[attr="class","Rbg"] [attr="class","Rbg-img"] [attr="class","Rinner"] We've been falling for all this time, and now I'm lost in paradise
The bar at the old faithful resort was filled as always. Tourist coming to have a good time, enjoy the national park. The girl sat at the end of the bar alone. She had been approached by a couple of people, drunks, wondering if they could join her but none seemed like the right sort. She was very picky after the whole New York thing. They had to really try now to get her attention. It wasn't like it used to be where she was just timid and didn't know what to do, now she had standards. Raven still wasn't quite a hundred percent better but what was the harm of a couple drinks and being surrounded by strangers, ignorant strangers just looking to have fun.
As bored as she was, Raven didn't really want to seek out any friends from school. It wasn't that she didn't like hanging out with them, it was just things felt different now. Well she felt different, and wasn't sure how to express that to her friends. Sure she knew they wouldn't care, but Raven was still trying to figure things out herself. Always trying to deal with things on her own. It was rough sometimes but she was used to it. She took a sip of her drink as she scanned the room seeing if there was anyone worth talking with.

There are many different kinds of telumkinesis, apparently. Braxton's particular brand is the more powerful of them, allowing him to conjure anything to be used as a weapon. There are a few snags in this awesome power, the most annoying of which being the five foot rule. Anything he conjures can't leave a five foot radius from him.
Drops his sword? Poof, gone.
Bow and arrow? Only if you want to hit them with it.
Stapler? Sure why not, but don't expect those staplers to be useful once you leave the papers on the desk.
Another flaw int he power is that he must conjure the item with the intent of using it as a weapon. Whether it be to hit a dummy, or attack a person, Braxton's power won't work if he just wants to conjure a ruler for giggles. He has to have the intention of smack someone or something with it. The way he gets around this is very Hulk like. He just decided that if he is always angry, he will always want to beat something up and then conjuring stuff is no big deal.

CREATED BY RYN ★ [attr="class","woot"] i'll tell you all about it The bar was weirdly dark and musky, which is not what he was expecting from a high end resort. It was full of people waiting on what Braxton assumed was the geyser. It was lite with what looked like spot lights and from the windows he could see the crowded gathering around the base, sitting on long wooden benches that made a strange semi-circle around the gaping hole in the ground. Taking a seat at the bar, he got his Shiner and leaded back in the stool, glancing at the girl next to him as he took a long sip. She had dark hair and looked like she must have been....what?....twelve? Fake ID. Definitely a fake ID. Not that he could really judge since he slid his own back into his wallet carefully. He wasn't one to start conversations with strangers he didn't care about, but everyone else in the bar was giggling and talking about something over the cheesy jazz music that hung in the air so he finally grunted, "Hey." To the younger girl sitting next to him. She wasn't really paying much attention to the person who took a seat next to her. She was on her second cocktail ignoring the music. Not that she didn't like jazz it was just not fitting with her mood. She was tempted to just leave and go find somewhere else more upbeat. That was until the guy greeted her. It seemed forced and nothing like the other guys who had approached her earlier. "Don't forced yourself" She sneered. Raven took another sip of her drink then turned to look at the guy. "Sorry that was rude. Hi how are you" She had a sweet innocent smile, here bright blue eyes showed the mischief that her voice did not. Faking a smile and hiding her voice came almost too naturally to her. But she didn't mind having a conversation with the guy. Not like he was bad looking.

Raven rolled her eyes slightly. What was with this guy? Sure it would be the smart thing to just leave and just not worry about it. At least that is what she would have done. Not anymore. She was starting to come out of her shell more which was a good thing. Just odd but Raven figured she would just roll with it. "Raven" She replied studding his hand before shaking it to be polite. She took another sip of her drink and she kept an eye on the guy called Braxton. She didn't know what to make of him. It was kind of aggravating. She wondered if she should say anything else. "So what brings you here?" She asked starting up a simple conversation.

Best bar in Yellowstone? Well that is something she could believe would be said on the internet. "More like only decent bar, the one in Calloway at least has better music" She commented. Raven wondered why she didn't just go there. Then again there was a larger chance of running into people she knew and that would defeat the whole idea of the outing. He didn't seem like the talkative type, or more so he just didn't care. She was silent for a little while wondering what to say or even if she should bother. She finished her drink and the bartender asked if she wanted another. Raven shook her head asking for some water and the check. She didn't mind drinking but she never liked to overdo it. The exception being her little trip. But that was more acceptable. Not like she was driving either.

CREATED BY RYN ★ [attr="class","woot"] i'll tell you all about it He took the opportunity of obligatory silence to look around. The bar was rustic and simple at first glance, but the more you looked around the more you understood how completely expensive the whole place seemed. There were nice wooden stools with backs all the way along the bar, many table littered across the room placed strategically so the people sitting at them would have an easy view of Old Faithful. It wasn't hard to see how much effort and thought was put into the bar and he started to understand why it was ranked so highly. For people who drank often, to be a regular here seemed comfortable enough, and for people just visiting, it had all the ear marks of a tourist hot spot, "I haven't been in Calloway long enough to know." He said blandly, drinking more of his Shiner Bock. The bar was nice in its set up but Raven had been to so many different places that this didn't really match those. Maybe she was just being too critical. She was sitting there after all, the place had to be something. Raven gave the bartender her card and he returned quickly for her to sign. She signed her name as graceful as always before putting her card away and returning back to her drink. "A student or just visiting" She asked. If he was at Calloway it could be a number of thing but if he was a student she might end up running into Braxton more. Raven wasn't sure if she liked that idea. She still had yet to form an opinion of the guy. So far it wasn't all good. But she always gave people a chance, that was never going to change.

