 The gentle blues tune that was the current selection on the Jukebox, had Monty feeling that familiar sense of home. The warm, buzzing atmosphere of the place that he spent most of his evenings earning a living and chatting to the good citizens of Calloway. He enjoyed his job and anyone that saw him serving away at the bar or cleaning up for the night. He found that he easily got caught in the music and his hips would sway as he poured beers and served shots. Tonight the place was full of people, all conversing with their own groups or they'd randomly start up a conversation with someone else. Monty found this place to be the social hub for those that were old enough to drink and sometimes kids from the Academy came just to play pool and hang out. He'd been busy since his shift started but even when nights were all go, Monty never let up his enthusiasm.
Standing behind this bar, serving these people made him happy. He slid the two pints he'd just been filling over to the older gentleman, "There you are sir. Enjoy it." He said with a smile, which was returned as the sixty something year old returned to his buddies at one table. They were ex-miners all of them. Seeing no more customers at the bar, Monty decided that the bar area could do with a cleanup, especially one table that had recently been vacated. It was a bachelors party or something. Monty made to move out from behind the bar but noticed there were three, very big, very drunk men blocking his way. He didn't want to deal with any confirmation today so he went over the counter instead, jumping back down to the floor on the other side. He walked around the empty tables gathering all the glasses and other dishes that were around. If she were to encounter a power negation SPB, there would be no drastic change. After she chooses her age, she begins to age at a regular rate until she uses her power again.

 Her home on one of the rolling hills just beyond the Calloway city limit had finally been finished. It was a beautiful log cabin styled home with an A frame on the front and three bedrooms. But once the renovations were, done Willa knew she would need something else to amuse herself with. If she remembered correctly, there was mention of a small bar in town that could use some help keeping afloat. After appearing before the owner as a twenty-one year old girl, it took more convincing than she thought necessary to finally get the old man to sell her the place. The name of the bar was 'The Oasis'. It was a cruddy little dive of a place and reminded Willa of the illegal speakeasy she used to frequent years ago. The previous owner, who's name was Alfie, pushed open the door for her and held it ajar so the small girl could slip into the bar. Elvis was playing on the radio and a man, who Willa assumed to be the bartender, was dancing around while he cleaned the place up. Aflie waved at him and pointed at Willa, " This is Miss Willa Collins." He said in a rough voice tinged with an accent from the deep south, " She just bought the place off me." Determined to keep with her young look, Willa giggled and tilted her head playfully to one side, her ponytail of red hair swung back and forth as she extended her hand, " Nice ta meetcha!" He had cleared up most of the glasses and they'd been placed back on the bar where they could be washed later. Monty had heard the door open and glanced up to see the owner of the bar walk in with a pretty, redhead in tow, he had started making his way over to Alfie before the man even waved at him. Monty couldn't help but make an effort to greet the owner, he was after all his boss and if Monty had anything it was respect especially for those in charge.
It seemed Alfie wanted to speak to him away because he was waving at him. "Good evening." he greeted both Alfie and the redhead he'd seen earlier. She looked to be about his age or maybe a tad younger, she was pretty regardless. Monty smiled at the woman, she had brought the Oasis. That was a brave move by anyone's standards, the bar was slowly loosing its popularity and although it was pretty busy tonight some nights the place was pretty dead. "Miss Collins, pleasure to meet you." he said shaking her extended hand gently. "I'm Montgomery Scott, but most people just call me Monty." Monty said with a smile.

