It hadn't taken Gemini long to decide he needed out of Wyoming, permanently. The one person who had anchored him there didn't want him and the other person who might have convinced him to stay had basically made him feel used and disposable with as she quickly as she had dropped him. From a few more conversations with Ryan he had discovered that Missie hadn't gone missing like he couldn't find her, She had gone missing in the sense that Ryan didn't want to find her. A few calls around and a Facebook search and Gemini had easily located his boyhood crush.
He had dropped into the Ashford chat a couple times, reading what everyone said had only confirmed that Wyoming wasn't a place he needed to be anymore even if he appreciated Raven and Ralph caring. Missie had be ecstatic to see him when he arrived in LA and She didn't mind showing it but trying to shove her tongue down his throat. They definitely didn't have the 'she's like a sister to me' relationship.
He had actually been surprised that Missie was living in a pretty expensive penthouse apartment with a pool, since he had heard she'd ran off he figured She'd be living in a hole in the wall but he guessed he shouldn't be surprised that Missie was still dipping into Daddy's check book, or at least it appeared that way.
They had spent awhile catching up which really included hooking up and getting drunk. She had informed hum she was having from friends over which had somehow turned into a huge party. Gemini had gladly swallowed a couple pills Missie had offered not bothering to ask what they were. As long as they made whatever he was feeling go away he didn't care. He lounged on the white sofa his head propped in some no name girls lap. His phone occasionally buzzed on his chest as IM's came through. He lit a cigarette as he watched a couple girls dance on the kitchen counter to the beat of the music that was blasting entirely too loud. A euphoric laziness was creeping in that made him feel like he was in a hazy dream like state. He took a hit off the cigarette staring at the smoke he had exhaled, finding it all too mesmerizing all while whatshername played with his hair.

She can create fire, but it is easier, right now, for her to use fire that is already created to play with, hence the lighter. Raelynn is weak against cold weather, ice, and water which puts a damper on her power. She has to have sufficient oxygen to control fire and if, for some reason, she were suffocating, her power would instantly be harder to control.
She can use a small flame and, from that, create more fire far more easily than create fire from nothing. Raelynn can use her power as much as she wants, at least she will be able to after practicing at Ashford.

    After a rather emotional epiphany on her part, Raelynn knew that she was pretty much the dumbest of dumb blondes in the entire world. It didn't take her long, after the confirmation from Ryan, to decide that while everyone looked for Gemini in Calloway and Seattle, that she would direct her efforts, and rather large checkbook, to a search elsewhere. She wasn't sure exactly how many zeroes she had put on the end of the check to the guy who gave her Missie's address. But none of that really mattered. She was too busy boarding a private jet she had chartered out of Cody.
The flight was projected to take just under 5 hours and those were the longest, most excruciating five hours of Raelynn's life. She took a show in the bathroom of the jet, changed clothes into an outfit she had in her bag, and then she waited. Her phone was dead, much to her dismay, and she found herself staring out the window longing for something more than mountains and countryside. She tapped her foot impatiently on the floor of the jet and just stared and stared and stared.
When they finally arrived at LAX, Raelynn was thankful she had lived in the city before. She pushed through the crowds impatiently, hired a driver, and was on her way in under an hour after climbing down the steps of her plane and stepping directly on the runway. It took longer than she wanted to get through the general hustle and bustle of city traffic and reach her ultimate destination. Missie's house. Raelynn paid the driver and stood at the door, not bothering to knock yet. Now that she was here, she couldn't decide what exactly she was going to say to get him to come back.
The music inside was loud and obnoxious and, if she had been here even six hours ago she would have joined in the festivities and probably ended up in the hospital overdosed on some drug she didn't even know the name of. But her entire mind was filled with one thing. She turned the doorknob and pushed the door open. There were more girls than guys in the place, which she thought would make finding Gemini easier, but all it did was distract her. She could smell the smoke of marijuana drifting around her and the stench of tequila floated on the air. There were people right in front of the door, snorting lines off of a naked girl's stomach. The fact that Gemini might be here made Raelynn sick to her stomach.
The penthouse was bigger than she had thought it was from the outside. She ended up near a pool at some point, surrounded by guys hollering as someone did a keg stand on the diving board. Raelynn pushed back into the house and was now standing in what looked like a sitting room. There were a couple of girls sitting on a white couch and around the corner you could see people dancing on the counter. Raelynn, frustrated with how long it was taking, started asking people as she walked by, "Have you seen Gemini Cooper?" She wished that her phone wasn't dead so she could call him or at least have a picture to show people, but no such luck.
As she rounded the room, as finally got in a position where she could see the couch properly. Her blue eyes found the two girls on the couch, giggling and playing with someone's hair. She didn't know whether to scream and throw flames at people. Instead she just shoved some guy out of her way and made her way to the couch, "Get off of him!" She yelled, pushing the girl he was laying on in the shoulder, "Gemini, what the hell?" She yelled at him, grabbing his face in both of her hands and forcing him to look at her.  |

