He felt oddly content when she wrapped her arms around his neck and pulled him closer. He had brought his hand up run his fingers through her hair when started to kiss his neck. When he heard what she said he sucked in a breath like she had just physically hurt him with her words. He moved back away from her trying to choose his words and actions carefully. He knew he harbored some deep feelings for her obviously, why would his heart pound in his chest every time they were close, why else would he be mesmerized by every move she made but love? He wouldn't say it love meant relationships, and he didn't do relationships. Rae, I told you. You don't want to love me. His voice quiet and timid not sure if he should expect her to blow up or shut down.

Which meant that, from this moment into the rest of forever, she would be a liar, because she would never admit that she felt a stab of pain in her gut when he recoiled from her like she had burnt him, which she totally didn't mean to do if she had...
She jumped off the dresser and smiled at him, standing up on her tippy toes, "I know what you think. You're wrong." Raelynn leaned in and kissed him on the cheek before stepping back and grinning, "Challenge accepted." Proud of her, probably overlooked, How I Met Your Mother reference, Raelynn sat on the bed and started to strap on her black wedge heels, "I will go get you some clothes so we can get your car." She said, not letting her smile falter for even one second. |

He considered trying to explain himself further but It didn't seem like Raelynn would listen anyway and it might be best to just drop it. He raised an eyebrow at her when she said challenge accepted her How I Met Your Mother reference not lost on him Will it be legendary? He watched her put on the heels, He still hadn't managed to figure out why even her most mundane acts he found sexy I'm not going to lie Rae, the whole nerd thing? Hot. He said with a smile. Wait, you're getting me clothes? I thought we agreed that this was my best look.

When he asked her if it was going to be legendary, Raelynn could feel her face flush. That was one thing she noticed about herself recently that kind of sucked. Because she was always super heated, every little bit of nerves or embarrassment showed up on her face. Grinning, she stood up and stretched, taking him hips in her hands and pulling him towards her, "It's only legendary if you let it be, Babe." She smirked and looked down at the towel again, "And I wouldn't say the towel is your best look, but it is one I'm going to keep to myself for now." Winking, she giggled as she pulled away, bringing the towel with her, "And so you don't get any clever ideas of following me," Raelynn stuck her tongue out at him, running to the door. With one last lingering look at him, she disappeared through the door and jumped on the elevator.

Gemini wished he could say he didn't blush when Raelynn had taken off with his towel but he had feeling oddly self conscious.He had ended up waiting wrapped up in the sheet until She returned. When She did he was ecstatic to have clothes that didn't stink of something that Gemini could only describe as 'party.' He transferred all his belongings from his old jeans to the new ones thumbing through his wallet as he did so. He was both grateful and surprised that all of his credit cards and fake ID were still there and accounted for. Car keys. He found the pack of cigarettes and a small bag of what looked like a couple more pills from the night before. He debated whether to keep them and decided why not also shoving them in his pockets. He had helped carry Raelynn's stuff to the car even if he knew She could get a hotel employee to do it, he didn't see the point if he was there anyway.
He couldn't remember if there was anything important he left in Missie's apartment, his shirt but She could keep it there was no way he could get that kind of gross out of it at this point, He'd just buy another. He found the Mazda in the parking lot and smiled Baby! I missed you! He said to the car patting the hood. He turned leaning against the drivers door Are you ready? He rolled his eyes at his own words correcting himself Are you ready to go back?