Will smiled at the man politely, trying her best not to make it obvious that making eye contact with such a beautiful man had made her go weak at the knees. She shook his hand authoritatively and giggled, as if a young and very girlie giggle would help in covering up her attraction to the bartender. She looked to Alfie who was staring at the juke box and bobbing his head to the Elvis Presley song. He smiled at Willa and pointed over his shoulder at the machine in the corner, bright with lights but still somehow dingy and grungy to match the place, " I'll bet you kids wouldn't even know this song, but I remember watching him sing out in New York City years ago. Believe it or not, The King tripped over the cords laying all across the stage and fell. Broke his guitar right in two." He said, moving to sit at one of the bar stools. Willa followed politely, taking the seat next to him, " Oh I remember-" She cut herself off. Willa was about to gush about how great that exact show was, " -my grandmother was telling me about that." She finished smoothly, hoping she didn't give her age away. Alfie shook his head, laughing and saying something about how her grandmother must have been quite the looker, to have such a pretty granddaughter. Willa just nodded and looked over her shoulder at the bartender. My was he a looker. He reminded her of James Dean, but more modern. Or maybe a young, dashing Clint Eastwood. Either way, she found herself drawn to looking at him, and Alfie was obviously picking up on it, " Well, Young Lady, I think I ought to leave you to get acquainted with..." He trailed off and looked at Monty for a moment before motioning to the bar, " ...the place." With that, he was off and out the door before the Jailhouse Rock ended. Willa chewed on her lower lip as she slid out of the bar stool and fell a few inches before her feet finally touched the floor. She tugged at the hem of her baseball tee and found herself wandering the bar, looking around. She didn't know what would be appropriate for her to do so she ended up near Monty, looking at him expectantly, " So..." Thankfully Monty didn't make the connection between her seeing him and the girly giggle. He was to distracted by her for the most part and he cursed himself inwardly when he scanned his eyes over petite frame for the hundredth time in the last few minutes. He wasn't that type of guy and he just hoped she hadn't seen. He smiled at Alfie for a moment, the man had always been a friendly sort of person and he seemed to have a soft spot for Monty. Monty listened to Alfie gush about an Elvis concert, he didn't interrupt instead preferring to let the man have his moment of nostalgia while he snuck glances at Willa. He wondered what would motivate a young woman to buy a place like this. Monty watched as both Willa and Alfie went to sit down, he returned to the bar now able to get back in.
Monty couldn't hear the conversation, but from where he was stood Willa was directly in his line of sight. He saw her look over to him and he blushed hoping she hadn't seen him staring. Monty set about serving the few customers that had turned up at the bar, and when he was done Alfie was gone and Willa was walking around looking a little lost. It didn't take long for her to be by the bar where he was though. Monty smiled at her again, "Yeah, yes of course." Monty said quickly wiping down the side before moving back around to the front of the bar. "So this is The Oasis, this place is usually dead but today its been quiet busy." Monty explained. He didn't know how to start so that was how he figured he would. "This is the bar..." He said as he slapped the counter top gently, "...and you've seen where the Jukebox is." he said gesturing to the old machine in the corner. He smiled at Willa again, she probably thought he was a creep smiling so much but Monty was a firm believer in first impressions and well she was pretty darn gorgeous so he couldn't help it.

She couldn't help but giggle a little bit. What kind of person starts a tour with the two most obvious things you can see? Nodding slowly, Willa looked at the Juke Box, which clicked loudly in the corner. The music has run it's course and there were no more songs in the line-up causing the bar to go completely silent for a moment. Willa, grinned and reached into her pocket, finding a quarter. She turned her back on the bar and raised her eye brows at Monty for a moment before she finally turned away from his and leaned against the juke box, flipping through the music. With each tap of the button, a large claw like thing flipped the page in the ancient looking juke-box. The songs were all from about the fifties or sixties. In fact, the only songs that were relatively new all seemed to fall into the 'Sad Country Songs' category. She bit her lower lip and tilted her head to one side, smiling as she remembered sitting around a fire in the Philippines the first time she heard the song " I'll be Seeing You" by Billie Holiday on the radio. She pressed the buttons to make the song ring across the bar and ignored the weird looks from people in the bar who didn't agree with her choice of a song from 1944. She spun around in time with the song and started to kind of slow dance with herself, unaware that she probably looked silly. Willa stopped spinning when she reached where Monty was standing and grinned, " Dance with me or you're fired." She said playfully, holding out her hand to him. [googlefont=Nixie One] |

He didn't know why he started the tour with the most obvious things, he didn't know how to give tours especially not of a crumbly old dive bar in a sleepy town. However his new boss seemed pleased to go over to the Jukebox and start filling through the music. That old thing had no music that any twenty something your old may have chosen, he had to learn to like these old classic tune with all his nights working here. He smiled as she flipped through the music, if she was in an old rockabilly style polka dot dress, it would've been an awesome picture. He didn't have his camera though and he really didn't want to come off as a creep.
He heard the silence of the bar now be filled with music again, Willa seemed happy with her song choice even if the rest of the bar was less than impressed. It was an old song, he'd never heard it but knew it was one of the oldest songs on the Jukebox.
Monty watched as the woman seemed very happy to dance, by herself without a care of other people opinions or views. He couldn't help but think that she was unique, she was different from any other twenty year old. He was a little surprised when she danced over to him, and then told him that he would be fired if he didn't dance with her. "I guess I have no choice but to oblige." Monty said. He wanted to dance with her and it was less to do with saving his job than him wanting to be close to the beautiful redhead that had walked into a bar. He took her hand and made his way back to near the Jukebox where there was a little bit of space that could be considered a dance floor. He smiled at Willa again as they danced.