Gemini felt two hands on his face the hazzyness caused his reflexes to be unnaturally slow for a normal person and horribly for him. He squinted up at the person holding his face studying her for a second until it clicked that it was Raelynn. If these were the pills, he wanted new ones. Oh Hey Rae. Whats up.. his words came out slow and mouth turned into a goofy smirk as he laughed.He took another hit off his cigarette before sitting up. The girl Raelynn have shoved stayed put giving her dirty looks. Gemini patted the girl on the thigh Hey babe, can you go get me a bottle of tequila... The girl nodded and scooted off reluctantly. Want one? He held up the pack of cigarettes. He noticed the group doing lines off the girl. totally doing that next.. he said out loud but to no one in particular.

Five hours. Raelynn spent five hours on a plane and more than an hour of driving time for this? She glared at him furiously and waited from the other girl to leave. She was about to open her mouth to say something but he interrupted, making a comment about the cocaine at the door. For some reason, that pushed her over the edge.
Thankful for his dulled reflexes, Raelynn heated her hand a little and slapped him hard across the face, "Are you kidding me?" She screamed, getting the attention of some nearby partiers, "After everything you did to me, and to Dani." She huffed and shook her head, "I can't believe I just spent five hours on a plane to come see you and you don't even look halfway happy to see me." She stood up, yanked the tequila out of the girl's hand when she came back. Raelynn tipped the bottle back and sucked in as much as she could. She needed the liquid courage for what she had planned anyway, not that any of that seemed to be going her way, "Thanks. Go pop a pill or something." Se said tot he girl, shoving the bottle back in her arms. The slut made a face like 'fuck this shit' and turned around.
Raelynn rounded on Gemini, glaring at him again, but softer this time, "What are you even doing here? Did this seem like a good plan?" She grabbed his face again and looked into his eyes. His pupils her dilated, "What are you even on right now?" She snapped, sweating in her Captain America jacket. She slipped it off, revealing her white belly-button tank top and her daisy dukes. The guy she had pushed earlier raised his eye brows and grinned at her.
Raelynn used a sleeve of the jacket to wipe some sweat off of Gemini's face, "You idiot..." she mumbled bitterly. |

What the hell?! Gemini snapped as Raelynn's hand made contact with his face, luckily whatever was pumping through his veins was dulled the pain of the slap. He shook his head his movements uncoordinated You didn't want me.. his voice was mumbled and for a second he thought he felt the pain seeping in again. He watched Raelynn take the bottle from the girl Hey be nice to her. I like that one. She plays roughHe giggled stupidly when She turned on him Of course this was a good plan. It's a magnificent plan. I'm feeling awesome sauce. He took another hit off of his cigarette blowing out the smoke fascinated in watching it float by. He squinted at her trying to focus I don't know whatever Missie gave me.. He looked around for the party princess but didn't see her. Raelynn wiping sweat from his face brought his attention to his rise in body temperature. He placed the cigarette in the ashtray at his feet while he reached back pulling up the back of his shirt yanking it over his head. His 'no marks' policy had gone unheard by Missie who had left a couple of hickeys on his shoulder. Girl, I don't know why you be trippin' it's all good. He gave her lazy smile retrieving his cigarette. The other girl who had been by having no regard for their conversation leaned in whispering something in his ear and then slipped another pill in his hand when He held it out.