    Raelynn didn't mind that Gemini wanted to help carry her stuff downstairs. Even though tipping some bell boy to do it was no problem for her at all, she kind of liked watching Gem lift stuff. Raelynn blushed at how stupid her own thoughts sounded and thanked her lucky start for the millionth time that Gemini wasn't one of the mind reader types. Just the idea of him being in his head more than he already was more her shiver as the cab pulled up to Missie's place and Gemini start a weird hug session with his car.
Raelynn raised her eye brows and snorted, "Are you asking me, or the car?" She teased, pulling the passenger door open and sliding into the comfortable leather seat in one fluid motion. Raelynn looked at the building from inside the car while she waited for Gemini to get in. It looked different from the last time she was here. Of course, she felt really different too. Even though he hadn't said he loved her back, and there was no finality to anything like she was sure everyone back in Calloway was hoping for, she was contented for now and somehow that was okay.
Once she was leaning back in the chair, Raelynn whipped her phone out without bothering the buckle her seat belt. In her Camaro, the driver's side seat belt was always buckled so when she got in, she would just sit on it. She it didn't even occur to her that this car might beep insistently at her until she was following all proper road laws. Pulling up Goggle maps, Raelynn charted their routed, "FOURTEEN hours?!" She said more loudly than she meant to. Glancing sideways at Gemini, she shook her head, "You drove fourteen hours to get here?" Her eyes were wide with shock as she tried to figure out how exactly he didn't crash, given the state of obvious distress he had been in. Gotta love those reflexes, I guess. Looking back at the map, she grinned, turning her phone so he could see, "Hey Gemmm." She said in a cute, begging sort of voice, "He have to go through Veeeegassss." Cue puppy dog eyes.  |

I don't need to ask the car, my baby is always ready. He pulled on the backdoor of the car which opened backward and set Raelynn's stuff down. He closed the door dropping down into the drivers seat. He took a minute to adjust everything grabbing his aviators out of middle consul and sliding them on his face. He dug his cell phone out of pocket plugging it into the AUX chord that hung from the Stereo, he pulled up his playlist and dropped his phone into Raelynn's lap the way he did most people who rode him. Your in charge of music or whatever. I don't really know what you listen to. Most of Gemini's playlist was Rap or R&B and could be considered offensive. He turned and looked at her Google maps doesn't calculate in the way I drive. He said with a mischievous smile before noticing She wasn't wearing her seat belt. Which is why you should put your seat belt on... He shoved the key into the ignition turning it the cars engine roaring to life. He stared at her big blue puppy dog eyes when she asked about Vegas, He couldn't help it he melted. Fine..If we have to he teased.
There weren't many cars in the parking lot so Gemini hit the reverse pedal, spinning the steering wheel with the palm of his hand as the whipped backward making the tires squeal. It wasn't long until they hit the freeway doing well over the speed limit.

At first, Raelynn didn't react when he told her to buckle up. But it didn't take long for her to finally listen, wide eyed and grinning. She was never one to back down just because something was dangerous, in fact she always seemed to have more fun when the adrenaline was pumping through her system. She picked up his phone and starting scrolling through the music, nodding along to nothing as she searched for that perfect song. Shrugging, she just ran it back to the top and hit shuffle. She wasn't easily offended and he had pretty good music anyway.
Raelynn's blue eyes were glued to the passenger window, not because she couldn't look at Gemini, or didn't want to, but because she loved watching all the scenery fly by at incredibly high speeds. She mouthed the words to whatever song was blaring through the radio, but she couldn't tell you the name or artist for the life of her. And then a song she knew very, very well popped on and her head whipped around and stared at him, "Oh. My. God." She grinned at him like she was making fun of him and started singing along, "I've had the time of my life..." She reached across the console and rested her hand on his shoulder dramatically, "And I owe it all to youuuu." Raelynn burst out laughing and starting dancing in the passenger seat to the Dirty Dancing song.
Picking up Gemini's phone, Raelynn unlocked it smiling and still dancing a little to the song, singing along loudly in the passenger seat as she searched through his music looking for the rest of the Dirty Dancing soundtrack. She gave up before she even really looked, not caring enough to try and find the rest. |

Gemini groaned when 'The Time Of My Life' started playing over the speaker. You would He silently cursed the universe. The last thing he needed was for Raelynn to have more ammunition to make fun of him, and the song was a bit of a sore spot at the moment. Though despite all that He couldn't deny that She was adorable dancing in the passenger seat. He gave her a smile Cute. all because of me huh? He teased. He made a mental note to clear out the Dirty Dancing soundtrack when he got back home. He watched her unlock his phone going through his playlist again I'm not responsible for anything else you might find in there. He warned though the texts and pictures had slowed since he started his somewhat thing with Dani they hadn't completely and Gemini very rarely cleaned out his phone.

