Raelynn know that, after leaving and coming back, she was lucky the school was even letting her coming back. But even now she didn't really have a big passion for school. She was now standing on a stage that had been set up in the corner of a shoddy little bar on the edge of Calloway. It was only like four in the afternoon, but the bar had some cool drink specials and open mic from four to seven so here she was. Her guitar was sitting across her lap and she was strumming it, looking at the two guys sitting across the bar together who seemed like they weren't paying her any attention. Ryan had only been in town for about a week, he hadn't done much but talked to someone about getting help with his powers the last thing he needed was another arson charge and more jail time. They had mentioned him getting his GED and eventually starting courses at the University but he didn't think that was going to happen, he wasn't a very good student. He took the free time to go exploring the town when he stumbled upon a little hole in the wall on the edge of town. He loved dive bars for whatever reason, he thought they had character and he'd take one any day over a fancy club. Leather jacket in hand he pulled open the door to the bar. There was hardly anyone in the bar a couple guys bent over their drinks and a pretty blonde young blonde with a guitar up on the stage playing guitar and singing. She had a pretty voice and seemed pretty talented though he didn't know much about music. He slid on to a bar stool dropping his leather jacket on the bar. Can I get a rum and coke? Thanks. He mumbled to the bartender not wanting to make too much noise while the girl sang. He turned on his bar stool to face the stage, twisting the leather bracelet he shared with Gem around his wrist, while he waited for his drink.

When another guy walked into the bar during the last song of her set prior to her break, she was thankful. He was good looking and actually turned around to watch her finish the song with a final chord ringing across the dirty wooden floors. She smiled and said into the mic that she would be back in twenty minutes before sliding off the stage and setting her guitar in the case carefully. She flipped her blonde hair over her shoulder, getting it out of the way of her Captain America t-shirt, as she walked across the bar and smiled at the guy, "Hey, thanks for at least pretending to be interested." She laughed, looking at the other guys who were still way too interested in the bottom of their beer bottles. She waved at the bartender and he slid her a Budweiser, her usual, as she motioned to the seat next to the man, "Seat taken?"

He spun around so that he was facing the bar. Nice shirt. I've always liked Captain America, I've always envied his values. When I was a kid my best friend and I used to pretend we were super heroes I'd always pick Captain America. He picked up his glass swirling the liquid around inside of it before taking a drink. She paused for a moment, reminding herself that telling people about her past was not okay. It had surprised her when she learned that people weren't normally locked in a basement as a child, "I had a lot of spare time. Comic books pretty much saved me." She grinned, taking another sip of Bud Heavy. The two men sitting down the bar from them got more beers without even saying a word. She frowned and shook her head, "Nope. My first time. But I like it. Kind of cozy and definitely has personality, ya know?"

I just moved here from Louisiana, I'm born and bred from Washington though. He had only spent a couple of years in Louisiana but if he had to go anywhere besides Wyoming it would be back there or somewhere in the South, he just liked it better there. Seattle was great as a place but it held too many memories and too much baggage.