Raelynn just stared at him open mouthed, "Didn't want...?" Grabbing the pill from his hand she yelled at him, "If I remember correctly, it was you that didn't want me." Her voice was full of whatever emotion you would call this. She didn't have too much experience with anything in the realm of love, but all she knew was that she needed to make a point. She might have been wrong to tell him she was done with him, but he hadn't even looked her way when Dani was leaving. If she had closed the door and said nothing, would he even have noticed? The thought was painful and made her heart ache, "This..." She held up the pill, "...you really think taking random drugs will help? Fine. Let's find out." She popped the pill in her mouth and swallow it dry, rolling her eyes as she stood and stumbled across the room. That tequila was making her brain fuzzy and what ever was in her mouth was some sort of dissolving thing. It made her head feel weird almost instantly so when she tripped and someone caught her, she just thanked them and tried to pull away.
A man had his arm wrapped around her waist for support as he lowered her into an armchair that was the same white as the couch not even three feet away. Raelynn glared at Gemini again, tears forming in her eyes against her will, "I saved you the trouble, it's not helping at all." She said to him, as the tears fell from her eyes and marked her already swollen face.
As she watched him, not even registering that whatever guy had helped her into the chair was now kissing her neck, her eyes found the hickeys. It didn't surprise her really, but it still hurt. The raw burning sensation inside her made her feel hot and angry again, but instead of lashing out she just closed her eyes and cried. |

He wanted to respond to her comment but the cloudyness in his brain wasn't allowing him enough strength to form a solid response. Gemini couldn't help but to be a little shocked when she took the pill from his hand and popped it in her mouth. Logical Gemini would have yelled at her for taking a strange pill that even he wasn't sure what it was, He also would have been able to catch her instead of the sleazeball that did but the pills causing their ever present haze weren't allowing him much ability to do anything. The one thing they couldn't stop was the feeling of jealousy as the guy kissed Raelynn's neck. The drugs making him completely oblivious to Raelynn's crying.
Missie must have saw a bit of their conversation as she came strolling up in a black bikini top,red leather pants, holding a pipe and lighter in her hand, She looked more like a hooker than someone who owned a PentHouse Apartment. She leaned over the couch sliding her arms around Gemini's neck and down his chest. Gemmy! She popped the cigarette that was hanging out of the corner of his mouth and placed it to her own lips taking a hit of it. Whose She? She motioned to her with the hand holding the cigarette She's cute. Ooo Can we play with her? Gemini eyed Raelynn his eyes narrowed. Nawh, Raelynn doesn't like to play with me anymore. She kicked me to the curb.

Open mouthed, "What the hell? Get off me!" She yelled, pushing the guy who she only just realized was all over her. She felt sick to her stomach and wondered what exactly was causing it. Probably a mix of many things; Gemini being how he was being, the random drug she was on, her make-out session with the tequila bottle a moment ago, the smell of this place, that disgusting girl who Raelynn assumed was Missie. She pushed at the random person again, "I said get off of me!" She released a little fire from her fingers, burning the man who jumped away and looked like he was tripping on something. He rubbed his eyes and shook his head, choosing to walk away rather than ask about it, which Raelynn was thankful for.
Obviously anger wasn't getting her anywhere and the jealousy bubbling in her stomach was not helping. She stood up and glared at Gemini, "You know, screw this. I came to say something to you and I'm just going to say it." She snapped, "I am sorry for everything. I shouldn't have invited you over knowing you didn't want to hurt Dani. I shouldn't have kissed you. I shouldn't have been so freakishly broken when you so clearly chose her that I decided to say some really awful and untrue things." She took a deep breath, feeling like she was choking on her words as the tears stained her face, "And I'm not going to ask you to come back to Calloway, because it's not fair of me to ask that of you," She was saying it just how she had rehearsed in it her head a million times on the way here from Wyoming, "But I love you and wish you would could back." There, speech over. It didn't get delivered quite like she had imagined, but at least she had said what she came to say. She looked at him and bit her lip before looking at her feet, "I should go..." She didn't know it was possible to feel even more broken than before as she turned to walk away. |

