There are many different kinds of telumkinesis, apparently. Braxton's particular brand is the more powerful of them, allowing him to conjure anything to be used as a weapon. There are a few snags in this awesome power, the most annoying of which being the five foot rule. Anything he conjures can't leave a five foot radius from him.
Drops his sword? Poof, gone.
Bow and arrow? Only if you want to hit them with it.
Stapler? Sure why not, but don't expect those staplers to be useful once you leave the papers on the desk.
Another flaw int he power is that he must conjure the item with the intent of using it as a weapon. Whether it be to hit a dummy, or attack a person, Braxton's power won't work if he just wants to conjure a ruler for giggles. He has to have the intention of smack someone or something with it. The way he gets around this is very Hulk like. He just decided that if he is always angry, he will always want to beat something up and then conjuring stuff is no big deal.

[attr="class","flip-container"] | [attr="class","flip-container"] [attr="class","flipper"] [attr="class","back"] Braxton stared straight ahead, picking up on her vocabulary and making the assumption that she was probably one of those people who hid behind verbiage as a way to avoid any real, personal thought, "Pretty sure you have more faith in humanity's intelligence than I do." He said in a bored voice, "I doubt most people are that deep about it." |

HER POWER TO TALK WITH ANIMALS IS MORE OF THE ABILITY TO UNDERSTAND THEM. ANIMALS SEEMS TO UNDERSTAND HUMAN SPEECH AND HER MIND CAN TRANSLATE ANIMAL SPEECH TO SOMETHING SHE CAN UNDERSTAND. IT JUST HAPPENS AUTOMATICALLY AND SHE CAN'T EXACTLY CUT IT OFF BUT JUST LIKE TALKING WITH A PERSON SHE HAS TO BE WITHIN EARSHOT TO UNDERSTAND THE CREATURES. SHE CAN GET VERY CONFUSED ON WHO SHE IS TALKING WITH OR WHERE A CONVERSATION IS COMING FROM IF SHE HAPPENS TO BE IN EARSHOT OF SOME ANIMAL.
CONTROLLING IS A BIT DIFFERENT. IT ISN'T A SPOKEN COMMAND IT IS MORE OF A MENTAL ONE. IT TAKES TOTAL CONCENTRATION AND SHE CAN'T CONTROL AN ANIMAL FOR MORE THAN AN HOUR, NOT THAT SHE WANTS TO. ANY LONGER AND IT CAUSES MASSIVE HEADACHES, NOSE BLEEDS AND IN SOME CASES SHE WILL PASS OUT BUT THAT DOESN'T HAPPEN TILL THE TWO HOUR MARK. THE SIMPLER THE COMMAND THE EASIER IT IS TO CONTROL THE ANIMALS. RAVEN PREFERS TO JUST ASK THE ANIMAL IF THEY ARE WILLING TO DO SOMETHING RATHER THAN CONTROL THEM. IF HER CONCENTRATION IS BROKEN SHE LOOSES CONTROL.

Raven chucked at his response, leaving a small smile on her face. She still didn't know what to make of Braxton. He seemed to be very strait forward, if not a bit brash. "More like I have faith in ones nature and instincts. Intelligence is debatable" Raven turned her attention back to Old Faithful. From the looks of it the main even would be soon. There weren't too many people out, she figured since it was late and cold most preferred the bar. "I think it gets interesting when the predictions are off and nature just throws a curve ball as if laughing at humanity's ignorance" Nature itself was an incredible thing.

[attr="class","flip-container"] | [attr="class","flip-container"] [attr="class","flipper"] [attr="class","back"] Shrugging like he didn't care, Braxton sighed as the geyser went off, shooting water barely five feet off the ground at first, but eventually reaching as high as twenty feet. The hot water steamed in the cool late fall air. The white fog-like heat washed over them as it billowed across the ground, leaving a blanket of warmth around anyone near the geyser. The spot lights from the platform they sat on lit the water like any light does. Braxton had been right, "How completely unremarkable." He said in a flat voice. |

Watching the geyser wasn't as thrilling as she had hoped. The warm spray was somewhat nice but at the same time it just made the air seem cooler afterwords. She leaned back looking up at the sky. "Stars are still a better sight" She stated agreeing that the geyser wasn't as satisfying. Maybe because it was too hyped making the person expect too much for it. She wasn't overly impressed the first time she saw it either. Maybe it was because she was comparing it to other geysers she had seen on her many trips.

[attr="class","flip-container"] | [attr="class","flip-container"] [attr="class","flipper"] [attr="class","back"] As if prompted by her random statement, Braxton glanced up. They were impressive, and some deep part of him that cared about weird crap like that thought they were pretty, but his mind was a little preoccupied with everything that was going on in his life at the moment. His sister had been on some crazy spectrum of stupid happy to impressively depressed since she had arrived, "Do you know Octavia Wyatt?" He asked suddenly, wondering if maybe this girl had met his sister in the few short days she had been at Calloway. |

She sat up when he asked her the question about Octavia. She wondered how he knew her. Maybe family or a friend or something. The more she thought about it the more she thought they did have some similarities. "Yes she is my roommate in fact" She said with a chipper tone. She wanted to ask why he was wondering but figured that might not be the best thing to ask about. "She is a very fun, energetic person. Always speaking her mind" Raven chuckled. Her new roommate was quite interesting.

Braxton nodded slowly in agreement, thinking to himself about his sister. She was definitely worth worrying about all giggles and loopiness one second and dark depression the next. He wondered if Raven had picked up on that or if she really had only seen the loopy excited part of Octavia. Not that it mattered much, "That she is." He nodded.
