Gemini watched Raelynn closely as She moved toward him. If She was going to try and burn him alive he wanted to know so he could at least attempt to move out of the way. It wasn't about what you wanted it's about what you needed and sleeping with me especially an hour after you were stabbed. I know you all think I'm so horribly sleazy but hell even I've got limits. Gemini groaned please do not get me started on that love crap again. One simple normal interaction. That's all he was asking for. He looked at her like it was the most obvious thing in the world Exactly! Plus joining the 'I hate Gemini' fan club while I'm trying to deal with losing my best friend because I'm an idiot. Not the way to my heart, Just sayin' He snapped in a harsh whisper. He threw his hands up in the air, completely annoyed at this point Whatever. He stepped around Raelynn, heading toward the stairs. He'd just text Dani and have her come find him.

By the time Gemini was done with his rant, Raelynn was having a hard time holding back the tears, and when he pushed past her to leave, they fell from her eyes freely. She spun around and followed after him, pressed both of her hands hard against his back and pushing him towards the stairs. Unfortunately, she lost her footing and tripping, slipping on the tile floor and falling toward the staircase she had pushed Gemini towards.

Gemini felt the pressure of Raelynn's hands against as she shoved him,he stumbled forward a bit but just barely. Seriously? This girl was going to give his patience a run for it's money. Are you kidding me? He snapped. He was in the process of turning around his green eyes dark with anger when he saw her falling toward the stairs. In a quick movement he reached out hooking his arm around her waist and pulled her back against him.There was still a look of anger on his face First of all, instant karma. Second, Can't you be more careful? Get a damn service dog or a life alert. It's not that hard. He quickly let his arm drop from around her. He didn't need that ending up around school.

Raelynn stood perfect still with her back to Gemini as she stared at the landing between the first and second floor. She couldn't break her eyes away from it, thinking maybe it would be easier for her to run away. Maybe she should. She wouldn't have to hear about it, because she would be gone. She wouldn't have to see him anymore. She wouldn't be confused. Vegas was sounding awesome. Shaking, Raelynn let out a strangled sob and pushed him out of the way so she could try and get back in too her room. Whether she would leave for ever, or just for a little while, she needed to get out of Calloway, "I have to go. I have to get out of here." She stopped at her door and looked at him, blue eyes stained with fat tears, "Maybe running is exactly the best answer." She said sadly, fumbling with the keys to try and get her door open.

I don't know. I was told running away was a problem. He said dryly. Gemini was still annoyed and his face showed it when she turned and looked at him. He mentally groaned when he saw the tears. He had dealt with plenty of crying girls over the years and it usually didn't phase him. He'd even had to keep himself from laughing a time or two but it seemed there were at least two girls that could make him feel like a jerk when they cried. Maybe he was just a sucker for weepy blue eyes. He sighed Do you need help with that? He asked nodding his head toward the door where she was fumbling with her keys.

Jerking her hands away, Raelynn shouted, "No!" Louder than she meant to. She moved her hands away so hard, the keys flew out of her hand and skidded across the floor, stopping in front of room 205. Dani's room. Instant Karma is right. She sighed and looked at Gemini, her tears still streaming silently, "I can't keep doing this Gemini." She said in a sharp and cold voice, "I will never completely get over this 'fickle' feeling I am having unless I never see you again." Getting into the room seemed silly now. Raelynn decided she could just leave and send for her things, "I hate that you call me fickle. I hate that I see you everywhere. I hate that I never know where I stand with my own heart. I hate..." She looked down at her own hands and shook her head, "...You know what? I can't. I just can't."

Gemini watched the keys slide across the tile floor landing right in front of Dani's room. He groaned hoping not for the first time since arriving in the hallway that Dani wasn't in her room. Keep doing what Raelynn? He snapped I try to be civil with you, all the time He rubbed the back of his neck as she continued talking Here we go with the feelings He shrugged not sure what to say, he didn't exactly want her to go but every interaction they had anymore was a chaotic mess. His thoughtss were going off like rapid fire and he was starting to have that suffocating overwhelming feeling that made him want to run away. He opened his mouth to say something but he couldn't seem to formulate the right words. He huffed frustrated with himself more than her For the record, I think it's dumb. Your sister is coming back and you've already lived without her in your life longer than you really ever should have, and I think you're better than just running away but hey If that's what you want? Then don't see me ever again. We can start now. He said bitterly heading toward the stairs.

