His ability works best through contact. He can negate others abilities if they are within three yards of him but it doesn't last very long and it takes more energy to do that. It is almost like a negating field. However if he is in contact with that person their powers are useless if he chooses. He can turn the power on and off at will. He can keep this up for a few hours. Granted he has to be touching the person. It does take energy to use the ability so if he is tiered or run down it doesn't work as well and sometimes not at all. If he uses it too long it can cause severe headaches and make him sick.

I've got to make a stand, but
I am Just a Man My voice will be heard today | Hanging out in the Lounge of his dorm building wasn't the guys idea of fun but it was the middle of the week and Rich was finishing up some work. His school stuff was easy to knock out, the classes weren't really hard at all. He was just now doing family work. It never seemed to end but he didn't mind. If taking over meant being busy often he was willing to do it. Taking over the family's multiple businesses was really what he wanted for his future. Family tradition. As silly as it was he liked to uphold some traditions.
He had been stalking the calloway chat recently mainly because it was his only real access to everything happening at the campus and every now and then he would find someone interesting to talk to or even get a chance to speak with his sister. Though recently the chat had be very interesting because he learned a very nice tidbit of information. His best mate was now attending the school. It was the best news he had heard in a while and was ecstatic to finally have a friend, well a real friend in the small town. He wasn't sure which dorm Virg was in but would find out soon enough. He was finishing up before texting his friend to meet up. |

Unfortunately the side affects are headache's, nosebleeds, nightmares and depending on who's powers he's changing the side affects of the powers sometimes fall onto him. If he's been near a pyrokinetic he feels way to hot for the next few hours. Augmention is also helpful in training to give the trainers and students an idea of what the student is capable of with full control. He's usually wearing some sort of device created by his father though so it's not to say his power is always working.

 Virgil had made fast work of finding his way around the school, the dorms and the training room that contained a lot of his Dad's work. If he was being honest he loved to see his Father life work, his legacy in action helping to train the SPB's to be greater. He hadn't yet helped but word of his powers would spread and then he might end up in one of the training rooms himself, or he could say he had no off switch for his powers and it would have the same affect. He had an artificial off switch for now in the form of a Negation Device that looked like a watch, it was a new model his Dad was working on for those who wanted to stop their powers for a short time. It was good but still needed a lot of work and Virgil was always a willing guinea pig, he'd also tinker with the stuff and he'll his father fix any problems
He received Richard's not long after returning to his own dorm for a while, he shot his friend a quick reply to let him know he was in his dorm room, before deciding he needed a shower. He got showered and dressed, running a hand through his hair to make it look neat. He made sure Rich new the dorm and the room Number, his roommate Gemini wasn't about either so meeting Rich there was great. Plus it meant he didn't have to walk anywhere, once showered and dressed in boxers and socks he flopped down on his bed waiting for his friend.

I am Just a Man My voice will be heard today | Looking down at his phone Rich saw the text and immediately stood up to head to his friends dorm. It wasn't hard for Rich to find the building or the room. He had the whole layout of Ashford memorized now. Figuring it would com in handy for whatever reason. He did like the idea of a room to himself. It gave him more freedoms not having to worry about a roommate. Including late night guest. Just because it was a small town he wasn't going to hold off on his playboy ventures. He wouldn't exactly call himself a whore, he was a bit more classy than that. And if he ever did find the right guy or gal he wouldn't keep getting with other people.
He didn't even bother to knock when he walked into the room. He looked his best friend up and down grinning. "Hey hot stuff. Miss Me?" He teased. That right there was beauty of their relationship. He didn't know what he would do without Virg. Maybe really become just like his father. He shivered at the very idea. |

As Virgil guessed it didn't take long for hid friend to turn up, he wasn't bothered by the fact that Rich didn't knock, ir. His roomate might have if he were there but Vigil decided not to worry about it until Rich actually barged in on his roomate. "Rich you sexy thing! Of course I missed you!!" Virgil laughed as he stood up. He hugged his friend in greeting having no problem with embracing his friend despite being pretty much naked. "It's been to long, but I'm glad I'm here now. It's also good to see you in person and not just head your voice from afar." Virgil rambled. He was really happy to see his best friend, when you practically grew up together and where pretty much brothers distance was tough and Virgil had been missing Rich very much.
He let Rich out of the embrace and flopped back down on his bed with a smile. "So what's new buddy? Have you got a girlfriend yet? Boyfriend? " Virgil definitely had a motor mouth and once he started he didn't stop. He knew Rich wouldn't mind, he was used to it.