HER POWER TO TALK WITH ANIMALS IS MORE OF THE ABILITY TO UNDERSTAND THEM. ANIMALS SEEMS TO UNDERSTAND HUMAN SPEECH AND HER MIND CAN TRANSLATE ANIMAL SPEECH TO SOMETHING SHE CAN UNDERSTAND. IT JUST HAPPENS AUTOMATICALLY AND SHE CAN'T EXACTLY CUT IT OFF BUT JUST LIKE TALKING WITH A PERSON SHE HAS TO BE WITHIN EARSHOT TO UNDERSTAND THE CREATURES. SHE CAN GET VERY CONFUSED ON WHO SHE IS TALKING WITH OR WHERE A CONVERSATION IS COMING FROM IF SHE HAPPENS TO BE IN EARSHOT OF SOME ANIMAL.
CONTROLLING IS A BIT DIFFERENT. IT ISN'T A SPOKEN COMMAND IT IS MORE OF A MENTAL ONE. IT TAKES TOTAL CONCENTRATION AND SHE CAN'T CONTROL AN ANIMAL FOR MORE THAN AN HOUR, NOT THAT SHE WANTS TO. ANY LONGER AND IT CAUSES MASSIVE HEADACHES, NOSE BLEEDS AND IN SOME CASES SHE WILL PASS OUT BUT THAT DOESN'T HAPPEN TILL THE TWO HOUR MARK. THE SIMPLER THE COMMAND THE EASIER IT IS TO CONTROL THE ANIMALS. RAVEN PREFERS TO JUST ASK THE ANIMAL IF THEY ARE WILLING TO DO SOMETHING RATHER THAN CONTROL THEM. IF HER CONCENTRATION IS BROKEN SHE LOOSES CONTROL.

Just talking really wasn't that big of a deal. She liked to get to know new people. So another student. She wondered what his ability was though she wasn't going to ask, not here at least. "You would assume correctly" She stated. "Well I don't know about you, but I have grown tiered of this place" She stated as she stood and put her coat on and grabbed her purse. She figured she would go outside for some air. Old faithful was scheduled to erupt soon and she figured it would look cool in the evening. "I'm going to check out the geyser. You are welcomed to join me if you would like to continue this conversation" She figured it was better than being rude. She didn't really care either way.

[attr="class","flip-container"] | [attr="class","flip-container"] [attr="class","flipper"] [attr="class","back"] It would be very unlike Braxton to pull away from the bar and follow the girl. She was basically a stranger, and although he had no fear of being hurt by her, he still didn't care enough about her to want to follow after her. Raising his eyebrows, Braxton shrugged. He had ever seen the geyser before. Maybe it was worth checking out. It definitely didn't have anything to do with this random chick. With two fresh beers on tow, Braxton hopped off the bar stool and started toward the door without a word.
When he finally made it out to the geyser, Braxton sat on an empty bench on the closest side of the geyser. The wood was old and rough and he was sure there would be splinters in his jeans later, "I heard this thing is a huge disappointment." His voice reflecting his mild disinterest in the supposedly remarkable natural wonder. |

She didn't bother to see if he had followed. She was half listening to the animal conversations that were going on around her. Raven took a seat on one of the benches as she wrapped the coat around her looking out to where Old Faithful was. She had just heard what he had said when the guy took a seat. "I wasn't all to impressed by it but here's hoping that it looks cooler at night" She half whispered as if saying something too loud would break the peaceful night. She loved the crisp evening air, the sounds and what she could see of the stars. It was very relaxing. She wasn't really sure what else to say to Braxton, he was a stranger after all.

[attr="class","flip-container"] | [attr="class","flip-container"] [attr="class","flipper"] [attr="class","back"] This chick wasn't very talkative. Which didn't bother him but it also made it nearly impossible to get a read on her. She looked like was listening to someone talk even though the night was silent and kind of eerie. A chilly wind whipped across the flat expanse of the viewing platform for the geyser as the minutes ticked closer to the moment it as meant to go off, "I assume the thing that is amazing about it is the fact that they can time it. Something natural that actually sticks to park schedules." |

Raven shrugged. "That could be it. People liked to control whatever they can in their own way. The ability to perceive that some natural phenomenon is under their control is appealing I guess" She didn't realize that she sounded a lot like one of her books. It didn't really bother her though. She never liked the idea of trying to control nature. Controlling something or someone else just seemed wrong. Which is why she almost never used that ability of hers. Talking with the animals was one thing, controlling them just seemed wrong when asking yielded the same results, or at least similar ones. She became slightly distracted by an owl calling slightly off in the distance calling to a friend. Something about a good hunt.