Willa couldn't keep the huge grin off her face as he wrapped his arm around her waist and pulled her close. He smelled like a mix between cologne and cigarette smoke, probably something he picked up working in the bar. She leaned her forehead against his shoulder as she song continued. She hummed along, smiling brightly. Willa always had one of those smiles that could light up a room when it appeared on her face. She leaned back and sang the words lightly as the song made her sway and dance. The tune brought back vivid memories of the American Army men as they stood outside the mess tent, singing the words loudly to one another and dramatically slow dancing. Back then people called her Colly. The song ended and ripped her from her day dream, suddenly reminding her that even if those people had survive the net few months of the war, the probably weren't alive anymore. Her clear brown eyes focused on Monty's face, which she suddenly realized was a mere inches from her own. Monty saw her smile, if he was making her happy then it wasn't a bad thing. He loved having her close to him, he wouldn't admit it out loud though. She was a petite woman, he swayed to the beat gently as she rested her head on his shoulder. He just hoped she couldn't feel his heart racing, as he continued to hold her. He could feel her humming against his shoulder.
Monty noticed her bright smile, it was the type that made you want to smile too. Monty thought her smile was also very genuine, something that you very often didn't get anymore. She seemed like a lovely woman and Monty knew that he was smitten. When the woman leaned back Monty made sure to support her by holding her back just above her tail bone, then he spun around gently. He watched as she sang the song gently, it seemed to mean more to the woman than most and Monty wondered why. He didn't ask though he just let her enjoy herself and he looked at her when the music came to an end. Her eyes were a deep brown and Monty could feel himself getting lost in them, they seemed to sparkle with both joy and mischief but also looked like they held years of emotions and experiences. He was lost for a moment and forgot that this was his boss and he cupped the woman's cheek and drew her closer to him before kissing her. The jeering and the hooting of the drunk individuals drowned out for a moment. Monty soon came to his senses though and he pulled away looking away sheepishly. "I'm sorry...your my boss." Monty said looking down at the floor. He didn't know what he was thinking, he was certain the woman would hit him or shout. Whatever came he knew he deserved it.

When was the last time Willa blushed? It must have been when she was with Jeremy all those years ago. But here she was, looking up, looking up at a much taller male who was significantly younger than her, and she was blushing. It made her thankful that not all of the incandescent light bulbs had been replaced. She took a step back, breathing heavily from the dancing and slid her hand down his arm until she found his hand and squeezed it as if telling him it was okay. She smiled brightly again and looked at the crowd, giggling and waving them on as if telling them to look away. " So about that tour..." She whispered, obviously trying to deflect the on-lookers. Willa didn't care what people thought of her, but there was a level of decency that had to be maintained. Growing up in a time when men kissed a girl's hand and, in public, that was as far as it ever went, made it a little strange for her to display any sort of PDA. Despite this, she stood on her tip-toes for a moment and kissed him on the cheek politely before she finally let go of his hand and turned back to the juke box where a young girl was complaining about the lack of new music. Monty finally looked up and saw Willa was blushing, it was an adorable look for her and he couldn't help the smile that broke out on his face. He let her go slightly as she took a step back, her hand running down his arm made him shiver just a little. He squeezed her back in return not sure what to say or do, he was just glad that she wasn't that mad at him.
"Uhm...yes the tour. " it was a good distraction and he'd thank her for that later. "Well you've seen front of house, I can show you round the kitchen as well." It was a dive bar but it served the odd bits of food as well, mainly fries and nachos. It was his turn to blush when she kissed him on the cheek, he rolled his eyes at the complaining girl. Granted the music wasn't to everyone's taste it did give the place a little bit of character, he guessed it was this that meant the place was surviving, even if it is just barely.

Willa's power of age manipulation is very broad, while being very specific at the same time. First, she can control her age at will. Whatever age she fancies to be, Willa can simply look at herself in the mirror and make herself that age. There are limitations tot he power that are worth mentioning. The first, it that she must be looking at herself in the mirror. She also can not make herself younger than the age where she originally obtained the power. In that case, it means she will never be younger than thirteen. She can use her power on herself whenever she wants but the more years she ages herself back, the more of a headache she will get. She has never tried to age herself back more than fifteen years at a time and is unsure of what may happen.
Although she doesn't know this, Willa can manipulate the ages of the people around her as well. She has never been formally trained in this ability and may never be trained in it, but that does not change the fact that the potential is there. Willa must be touching the person, skin to skin, and she must be looking in to their eyes. The limitations of Willa's ability as they pertain to other people are much more vast. For instance, she can not age someone younger than fifteen or older than thirty-five. She can only really do this for someone once every ten years or so and it can only be used once each time. his ability CAN keep someone else alive just like she keeps herself alive, but like I said it can only be used once every eight to ten years.
If she were to encounter a power negation SPB, there would be no drastic change. After she chooses her age, she begins to age at a regular rate until she uses her power again.

