The weather outside, although not quite warm yet, was far warmer than it had been over the winter break. Raelynn was sitting on her bed and starring at the calendar. One week until Valentine's day. It had never been worthwhile to get worked up over Valentine's Day before, as she had never really been in a relationship. Not that she knew if she was really in one now, what with her and Ryan's weird habit of skirting the question. She decided, finally, that she would just ask him. Standing up, Raelynn pulled her closet door open and starred at the clothing within. She needed something cute and sexy to wear for this. She tugged a red dress out of her closet and slipped into it, trying to look over her own shoulder at the mirror while she zipped the form fitting number up the back.
The dress was sown right sexy, with strategically cut out bit around her hips and rib cage that showed off enough skin to keep men wanted more. She had only ever worn it one before and she couldn't remember the exact occasion. Stepping into a pair of strapped, glittering red high heels, Raelynn bit her lip and posed in front of the mirror. Yep. This would do. Cleavage and sex appeal, check. Cute, beach waves? Check. Now all she needed was a jacket to get her to Ryan's place. Digging into the back of her closet where she kept all of her coats, Raelynn gasped when she found the blue sleeve of a Captain America letter jacket.
She tugged at the hanger until it fell to the floor of the closet. Slipping her arms into the sleeve carefully, Raelynn pulled the jacket over her shoulders and looked in the mirror, feeling strange. Here she was, getting ready to go ask Ryan to be her boyfriend, and somehow Gemini was standing in her way again, making her heart flutter. She reached out and touched the mirror where the reflection of the jacket was, hugging it close to her body as she remember going back to make sure the jacket was in her room, and not left in the hallway where she and Gemini had abandoned the last time he was here. As far as Ryan knew, she already owned this jacket, right? There was no way Gem had mentioned that he bought it for her, right? Would it be weird to wear it? It didn't matter what the answer to that question was, because Raelynn was already stepping into the hallway of Page Hall before it came to mind.

Gemini pulled open the main doors to Page Hall and shivered. It had been stupid for him to think that the think red henley long sleeved shirt would keep him warm enough. Despite the weather that was quickly warming up it was still jacket worthy.For a second his skin tingled from the temperature change as he stepped into the warmth of Page Hall. Heading up toward the second floor he bobbed his head to the beat of music that played through the headphones covering his ears. The jade necklace that his mom had given him while he was home for the holidays bounced against his chest with each step and the heavy sound of his boots on the stairs echoed off the walls, not that he could hear it. He was in the process of staring at his phone as he made it to the second floor hallway. He continued to shift through the songs not bothering to look up until he caught a red and blue figure out of the corner of his eye. Woah. He quickly stepped to side and around them with an unnatural grace though narrowly avoiding the person. Sorry.. He said pulling the headphones off his head letting them rest around his neck as he spun around on his heel to face the person he had almost bumped into. Raelynn pressed herself against the wall and bit her lip. Great, this is exactly what she needed. For some reason, she always tried to convince herself of the fact that Ryan was the one for her. That it should be Ryan, and not Gemini. But then Gemini comes out of no where and sweeps her off her feet...AGAIN. His voice whispering her name made her heart melt in an instant, like it had been covered in ice for ages and she was just remembering how to live, "Gemini." She pulled the jacket he had given her closer to her body and suddenly felt so silly for wearing it.

Raelynn stopped at the stairs, completely furious. Sure, she was being unreasonable. And you know what, at some point in the next hour or so she may realize that, but right now she spun around and stalked toward Gemini like a vampire about to kill someone, "You...." Her words wouldn't form through the anger. After grabbing at them for a moment, she finally said, "Space? Was that what it seemed like I wanted after I tried to sleep with you?" She asked, "Or when I told you I loved you?" Raelynn made sure to keep her voice down so as not to disturb other dormmates, "OOh, my bad. Expressing my feelings was ACTUALLY me pushing you away. You're right."
