POWER AUGMENTATION |
Virgil's power means he can strengthen or weaken anyone's power. He doesn't have to touch them but has to fairly close to them for it work. Also it doesn't have an off switch so if he's stood next to you, your powers might either be weaker or unbelievably strong. Unfortunately the side affects are headache's, nosebleeds, nightmares and depending on who's powers he's changing the side affects of the powers sometimes fall onto him. If he's been near a pyrokinetic he feels way to hot for the next few hours. Augmention is also helpful in training to give the trainers and students an idea of what the student is capable of with full control. He's usually wearing some sort of device created by his father though so it's not to say his power is always working.

 Virgil smiled as he got into the drivers seat of his beloved set of wheels. While he knew Rich loved motorbikes, Virgil thought of them as death trap, even just a normal bicycle Virg was uncomfortable with. It just didn't seem right to only have four wheels when you could have two, although Virgil was horribly clumsy on his own two feet never mind trying to balance anything with only two wheels. He was forever tripping, dropping things and bumping his head.
Virgil drove to the bar while Rich told him where to go, it was great to have his friend back in the passenger seat after so long. Virgil followed Rich into the place and sat down on a bar stool next to his friend, spinning it all the way round before it came to a stop so he was facing Rich. He liked the spot his friend had chosen it was great for spotting girls and boys if you were Rich. "It has been way to long!" Virgil replied, he had missed Rich and spending time with his best buddy. "Not a lot, just work basically. We are working on a new Negation Device. What about you? "

His ability works best through contact. He can negate others abilities if they are within three yards of him but it doesn't last very long and it takes more energy to do that. I am Just a Man My voice will be heard today | For Rich it really had been all to long since he had seen his best friend. "That is really cool. If I remember the plans it is going to be more discrete so people can wear them anywhere" Once Rich learned of his abilities his father fully immersed him into the whole SPB part of the business. It was a lot to learn in such a little time but he took the task head on.
What was up? "Same stuff really. Were are in the middle of another expansion at the moment. We are hoping to get another research lab out of it. I think it is going to be located near the school if i'm not mistaken" Rich went on about work. It was all he was summered into at the moment. "Let me not boor you with business. Nothing much has really been going on. It is very boring without my man string up something" Rich grinned. He ordered a beer from the bartender and listened to what was playing.

Virgil nodded, "That is indeed the plan, unfortunately the prototypes we've made kind blew up." Virgil said making an explosion sound and a explosion like gesture with his hands. He loved working for his Dad but things at the Armatige and Son labs often exploded usually because Virgil was bored but not on that occasion.
Virgil nodded as Rich explained what was up at his own place of work, Virgil's parents and Rich's parents were all closely involved in each others business so for the boys to talk business a little was common. Virgil laughed at Rich saying he didn't want to bore him, "Yes, let's not talk about work anymore tonight." Virgil laughed, "Because all work and no play makes Virgil and Rich dull boys." he added. It seemed his friend knew him too well and that he'd soon stir up some trouble in this small sleepy town. "Well I'm here now and ready for some fun." Virg said with a smile, he ordered himself a beer as well, he never went straight to hard liquor.

I am Just a Man My voice will be heard today | Rich laughed at Virg's reference. It wasn't long before the bar tender came back with their orders. Rich took a large swig of his drink. "Alright so master of fun. What do you propose?" He teased. Rich didn't really know what someone could do for fun in the small town. It was much easier to figure it out in the city. There were clubs and bars, not to mention concerts and just everything. Here there was very little to do, or really get into trouble. But he knew Virg would figure something out.
He looked around the bar as he drank wondering what Virg would come up with. |

Virgil grabbed his own beer taking a big drink of it. Virgil did a quick glance around the place to see if the bar had anything that they could do for fun. He looked at the currently empty stage and then back to his friend as a random idea popped into his head. "How's your singing voice?" Virgil asked with a grin on his face, who didn't like a random bit of singing in front of a pretty empty bar.
He waited for Rich to respond while taking another sip of beer, he kept an eye on the bartender who'd seemed to have taken a keen interest in his friend.

I am Just a Man My voice will be heard today | Rich raised an eyebrow when Virg asked about his singing voice. Rich had no problems with preforming in front of a group and had a decent enough voice to do so. "Its not bad, what did you have in mind?" He had a sly smile wondering what shenanigans his friend was planning.
He did notice the bar tenders interest as well as a couple girls down the bar who kept glancing over. "Looks like me might just find something fun here after all" He said as he finished his drink. He waived the bartender over asking for a refill, making sure to give the guy a wink when he took the order. . |

Virgil had also spotted the girls who kept looking over, Virgil gave one of them a small wave and a smile making her giggle. "Plenty of fun here tonight." he responded to his friends comment. He also caught the wink Richard sent the bartender after ordering more drinks, Virgil made sure to get himself another beer from the guy too. "You my friend might have just pulled." Virgil said with a cheeky smile on his face as he finished the last of his beer.
Virgil looked back over at the stage, "Great, time to use it." Virgil said about Rich's singing voice before he stood up and ran up onto the stage sending a smile to the girls from earlier. "We're taking requests, what would you beautiful ladies like?" Virgil said into the microphone with a huge grin on his face.

I am Just a Man My voice will be heard today | "Don't I always" Rich replied with a coy grin. He followed his friend up to the stage perfectly alright with letting Virg take the lead here. He was curious to hear what the girls had in mind for a song. There used to be such a huge contrast between the friends. Sometimes even to the point where people were shocked at their closeness. Those contrast did fade somewhat the older they got and the closer they became but it was always funny to Rich.
He made sure to give the girls a nice smile and slight nod as well as meeting the bartenders eyes. Best part about not caring the gender was always having options. Both were very attractive so he figured it was going to be a win win scenario. |

"Your just too damn gorgeous. " Virgil said in response. He waited for the girls response glancing at his childhood friend, they were very different as kids and still were to some extent. Rich did after all have a brilliant business mind while Virgil was happy just to plod along living of his parents. He was after all 21 and still needed his mother to do laundry. Somehow though him and Rich became great friends even if it was planned that way.
It didn't surprise Virgil when the girls wanted them to sing Maroon 5's Sugar, it was a great song after all. Virgil sent them a small wave before the music started and then he started singing, he was certain Rich would join in at some point.

I am Just a Man My voice will be heard today | Sugar, it was a popular song so he half expected it to be requested. At least he knew the song otherwise this would be very embarrassing. Rich taped his foot with the beat getting into the grove of the song. He gave Virg a side smile. He did enjoy being the center of attention and having a good time. This seemed like the best of both worlds. The girls seemed to be happy and Rich could tell the bartender was trying to not make it to obvious that he was watching.
He waited till Virg was done with the first part of the song then joined in on the pre chorus.He really got into the music, this was a performance after all. He let Virg take the solo type parts since he could not sing the higher octave. |
