Ryan turned back to face her a look of concern on his face That's not normal. He finished the last bit of his sandwich and shoved his plate away. He looked up at her when she stood up Uh, I'll go with you but... Really it's not a good idea for you know me too... He made an explosion motion with his hands. Ryan had never been one to concern himself with risks, he had stolen vehicles a few times, and got himself into trouble on the daily but setting people and buildings on fire wasn't one he was willing to take. He slid out of the booth to follow her.

Shrugging, Raelynn dug her car keys out of her bag and held them out for Ryan to take, "I promised to let you drive my car." She said grinning. She climbed into the passenger seat of her '67 Camaro and snuggled into the seat, not bothering to put her seat belt on. When Ryan was in the car she told him where to go, following the narrow roads of Yellowstone National park until they were at the Grand Prismatic Lake. When he parked the car, Raelynn got out and turned to wait for him to follow, "No people or anything, see? And the ground is naturally warmer here. No trees or anything so no fear of forest fire." She sighed and spun around, holding her arms down so that her skirt didn't move in the wind so much, "It's my favorite place in the whole park."

Raelynn tilted her head to the side, "Jail?" Not that it bothered her. Mostly she was just making sure she didn't assume he was in jail if he had said something else. Clarity, ya know? Stepping forward, Raelynn held her hands up and let fire sprout from her palms and swirl around her, "Now, we play. The best way to control your power is to let it go out of control every once in a while." Flames started making intricate little designs in the sky above her head and a few licks of flame even spiral around him, not touching him, but close enough that he should be able to feel the heat, "When I first found out I had this power, I used to go to the desert and put throw fire everywhere."

Yeah, I spent a year in jail before here. His hands shoved in his pockets he looked at his feet. It hadn't been the worst time ever but it's not something he really wanted to experience again. He smirked at her as as the flames appeared, he was impressed that's for sure. He could feel the heat from some of the flames as they got close to him but they didn't bother him at all, it was oddly comforting. He shook his head That's really awesome.. He said as he watched the little fire designs.

"So what did you do?" She asked, not realizing that could be considered rude. Raelynn dropped her hands, letting the fires spiral into nothing and disappear around them, "Your turn. Let's see it." She said, crossing her arms and smiling at him expectantly. He skirt rustled in the wind and she shook her head, slipping out of her jacket and putting it on the hood of her car. Playing with fire always made things like jackets seem stupid. Her black skirt was high waisted and you could see a strip of skin between the top of it and the hem of her crop top knitted tank.

Ryan wasn't sure he even knew how to access his power it usually just showed up, usually at the worst possible time. He pulled off his leath jacket setting it next to Raelynn's on her car. There was no use in putting holes in his favorite jacket. I burned down the first mechanic's shop I worked at. It was by accident really, I got in a fight with the owner over the phone my powers showed, caught the whole place on fire. I was the only one there fortunately or unfortunately depending on how you look at it. Ryan might have not minded had his old boss been in the building if it wouldn't have turned his arson charge into a murder one. He eyes glanced over the bare skin over her stomach, he might not be girl crazy like Gemini, but he was an eighteen year old boy still and Raelynn was attractive. Alright... He wasn't sure this was a good idea at all and he took a few steps back farther away from Raelynn. He took a deep breath in, there always seemed to be a constant burning behind his rib cage one that he continuously felt like he had to keep pushed down and check because if he didn't it felt like it would get out of control and consume him, which it did. Another deep breath and he tried to let it go. There was a sense of relief of not trying to fight it anymore. His eyes glowed red for a moment before his body was engulfed in flames, no longer much of anything but fire and the silhouette of a person. At first it was easy to keep the flames pulled in around him but the longer he stood there the more tired he got and the more they started reaching out.