Raelynn stood silently in the hallway, looking at him as he walked away, "Why couldn't you just..." She started, but thought better of that question. Why couldn't he just choose her? Did she really want to know the answer? No. Definitely she didn't, "I didn't want any of this to happen, you know." She said sadly.

He'd reached the edge of the stairs and he had told himself he'd keep going. He should have put his head phone's back on and blasted the music as loud as it could go so he couldn't hear her anymore. Oh Well, Shoulda Coulda Woulda. He glanced over his shoulder heaving and tired sigh And You think I did? He turned around to face her. He pursed his lip together and he inhaled as he prepared to say something I'm going to say this once. I'm sorry, alright? I'm sorry that somehow in this mess you got hurt. It was never my intention to hurt you, ever.

It meant something. She didn't know how much it was going to mean until this moment. She stood, her tears slowing as she listened to his apology. The moment the words fell from his mouth, she was in pain. Not because an apology is painful, but because it made whatever progress she had made towards Ryan seem irrelevant, "I know." She said, moving her fingers to comb them through her hair and wipe away the tears still lingering on her swollen face. She walked toward him slowly and, without asking or warning, wrapped her arms around his waist and hugged him, "A little bit of me will always love you, Gem." She mumbled into his shirt.

At first unsure of what to do he let his arms hang lazily at his sides when her arms moved around his waist. He wrapped an arm around her shoulder squeezing her against his chest as he hugged her back. He sucked in a breath quietly when she dropped the 'L word' but they'd been arguing and he was tired and over it and decided not to push it. It's weird when you call me Gem. He mumbled. He'd come to notice Raelynn usually used his actual name, so hearing her call him by his usual nickname seemed odd. He leaned back slightly so he could see her face You shouldn't cry so much. You're messing up your make up for whoever you decided to get all dressed up for. He said giving her his usual goofy smile.

A part of her was happy he didn't dwell on her words. She pulled away and rubbed at her face, laughing through the last few tears that slid down her face, "It is isn't it? Just doesn't sound right." Raelynn giggled as she whipped out her phone to try and fix her face. He was right the make-up looked awful. Her heart sank a little as he mentioned that she had gotten dresses up for something. That's right..., "It was just for fun..." She lied easily, not sure it would be fair to anyone, especially Ryan, for her to follow through with her original plan.

He shook his head Not really, at least not out of your mouth. He shrugged. It's okay though it just makes you special. I think the only other person who consistently uses my actual name is my dad. The thought amused him since if there was anyone who hated his name most it was probably Jasper. He eyed her skeptically Yeah Sure... For fun. Nobody puts on a dress like that just for fun. At least not that kind He said sarcastically. Wait-He mumbled catching a small smear of make-up on her cheek. He brought his thumb up and rubbed it away gently There. Perfect.

Raelynn smiled slightly, feeling better but still not feeling great. His close proximity still made her heart beat too loudly and when he touched her....when let's just say Raelynn may need some retail therapy, "Thanks." She said quietly. The air grew heavy around her as she searched for something to say, some reason why she was leaving dress to the nines, but she had nothing. Instead, she tried awkward small talk, "Weird how we keep running into each other like this." She brought up.

He raised an eyebrow at her an amused smile on his lips as he noticed her skip over the comment about the dress. He wasn't sure where Raelynn and Ryan stood in their relationship, he and Ryan didn't usually discuss their relationships or lack there of when they were together. Yeah except this time, I literally almost ran into you. The look on his face was still amused That's almost as bad as Hey, Do you come here often? He asked leaning against the wall in a very cliche' cool guy way. Despite the cool February air outside the hallway was warm and he shoved the sleeves of his red henley up to his elbows. It was then that he realized they were both wearing red We match...
