Kissing him one more time, Dani pulled away long enough to slip her boots off and pull the blankets down, motioning for him to get in. Good. Get used to it...I hope. This new revelation of hers was either going to kill her or be the best thing that had ever happened. Despite his reassurances that he was okay with it, Dani was still a little skeptical. Besides...it'll be nice to not have to feel down for a while...even if it is weird. She teased, one of her hands resting on the side of his face as she snuggled closer to him, closing her eyes.

He leaned his cheek toward her touch. He brought his hand up running the backs of his fingers along the soft skin of her cheek, as he gazed at her. Dani relaxed in to his touch for a moment while she listened to him talk. Everything felt so right that it made her heart want to burst from pure happiness. Eventually she moved so that their faces were almost touching before she opened her eyes again, soft and maybe even a little more loving than usual as she looked at him. Now you just need to get on my level. She grinned, closing the distance between them to kiss him softly and slowly. They had all the time in the world right now, so why rush? Her legs tangled themselves with Gem's at an excruciatingly slow pace and her free arm wrapped around his neck, completely twining the two of them together. Weird only works with company. Her voice was low and slow, her natural southern drawl peaking out just a little bit before she kissed him again, only slightly less timid.

Gemini wasn't sure what had gotten into Dani She seemed way more affectionate than usual not that he was complaining in the slightest. He decided not to dwell on it and relaxed into the moment instead focusing on the softness of her lips and the rhythmic sounds of their breathing. One arm held her close to him his hand pressing gently into her lower back, The other hand cradled her face, stroking her cheek with the side of his thumb as he kissed her back matching her slow pace. There was a mischievous grin on his face when he pulled away Well I guess it's a good thing I'm just as weird as you are, if not more so He said softly.

The night before and their morning had been amazing, up until Gem had gotten drunk and decided to go play hide and seek somewhere in the hotel. Then the incident in the chat went down...two or three times, and by that point Dani was ready to go find the nearest bar. Unfortunately the weather man was wrong and it was definitely still snowing. She couldn't leave the stupid resort until the roads cleared and she could either corral Gem back in to the car or call a cab. Raelynn being upset made more sense by the minute as Dani text her, but she couldn't decide if she was sympathetic or annoyed with the whole situation. Why, for two minutes, could something not just go her way? As soon as Rae ended the conversation, Dani threw the phone on the bed, changed in to a warm sweater and a pair of jeans, and then made her way to the little living area in the suite to heat up some of the food from the diner. Maybe not being hungry would help her with the nasuous feeling that had settled in her stomach. Instead of sitting at the table, she took her food to the couch and laid down under a blanket to watch the snow fall outside the window. Hopefully Gem would show back up soon, drunk or otherwise. |

What had started as fun playful game of hide and seek, at least for him had turned into nothing more than a headache and it wasn't just from the fireball he had insisted on drinking way too much of. Somehow even miles away from the school in a blizzard Dani and He still hadn't been able to escape the drama of Ashford. He was more than thoroughly annoyed at Raelynn and her blow up in the chat room added to the fact that he truly had lost his boots.
Opening the door to their room he stomped in crankily. His socks were soaked as well as the bottom of his jeans from thinking it had been a wonderful idea to go outside, Flecks of snow lay in his hair still and he ran his fingers through it in an attempt to shake them off but only succeeding in melting them and making his hair damp, which as usual made in curl in different directions. He was mostly sober and he wasn't sure if that was a good thing or a bad thing all things considered You Suck at Hide and Seek. He said obviously annoyed even if it wasn't at Dani.

Dani looked Gem over and rolled her eyes as she took him in. It was a miracle that he hadn't died of hypothermia yet considering how cold it was and how much water he was covered in. Sorry, I was being made to feel like a horrible person by your one true love. She replied sarcastically, pulling the blanket over her head as she read Rae's texts again. Throwing her phone down a few feet away, she growled in frustration. I hate this. I hate that we can't just be happy for two stupid days without someone jacking it up. Is there some cosmic rule that nothing I do can go right? She half yelled in frustration. One thing. That's all she was asking for at this point.

Her eyes were full of frustration and pain as she stood up and walked to the other side of the room. I'm not sure if it's fine or not. How many people are we hurting like this? Like is she really in love with you and I'm standing in the way of something awesome? Should I just give up and go on? She started, throwing her hands up in the air as she paced around the room. I mean...I don't know. I'm just so confused. I want this to work...I want us to work. Damn it, why can't I be in love with you too? That definitely wasn't how she wanted things to go down, but now it was out in the open and she couldn't do anything about it. With an exasperated sigh, she walked backwards towards the wall and slid down so that her head was resting against her knees. Now he was going to freak out and leave just like he had with rae. Maybe it was time to call that cab now.

Shaking her head, Dani stood up and started walking towards him. Unfortunately he was in her way if she wanted to get to the door right now or even to the bedroom. The last thing she wanted to do was cry or get upset in front of Gem after all of the drama they already had today. Forget I said anything. She whispered, trying to figure out what to do next. Should she go to the lounge, the bedroom...oh man. I'm just...I think we're out of coffee... There, her mind was made up...even if there wasn't anywhere to get coffee in the building that didn't require a jacket and probably a rope. Now she just had to work up the resolve to actually pass Gem, if he let her out at all.

His eyes narrowed at her, not moving from the spot he was in. He could feel his heart starting pound in his chest and he barely noticed the icey cold feeling of his skin that was still in the process of warming up. He wasn't sure exactly how he felt maybe something like a mix of dread, shock and maybe if he thought about it long enough a tad bit of happiness, relief. He rubbed the back of his neck nervously. Her words were almost as soft as his, but she couldn't help but notice the tinge of hurt and sarcasm that they were laced with. It's not a 'not relationship' Dani, It's a fucking relationship. We have a relationship it doesn't need labels for that. There was a clear annoyance in his voice now as he crossed his arms over his chest, clearly standing in her way from leaving. Also please don't start telling me how I feel.. The IMs with Becca played in his head and he sighed Stupid Becca. Normally he would have shrugged everything off, told her that really sucked, or made immediately made a B-line for the door but Dani was always his exception and he pushed his natural instinct to run away. We obviously need to talk.
