Dani smiled at him but was cut off from answering whenever the waitress arrived with appetizers and wanted their food orders. This place rocked. Either that or they were trying to hurry them out of here before the storm hit too hard. I'm glad you like it...I just thought we needed to get away from the crazy drama for a little while. She conceded as someone changed the television in the corner to a news station for the latest update. At least it looks like we'll get to have some fun tomorrow or sunday. Tonight it's going to get bad, but we're already here. If they had waited they might not get to go at all.

And most of it somehow involving us...I don't know why they can't just leave us alone but apparently that's not a thing. She agreed, squeezing his hand just a little. The rest of the meal went by faster than she could imagine, mostly because the waitress did admit that they were trying to get everyone out and back up to the resort before the snow got too bad and they were stranded in town. Before she knew it, they were being given some complimentary stuff in a huge bag and then sent out the door. Apparently they didn't think the restaurant would be opening up again for a few more days so they were cleaning out stock. Well, at least we don't have to order room service for a few days. Dani teased through chattering teeth as soon as they were back in the mazda. maybe she should have worn something more winter appropriate for this.

Once back in the car Gemini gave Dani a sympathetic smile as he watched her teeth chatter. Leaning forward in the cramped space of the car he managed to wiggle his way out of his black jacket, leaving him in just the red thermal henley. The air was colder than he expected but he knew he'd deal with it better than his teeth chattering... whatever she was. He laid the jacket in her lap so she could do with it what She wanted. Looking out the window at the falling snow he bit his lip, hiding the concerned expression on his face. Luckily the drive wasn't that much farther and then he wouldn't have to drive in it again. Driving in snow didn't bother him but driving in a snow storm with Dani in the car did. He adjusted the heater as he pulled out of the parking lot Warm enough yet loser?

The gesture was touching and she left the jacket over her legs since they were giving her the most grief. a dress was not the best idea at all. Thanks babe. She would've leaned over to kiss him or hold his hand, but with the snow falling fast all she was really concerned with was letting him drive the last mile or so to the front desk so that they could check in. Luckily for them it went by fast despite their slower pace. Give me a sec and I'll grab our key. It should be ready by now for sure. The receptionist made some small talk about how they shouldn't have been out in the weather like that and Dani tried to ignore the older woman all together. A few minutes and some signatures later, she walked out with what she needed in hand. Alright. We're in the building on the left. She smiled, sliding back in to the car beside him.

Once they arrived at their destination, Gemini waited patiently in the car for Dani to check in, keeping the car running so it'd at least be warm when She returned. He smiled at her when She slid into the passenger seat. He found a place to park near where she said the room was, and turned the car off. He stepped out of the car and the cool air cut through his shirt like a knife. Holy Hell. He whispered under his breath not wanting Dani to hear him. He looked around at the falling snow, despite being cold there was a part of him that wanted to stay outside and take in the beauty of winter. He moved around to the passenger side of the car pulling her door open and offering her his hand. He eyed the boots she was wearing unsure if walking in snow in those was a good idea.

His eyes going to her boots made Dani a little concerned as she followed his basic train of thought. This was poor planning on her part. No judging the boots, but I guess you are back on bag duty. Don't open the present until we get to the room though, okay. She laughed, grabbing his hand and pulling herself up and almost immediately tripping so that she landed squarely against Gem's chest. His jacket was thrown over her shoulders from her trip inside and his cologne was barely wafting through the high wind. They really needed to get out of the weather, but with the way he looked in the snow she just couldn't help throwing her arms around his neck and kissing him deeply as the blizzard raged on around them.

He shivered slightly as the snow flakes landed on his shirt leaving small wet spots as they melted against the heat of his skin.He caught a glimpse of her tripping out of the corner of his eye and his free arm immediately found her waist steadying her as she fell against his chest. He looked down at her for a quick moment,before her arms were around his neck and her lips against his. He moved his free arm to wrap around her farther up her back while the opposite arm still held her around the waist pulling her tighter against him as he kissed her back.

The kiss ended all too soon as she realized that despite his northern guy attitude, Gem was just in a sweatshirt and that had to be freezing. Still, she couldn't help but let out a breathless laugh as she reached up to push a few snowflakes out of his hair. As exciting as this is, you might want to at least take the jacket back if we're going to go dancing in the snow babe. At this rate they were going to freeze to death, but she could care less right now. This was absolutely perfect, like something out of a movie.

The air was ice cold sinking in through the material of his shirt. It left his skin with the light stinging feeling not that he would let Dani know he was cold. Oh whatever..We're not even dancing. He smirked. He released her for a moment leaning in through the open passenger door. He dug the keys back out out of his pocket. Turning the car on, he flipped through the radio stations or at least whatever ones he could find. Too Fast. Too Lame. Commercial. Static. Not English... Finally hearing the beginning piano tune to that Luke Bryan song that had been all over the radio he adjusted the volume so that you could hear it perfectly outside of the car Perfect. He said out loud leaning back out of the car. He reached for her hand lacing her fingers through his, he felt a little guilty knowing his fingers must be freezing. His other hand finding her lower back again holding onto her securely so she didn't have to worry about tripping in her hot yet impractical boots as he started to sway to the music pulling her along with him. See, Now We're dancing in the snow.. He said matter of factly.

Despite the freezing temperatures and how cold Gem's hand was in hers, Dani couldn't help but wish that the moment would last for forever. For the first time since everything went down with Rae, she wanted to tell him she loved him, and not in the way he thought. If there was a doubt in her mind before it was completely gone now. She was in love with Gemini Cooper and there was no way she could say it out loud.
Pulling herself as close to him as possible, she swayed along with him to the slow beat of the music until the song stopped and she grinned up at her not-boyfriend. You are amazing. She whispered, leaning up to kiss his cold lips before swinging the back door open so that they could grab the bags. ...but you are also freezing...come on, let's get inside so we can warm up. There was an excited glimmer in her eye as she spoke, holding on tightly to the bag of food with one hand and the christmas presents in the other. Hopefully she didn't fall.

Despite the cold the song had ended too quickly for Gem's liking. He reached back into the car to grab the keys closing and locking the front door, while she open the back door. Returning his keys to his pocket, he reached into the back seat pulling out their bags adjusting them on his shoulders. He decided to leave the present for Dani to carry to keep him from 'accidentally' opening it on the way to the hotel room. He headed in the direction of the room slowly, glancing over his shoulder from time to time to make sure Dani was coming along okay and wasn't going to trip.That wasn't too cheesy was it? He asked tentatively as they arrived at the door to their room.

Shaking her head, Dani opened the door to the room and practically threw the stuff in her arms down so that she could drag Gem in through the door. no...that was pretty much the most amazing thing I've ever done. She whispered, slipping his jacket and hers off so that they laid in the floor. Man, this part was going to be a little uncomfortable. Once she was she Gem's hands were completely empty, she wrapped her warm arms around his colder body in an attempt to help warm him up, and at least a little bit because she felt empty without him holding her. Now we just have to get you warm again. Her smirk turned from slightly playful to mischievous in an instant.

Once they were there, she kissed him again, more insistent this time. There were words lingering on the tip of her tongue, but she couldn't say them just yet...even if she wanted to.