Once it had sunk in that Raelynn didn't want the guys attention, he shot him an icy glare but he didn't have to do much more than that since Raelynn had already taken care of it. He stared at while she gave her speech, his mouth dropped slightly when She said she loved him. He wasn't sure how that made him feel as he stared up at her a complete look of shock on his face, even the drugs couldn't dull his understand of that word. Though he had wished they were having this conversation when he was more coherent to his own feelings, He couldn't figure out whether the flipping in his stomach was from happiness or sheer panic but he did know that he didn't want her to walk away, not again. Rae... was the only thing he could get out. He wiggled out from Missie's grasp making it to his feet again even if he wobbled a little bit. Don't go.. His voice was quiet but pleading and suddenly the party that had been amazing was becoming too overwhelming, the bass was too loud in his ears, the amount of people in the space were making it hotter than he was already feeling and the peaceful haze was turning into dizziness. I need to get out of here...

She stopped when he said her name. Just that sound made her heart hurt a little less. She didn't want to get her hopes up, but how could she not. He was suddenly standing next to her, asking her not to go then saying he needed to leave. Raelynn nodded and, without hesitating or thinking about it too hard, grabbed his arm and started leading him to the door, which was almost too easy because of how drugged up he was, "Come with me, I have a hotel room." She said, "You can stay there and decide what you want to do tomorrow." Her little disclaimer about his decision made her feel a little guilty. She shouldn't give him an ultimatum like that...But she had.
She put him in the elevator and pressed the ground floor button. Please to find that the doorman would call her a car, she sat on a bench outside the building with Gemini waiting and chewing on her lip and terrified of what he might say to her. |

The fresh air if you could call it that was helping clear his head a little bit at he sat on the bench staring at a nearby street light, maybe still a little too entranced by the dancing lights. He rubs his eyes for a second trying to focus. He bit his lip and after a long moment finally spoke. I don't know what the deal is with you. I can't stay away from you and it drives me crazy. You drive me crazy. From the day I met you I couldn't stop thinking about you, Do you know how absolutely annoying that is for me? He shook his head an amused look on his face, he wasn't sure if he found it funny because it was or because he was still high. Like me. Gemini Cooper. Can't get some girl out of his head... His fingers found the tattoo on his wrist and he smiled sadly at it You took my words to Dani the wrong way, Rae. I didn't choose her over you. It had nothing to do with choosing. I love Dani. I've loved Dani since the day She stepped foot on Ashford campus, She knows me like no one else does, now... She probably knows way too much about me.. He turned to face her I can't lose my best friend and I hurt her, really badly. more so than I think i can forgive myself over but my love for Dani isn't romantic.There he had said it. He fell silent for another moment taking a deep breath Raelynn I have feelings for you. I'm not sure what the are or what they mean but they're there, but I'm not the kind of guy you want to be in love with. He shivered as he became aware for the first time that he had left the party without taking his shirt with him.