Raelynn nodded slowly, thinking that she was actually crazy lucky that her power didn't cause any HORRIBLE fires or anything. Except maybe that one when she was a kid. But the people at Ashford said people don't get their powers until they are older so maybe it wasn't her fault after all? She didn't know and there was no use brooding over things like that, "I'm sorry to hear that." She said, frowning when he started to back away from her.
It wasn't very long before he was completely covered in, or turned in to fire. She raised her eyebrows, stepping forward, she leaned closer to him and inspected his body, "So cool! If you skin still under there or are you fire everywhere?" Raelynn reached out and place her hand on what looks like his arm, curious to see what it felt like, "Awesome." She grinned like an excited school girl, looking up at his face.

The whole power was still bizarre t. o him, he still hadn't figured out how the whole ting worked. Only that if he didn't keep a tight hold on it it could spread and quickly. He didn't hear her words over the crackling of the flames. He panicked when he felt something touch his arm. He knew he shouldn't if there was one person who could touch him in the entire town without injury it was Raelynn. The flames surged outward for a moment which only made his panic worse. He tried to focus everything he had on pulling them back in until they were gone.
He dropped to the ground exhausted. Sitting with his forearms resting against his knees he coughed, his clothes had holes burned in them and were blackened in places. He looked up at her his eyes turning back their natural blue Ta-Dah.

She was being completely honest. His power fascinated her to the core. But something about the look on his face told her he didn't quite feel the same way about it, "Why are you afraid of it?" She questioned, though Raelynn knew it was a dumb question. Fire could be destructive, especially if you couldn't contain it well.

Not only did he get an obnoxious power that made him feel out of control, but he got it late, had he developed it when Gemini had maybe he would have been here already, had it under control and would have been able to avoid most of the problems in his life. Because I can't control it, it's hard to control just like that but... He tugged at his singed jeans It tends to flare up when I experience strong emotions, and the stronger they are the more unpredictable it is. He ran his fingers along the dirt You're okay you know? Raelynn bit her lip and looked down, understanding where he was coming from for sure. It was only a few days ago that she, herself, had burned Becca in a fiery outrage over the Gemini/Dani situation. There was arguing that the possibility was always there, but...Raelynn let out a heavy breath and smiled at Ryan, still on the ground in front of him, "Haven't you ever seen Frozen, weirdo?" She inquired, grinning, "If you're afraid you won't ever be able to control it." Raelynn reached forward and grabbed his hand. It was still warm from his transformation, "And until you can learnt to control, I will come out here with you all the time. You never have to be afraid of hurting me." A part of her wanted to help him figure this out so badly that she couldn't even actually explain it.

He really did want nothing more than to learn to control his power so he didn't have to feel like he was on edge all the time.Gemini had offered to help him but Ryan had been less than pleased with the idea of potentially making his best friend extra crispy. It's nice to have someone I guess I feel like gets me. he said, moving to get back to his feet. He still felt a little weak and he stumbled a bit while getting up.

For some reason, him slight comfort made Raelynn's heart feel warm like it was on fire. She nodded, "Always!" She never did fear her power like she knew a ton of people did, but Raelynn wasn't afraid of much, at least she didn't used to be. Recently she has found that a nagging fear in the back of her mind won't go away. She is terrified of losing people. Before she moved to Calloway, she'd had friends but nothing like this. She never did anything but get drunk and spend money on the people in LA. She stood up with him and held her hands out like she would have caught him had he completely fell over, though she is sure with some hindsight that he probably would have just knocked her over, "Let's get back to town." Raelynn said sweetly, motioning back tot he car, "You still want to drive?"

He held his hands in attempt to balance himself Yeah... He shook his head at her when she offered him the keys to the car I love driving her, but I'm really out of it. I wouldn't want to wreck her. He dropped into the passenger seat of the car, laying his head back against the seat with his eyes closed for a moment. Everything had happened so quickly, and he was so tired but He felt better knowing he was able to keep it into control even when he had started to panic. Nothing had burned down and no one was dead so that was a plus. He looked at the blonde, She had to be one of the sweetest people he had met in a long time, at least that was sweet to him anyway. When she was close enough to hear him he opened at eye You and Coop... aren't..together are you?