They had finally reached the countryside, leaving the big city of Los Angeles behind them. Suddenly, Raelynn felt a stab of guilt that she hadn't even thought to stop in a see her friends from high school while she was in town. Of course, chances were good they were at that party last night... She shook her head, and leaned against the window of the sports car. Even with the loud music booming around her, she was having a hard time keeping her eyes open. She picked up Gemini's phone again, hoping there was a game on it that would entertain her. She didn't know how to use the phone though, and the text messages popped up on the screen.
There were many things on that text messaging list that would have made a normal girl mad, but the one thing that caught Rae's eye, the thing that made her sit up and glare playfully at Gemini, was almost unnoticeable, "Sassy Pants? Seriously?" She rolled her eyes and lightly punch him in the arm, "So mean..." |

He raised an eyebrow at her when She punched him in the arm over the name he had given her in his phone Point Proven. he said dryly. He wasn't sure he was happy to be leaving Los Angeles behind, he knew he needed to go back to Wyoming even if it was for a short period of time. He needed things to be right with Dani, his Dad was livid he had gotten the phone calls to prove it as well as a couple from his mother. That was going to go over fabulous and then there was Ry, he had been forced to abandon him once. The words 'abandon' triggered something for him and he sighed. Then on top of all of that there was this new little bit of information that made everything that much more complicated. He gave Raelynn a side ways look, apparently this absolutely insane girl loved him. He shook his head again, Crazy. She was absolutely and completely crazy.

Raelynn narrowed her eyes at him and smirked playfully as she dove into his contacts and changed her name in his phone to "HOTTEST GIRL IN THE WORLD ❤ ❤". Pleased with her handy work, she sat up awake now. Raelynn wasn't sure how long they had been on the road, but she was kind of thankful that he was driving so fast. Maybe it wouldn't take a full 14 hours to get home at this rate.
The beginning tune to "Or Nah" by the Weeknd started to play loudly on the speakers and Raelynn giggled, "Yesss! I love this song." She said, leaning across the console to sing to him, "Do you like the way I..." Raelynn bit her lip and giggled again, leaning the seat back so she could lay down, "I'm starving." She groaned between the verse and the chorus. |

He sung along with the lyrics not concerning himself with the content of the song. He looked over at her she groaned that she was hungry, they had been driving for quite awhile and were already out of California so it wasn't surprising. We could stop a grab some snacks from the next gas station, or real food?

Turning in the seat was harder than she had expected, as she had forgotten that she had the seat belt on. Rolling her eyes, she un-clicked it and turned so she was laying on her side so she was looking at Gemini, "It's up to you." She said wistfully, "If we just get snacks then we are on the road sooner, but then there is real food..." She sighed, kind of hoping they could eat at a restaurant or something. Someplace with steak. That sounded awesome. But she would leave it up to him. In her mind, he was the one that was on a timeline to get back to Calloway, not her.
Raelynn frowned, "I can't believe I left my jacket at that party." a shiver ran up her spine reminding her that she was woefully without anything to cover her bare shoulders and legs. |

Gemini scowled at her when She un-clipped her seat belt. I'm doing like 90 Rae. It could have been more he didn't bother to check the speedometer. Gemini normally didn't mind taking risks. He trusted his reflexes for the most part as long as he wasn't intoxicated or overly tired but he didn't like taking other people's lives in his hands. I don't make decisions. Don't you need to get back to Becca? He had to admit the quicker they made it back the quicker he could try and patch things up with Dani, of course it also meant it was that much sooner that Jasper would also get his hands on him and Gemini wasn't looking forward to that either. Awh that's shitty. I'm sorry boo. I'll buy you a new one He honestly felt bad that She had left her jacket at Missie's he could probably coax Missie into sending it to him if someone else hadn't taken off with it but he wasn't sure Rae would really want it back it was probably gross. He caught her shiver and reached behind the seat grasping his leather jacket out of the back seat dropping it on her. Here babe.