She listened to everything he said while staring at the light across the street. Her mind was feeling heavier and heavier every second that they waited and, unsure of what she took, Raelynn wondered slightly to herself if she should go to a hospital or something. But she shook it off and listened to him. Every single on of his words weighed on her heart and couldn't help but laugh a little at his final statement, "Really? You think I don't know that?" She asked, shivering herself, "I tell myself everyday that you aren't good enough for me." She could feel her eyes drooping as she spoke and her words became slow and slurred, "But you have no idea that kind of affect..." She slid sideways and her head landed in his lap, "Santa Monica." Raelynn said, "Hotel." And then the world was all a fuzzy black color and she didn't remember a thing. |

Raelynn's head falling in his lap had been awkward and only became more awkward when Raelynn's car arrived and the driver had to help him get her into the car. Normally he would have been able to do it himself but the drugs in his system still made him unsure of himself and his footing. He told the driver exactly what Raelynn had said and he faced another awkward situation when he had to manage to carry her into the hotel, all the while hoping that people would just assume he was getting his drunk girlfriend back to their room from partying. She threw up all over my shirt.. He told a random person who was staring. At this point he just hoped to make it to Raelynn's room without someone calling the cops.
Once he got her to her room he placed her on the king sized bed under the covers. He considered laying down on the couch but the pills were starting to wear off and some logic was starting to creep back in. He wasn't sure what Raelynn had taken or what it would do, he wasn't even sure he should be here with her maybe he should have taken her to the hospital. He laid down next to her on top of the covers watching her chest rise and fall until eventually he couldn't keep his eyes open anymore and passed out.

Raelynn has the ability to control and manipulate fire and heat. She is completely heat resistant. She can create fire, but it is easier, right now, for her to use fire that is already created to play with, hence the lighter. Raelynn is weak against cold weather, ice, and water which puts a damper on her power. She has to have sufficient oxygen to control fire and if, for some reason, she were suffocating, her power would instantly be harder to control.
She can use a small flame and, from that, create more fire far more easily than create fire from nothing. Raelynn can use her power as much as she wants, at least she will be able to after practicing at Ashford.

Man, this bed is more comfortable than I remember, Raelynn thought to herself through the hangover. She left her eyes closed, afraid the Wyoming sun would blind her to death if she dared open them, and rolled over to hide her face in the pillow. As her arm swung around to hug the pillow, it handing on something warm, solid, and totally un-pillow like. She flinched, her eyes shooting open, and she found herself face to face with a sleeping Gemini, "Holy..." She almost freaked out but the broken fragments of memory from the night before started to flash in front of her eyes and she decided it would be better not to wake him.
Raelynn carefully climbed out from under the covers and grabbed a blanket from the couch. The sun hadn't quite come up all the way, telling her that it was way too early in the morning for her to be awake. She tossed the blanket over Gemini before ducking into the bathroom to wash away what felt like the nastiest night ever. It was almost like she could still feel that creepy guys lips on her neck when she undressed and climbed into the shower.
Once cleaned to her own satisfaction, Raelynn stepped out of the shower and looked at her clothes from the night before. Both her tank top and her short reeked of something foul and she couldn't help but wish she had had the foresight to bring a change of clothing into the bathroom with her. She had no choice but to venture into the room in her towel and try to find clothes quietly enough to not wake Gemini. |

Gem has super human agility this allows him to have quicker than normal reactions to things. In battle it can aid him in reacting quickly to attack. He can also launch attacks quicker. His agility abilities have saved many plates and other items from falling on the floor and breaking. He can also use it to catch pretty girls from falling which is one of his favorite benefits.
Unfortunately it's more of a defensive power and so it's not as useful if he needs to do an offensive attack. Due to the fast speeds he can move at it can leave him open to making mistakes.

I Can't Be Your Superman
Gemini was woken but by the sound of JARVIS stating over and over that he was 'sorry for the interruption but there was a matter that needed his attention' as text messages kept pouring into his cell phone. He didn't bother looking at them as he silenced the phone and went to roll back over.
He looked around the room as memories from the night before came seeping back into his brain. He could still smell the pot smoke in his hair and his mouth tasted disgusting. Smoking wasn't something he did regularly and now he remembered why. He tried to remember what else he had gotten into last night but a lot of the night was a blur. He heard the click of the bathroom and turned to see Raelynn sneaking out of the bathroom, he considered pretending to still be asleep, but he didn't want to deprive himself of the image of her in the towel. He raised his eyebrows at her Awh,You didn't wait for me? he teased