After a few minutes of complaining at the person who must have been her boyfriend, the girl settled on an old Queen song and returned to her seat. She looked at Willa and Monty expectantly and waved him down, obviously wanting to order a drink, " You should help her, I'll wait over here." Willa said, pointing at the bar. She pulled out one of the stiff backed stools and slid into it, crossing her legs. She waited for Monty to come back tot he bar to get the drinks for the customers in the corner and smiled, " When you get finished with them, you should make me something delicious." She challenged him, " And let me warn you, I have tons of experience drinking alcohol, so it better be the best drink you've ever made." It must have looked odd to see a girl who looking like she was barely twenty-one years of age bragging about her vast experience drinking. [googlefont=Nixie One] |

Odynokinesis is the ability to control pain. Monty can create, absorb and control the pain of others. He can take others pain away but essentially he absorbs it himself to he feels the pain but almost double what they feel. He can also increase others pain as well as decreasing it again. Increasing others pain doesn't have adverse effects on him except maybe people getting angry at him. He can also create pain on other people and transfer his pain onto others. His power only relates to others, he can't take away his own pain. He can also absorb mental emotional pain but again he feels it almost double what anyone else would. He can't manipulate mental or emotional pain but can remove it. Monty suffered a head injury that caused brain damage but only to the part of the brain that handles the control of powers. He can't control his pain creating and if he wasn't wearing his argumentation device everyone he comes close to would be in excruciating pain.

Monty liked the song choice she eventually settled on, Queen, who didn't love them. He saw the girl waving him over and he looked between her a Willa for a moment, "Yeah I should go help her." Monty said waving in her direction. He mentally cursed himself for repeating exactly what the woman had just said. He walked over to the girl and her boyfriend. "What can I get you?" he asked. He listened as each on went over what they wanted to drink, it was mostly beers and Whiskey shots. Monty walked back over to bar and started pouring the drinks as he listened to Willa.
He smiled at Willa, he would definitely make her something good."I'll get right on that." He said as be took the tray of drinks to the corner table. He wondered how someone so young could have vast drinking experience, he didn't even have a vast drinking experience and he was a bartender. "Something delicious for an experienced drinker." Monty said. He got out a cocktail glass and shaker. He got some ice, cognac, lemon juice and a little lemon juice. He shook it up in the shaker and poured it into the cocktails glass before adding a little mineral water. He handed it over to Willa, he wasn't sure if she would like it but it was a pretty color at least.

Willa smiled brightly as he made her drink, propping her head up in her palm as she leaned against the bar top. Monty slid the glass across the bar to her and she grinned again, "How pretty." She said, picking up the glass and bringing it up to eye level so she could look at it more closely. She grabbed a napkin and folded it neatly so she could wipe off the bottom of her glass before finally taking a sip. It wasn't too sweet, which was the first indicator that he wasn't one of those guys that assumed all girls liked sugary blue drinks with chunks of pineapple stuck in the middle. A good sign, in Willa's opinion. She smiled and nodded, " Congrats." She said, " You passed the first test." Willa carefully placed the glass back on the bar, the folding napkin beneath it. Like any other person close to her age, every little thing she did reminded her of a time earlier in her life. Willa always had to ad lib her stories like she was reciting historical fact so that no one would pick up the memory lane vibe it gave off, " You know, back in the 20's-" She started, taking another short sip of her drinks, " We were just happy to have alcohol at all. It never really occurred to us that we should care what it tasted like." She laughed, not realizing that she hadn't edited this particular memory and she had said 'we' instead of 'they'. Monty gave quick glances over to Willa as he made her drink. He smiled at her when he saw her smile, hers was somewhat infectious. She seemed pleased with the color, it wasn't bright pink or bright blue like most cocktails were. He liked his drinks to still look somewhat natural.
Monty had severed many cocktails and drinks, one thing he learnt was that not all girls likes bright, almost chemical looking drinks. Actually he'd met many ladies that drank scotch clean or Whiskey. "First test?" Monty said a little bit of worry etched on his face, what if there more tests that he couldn't pass. He didn't want to loose his job, he had been here for probably about two years.
Monty smiled at her again as she took, another sip of her drink. She seemed to be enjoying it. Monty listened to her speak and he picked up on the fact that she said we instead of they. "Speaking from experience? " Monty was joking of course. She could've meant 'we' as in the human race as a group, he had to admit it was a strange choice of word but she couldn't possibly have been around in the forties. He most definitely wasn't as she was at least a few years younger than him, at least she looked it.