I am Just a Man My voice will be heard today | "I've missed you too man" Rich stated as he hugged Virg back. He was used to his friends ramblings. They really were just like brothers. Sure their parents set it up to work that way but Rich always believed that his friendship with Virg had nothing to do with that. They could have ended up hating each other because they were forced to be together. "Oh you smell good" Rich teased as Virg hugged him. Their friendship really didn't have too many boundaries.
Rich pulled up one of the chairs and turned it around so he could lean on the back as he straddled the seat. "Nah not at the moment. Really just been working and trying to reconnect with my sister. It has been kind of dull without my best mate stirring up some trouble" Rich gave a sly grin at the last part. Sure he was fully capable of having fun on his own but Virg made everything more interesting. |

Virgil was excited to have his friend back, Richard was the closest thing he had to a sibling and following his best friend out here was the best thing he could've done. Their parents had wanted them to be friends, his parents thought Richard was a great influence on him and were glad when the boys got on so well rather than wanting to kill each other. "Why thank-you, I scrubbed up just for you." Virgil teased back. It was true there were practically no boundaries between the boys but Virgil guessed that was just the result of growing up together.
Virgil nodded as Rich explained what had been happening in his life, he knew that Rich felt bad about what happened to Raven and wanted to reconnect. "I take it that's not going to well." Virgil said, from his friends comments on the school chat that was indeed the case. "Well I'm here now and Calloway definitely ain't ready for the gruesome twosome." Virgil idea of fun usually had every parent pulling out their hair, if it didn't explode, make him drunk or high, wasn't risky or wasn't female then it wasn't fun.

Sure there were reasons behind how they acted but he wasn't going to have anymore of the drama. Which is why he really wanted to set things strait with is sister. "That is a serious understatement. But I can't really blame her" He really could blame her and never did expect her to forgive him so quickly. Though he did hope it would end up that way.
Rich laughed at the comment of the gruesome twosome. "Calloway hasn't seen anything yet. They had no idea what they were signing up for when they allowed both of us to attend the school" There was a mischievous look in Rich's eyes. He was itching to do something fun. And knowing Virg it was never something small. |

Virgil wasn't sure why Rich's family had treated Raven like that, but he himself was an only child and a miracle child at that so he wasn't even sure how siblings were supposed to be treated but he was pretty sure it wasn't like that. However although Virgil didn't know Raven all that well, he was certain that she would eventually forgive Rich, for the simple reason that he was her brother. "She'll come around eventually. It's in the sibling hand book." Virgil responded waving his hand as if waving it off, there wasn't a sibling hand book and even there was he was an only child. He would help Rich bring Raven round though if he needed to, but it was a matter for a later date. He hadn't yet seen or heard from Rich's sister since his arrival but with the siblings being as disconnected as they are it didn't surprise him.
Virgil spent a lot of time doing crazy things that he considered fun and Rich was meant to be the voice of reason but usually he ended up roped into one of Virgil's brilliant plans and enjoyed it. Usually they were spontaneous and did occur at stupid hours of the morning, "I guess hanging out here isn't much fun. Let's go see what Calloway has to offer for a nightlife." Virgil said, Rich always enjoyed a drink and what better way to catch up than over a pint or two.

