Ry was enjoying the view of the starry sky over head as he took a puff off of his cigarette the whole situation was odd, after all these years to have stumbled into the one bar with the one girl who happened to know Gemini. He had to admit that Raelynn and Gem’s relationship confused him, he was also curious to know why If Gem had a girlfriend why had he driven out to this bar to meet another girl without her. All answers he could get later he guessed. He put his cigarette out and headed back in the bar only to see Gemini looking like he was going to be sick heading for the door. Too Much fireball dude? Gemini hadn’t responded and only patted him on the shoulder telling him sorry that he would talk to him later and to get his number from Raelynn. Ryan stared at Rae a confused look on his face and then looked back at door the slammed shut behind Gemini’s exit. He looked back at Rae and then back at the entrance to the bar. Uh…Should he be driving?

Reality is pretty much the worst thing ever. It is always what waits for you first thing in the morning after you have been asleep for eight or nine hours, ruining that little bit of peace you feel before you realize that nothing will ever feel that way again and you feel empty and miserable. That is the best way Raelynn could have described that lingering feeling as she watched Gemini walk away from her. Her mouth was hanging out, in shock mostly, and she was standing still as Ryan rejoined her and posed a question. She shook her head, looking at him after a moment of staring at the closed door, "What?" She asked, finally looking at him, "Yeah...he's just fine." Her voice was bitter and she turned back to the bartender, "I need a Crown straight up." She groaned, sitting down again, "Make that a double." It was all she could do to keep from crying. |

Ryan noticed the bottle of fireball Gemini had been drinking out of on the counter and slid it over to Raelyn. Here. Have a present. Ryan didn't drink fireball, he wasn't a huge fan of cinnamon if he was being honest and as far as he was concerned. He ordered another rum and coke, not wanting Raelynn to have to drink alone. He caught the bitterness in her voice and cocked an eyebrow Uh.. Should I ask.. or...? He normally didn't concern himself with other people's drama, if they had been anyone else he would have order his drink and picked up a conversation with her over something else but, this did concern Gemini so he made an exception.

Finishing off the double in one gulp, Raelynn slammed the shot glass on the bar and pushed it away from her, letting the Fireball replace it in front of her. The bartender tried to take the bottle away but she held up her finger, finishing a large gulp before digging into the pocket of her Captain America jacket that was slung across the bar, "I will give you $500 cash to make sure I never run out of liquor." She said, sliding a stack of twenties across the wooden bar top. She took another swig of the cinnamon whiskey before answering Ryan, "I'm gunna tell you all about whether you ask or not." Raelynn was already feeling the liquor coursing through her system, "But first, explain to me why guys are always like that." She said, "I mean, a girl falls for one of them and they do everything in their power to make sure it will never ever work." The bottle of fireball was already halfway empty by the time she got the question out. |

Ryan was both worried and impressed by this girls determination to get smashed, though he knew this now meant he'd need to slow down on his own drinks. He gave the other two men a suspicious look maybe it was because of Missie but he just didn't trust men around pretty drunk girls, especially pretty drunk rich girls. He studied her for a second How do you fall for someone you don't know? Ryan didn't mean for his question to be rude but the whole situation had him confused. Doesn't he have a girlfriend?

He could only make sense of some of what she was saying Yeah not having sex with sleeping girls is definitely a problem? If this guy is such a jerk and marries strippers? then why is your sister in love with him? Obviously Ryan knew Raelynn wasn't really talking about her sister. He placed his hand on Raelynn's shoulder when she laid her forehead against the bar it was kind of nice touching someone like him, it'd been awhile since he'd felt what a 'normal' person felt like.

Ryan's eyes went wide as Raelynn fell in his lap but he caught her.He lifted her back up onto her chair adjusting himself so that he was standing in front of her seat his hands on either side of her. It was the only way he could think of to support her no matter which way she decided to lean. Some people might have found Raelynn's drunk state obnoxious but it was almost nostalgic for Ryan it reminded him of taking care of Missie when she'd stumble in from a night of partying. He humored her slurred speech with nods and smiles, he couldn't help but laugh at her You kind of remind me of my sister, and I have a feeling we're not talking about yours are we? No.. He shook his head an amused look on his face.

Ryan looked around he wasn't sure if he should call someone to come get Rae, he'd try and take her home himself but all he had was his motorcycle and he couldn't even trust the girl to stay upright in her seat. I'm sure it is... Here. He scooted her forward on her chair enough that her feet could make contact with the ground though he still let her slump against him. That should help a bit. He wasn't quite sure what to do, it's possible he could put her in a cab but then he couldn't guarantee She'd get home safe completely. He wasn't thrilled with the idea of leaving his motorcycle at the bar but he would if that's what it came down to What if you let me drive... or I'll have to call Gem to come back and get you, and I don't think you want that. Ryan wasn't even sure Gemini would come to retrieve the girl or if it was the best idea, he hoped the threat would coax her into handing over her keys.

    Raelynn was chewing on her lower lip trying to focus on putting the guitar away carefully. Even when she was drunk, it was one of her most precious items. When the case was snapped closed, she ran her fingers over the top of the metal Decepticon emblem she had glued to the front along with a number of other stickers that revealed her inner nerd. She carried it to the bar to grab her jacket and turned to Ryan, "Why does he think my favorite color should be red?" She asked, frowning as she slipped into her Captain America jacket, "I mean, is it the fire thing, or just because I seem like a red kind of girl?" She started walking toward the door, assuming her was going to follow her, "You know, I can kind of see it though. And I do like red. It's nice. Probably my second favorite color." What the hell is the relevance of this?
"Keys?" She finally registered what he had said to her when they reached her car. She pulled the key to her 1967 Red Camaro out and offered it to him, "Treat her nice, kay?"  |