He wasn't sure if he should be concerned or just brush off the weird feeling in the pit of his stomach. Rich pushed his worries aside and focused on the moment. Going anywhere with Virg was usually an adventure. Sure he was the more responsible one but that really wasn't saying much considering how crazy his friend was.
"Sounds like a plan. Though you might want to put some clothes on. I mean we could find a place that will take you in looking that that" Rich joked. Going out to see what Calloway had to offer with his best friend just might be what he needed. Rich could never deny getting a drink or two. Or just drinking in general. No one could say he didn't like to have fun. |

Virgil smiled at Rich again, his best friend was here and that left him smiling it had been far to long. Raven's wearabouts would soon be found out and Virgil would make an effort to go see her, he'd always liked Raven even if her mother didn't like her talking to him. It didn't stop him unless he felt it was causing a problem for Raven or Rich. Virgil loved going out with Rich even as kids, Rich's parents would rather have had them stay at their place because they inevitably got into trouble even Rich who was normally very responsible.
"Wait you mean I can't go out like this!?" Virgil said with mock surprise as if the concept of wearing clothes out in public was new to him. "Bummer for you and everyone else." Virgil joked with a wink at Rich before getting up to put some clothes on. Rich was right after all, he really should put clothes on. It didn't take him long to find clothes and put them on before running a hand through his hair again. He quickly went into the bathroom to put his contacts in. "Tadah!" he said stepping out the bathroom rather dramatically. "Let us go off into the night!"

The ability to just say whatever and not worry about saying something wrong was great. He was finally able to loosen up. He stood up and put the chair back as he waited for Virg to get ready. He grinned when Virg did his dramatic pose when leaving the bathroom. "You look fabulous" He exaggerated the fabulous part.
"So there is this bar in town that sometimes has live music. Maybe we should start there" Who knew maybe the blond would be singing. What was her name again. Rae? She was Becca's twin and he had heard her sing before. She did have talent, he would give her that. |

"That's a little selfish of you." Virgil and Rich had been friends for so long that nothing they said to each other would offend the other one. They had insulted, teased an terrorized each other so much over the past twenty years that it took a lot for the two to get mad at each other, unless they are drunk then they could possibly start arguing over something daft. Usually started by Virgil himself. "Why thank you." Virgil said batting his eyelids mockingly.
"Yes let's start there." Virgil said picking up his keys that were on the dresser. Virgil loved live music and it sounded like the most fun he'd had in ages "I'll drive but promise me you'll make sure I call a cab. I don't plan on being sober enough to drive back."

If they did both were usually drunk and it was something supercilious. That and they would get over it fairly quickly. With twenty years of friendship, Rich didn't really see anything coming in between that. Which was something he liked. With all his family responsibilities and power it was good to have a friend that was really a friend.
"Yeah no worries man. Wouldn't want to ruin that pretty face or the car" He was half joking. Rich was very strict on the whole no driving drunk. If he was going out he usually would have a driver take him. That wasn't exactly a luxury he could have here but there was still the taxis.

"I know it would a shame to damage my beautiful face." Virgil said as he gathered his wallet, the Negation-Watch and his phone. He knew his friend wouldn't let him drive any car drunk, Rich was strictly no drink driving type of person. Although he wouldn't drink drive himself, he was crazy and reckless most times but he definitely wasn't suicidal and he was certain that if he did get caught drink driving his father would kill him and probably Rich too.
"You coming gorgeous." Virgil asked as left the dorm and made his way to his car. His car was one of his most prized possessions, a gift from his parents on his eighteenth birthday. He never admit it but he was rather spoiled being his parents miracle child and all.

I am Just a Man My voice will be heard today | "Yes handsome" Rich said as he rolled his eyes. He followed his friend to the car. The one vehicle he owned that he absolutely adored was his bike but he knew how Virg felt about motorbikes. That being said he made a point not to offer him a ride in one. Which didn't bother him. Not in the least bit.
Rich was quiet during the car ride. He was finishing up some work on the tablet before a night of drinking. It really didn't take long to get to the bar. He got out of the car and walked in talking a seat at the bar itself near the corner to have a good look at the stage and the rest of the bar. No harm in sight seeing while drinking. "So. What is new man. It has been too long" He asked Virg.
