Running with Scissors [OPEN]

Taking in a hissing breath, Tyler counted to three in his head before pushing off against the back wall of the library. He barely made three complete strides with his legs before reaching the boundary of the bookshelf. As planned his body phased right through it.  The library was relatively quiet, with the majority of students, Tyler thought, still choosing to keep it as far away as possible. Classes had picked up again, but that didn't mean people were necessarily eager to jump right in. The sun was even still up, its lazy light pouring in from the upstairs windows. He had figured now or never. The pounding of his feet grew louder as he picked up speed, his body phasing through the second and third rows of bookshelves as he continued his sprint from one end of the floor to the other. It seemed to get easier with each round, and his puffed up cheeks spread wide with a grin and he continued to make his way through. He didn't even know what aisle he was in, the colors of each row washing away as he sped through them - all until the last one when, practically violently, he collided into something. Someone.  "Shit!" he shouted. Tyler tumbled in the air, landing on his back with his feet hard against one of the last few book cases. It wavered in its place, tilting. Dani rarely studied and visited the library even less. It wasn't because she didn't care, contrary to popular belief, but because she just didn't need to. Her grades were stable and she didn't think college was her thing, so her basic skills got her through just fine. However, when it came to tests, she some times did need to get away long enough to do a little review. History was her worst subject, so with her book in one hand and her bag slung across her shoulder, she made her way down to the library with the intention to spend an hour or so there. Reading the book might actually be able to help her this time around.

It didn't take her long to realize that the building was basically empty, but she still went to her favorite secluded spot instead of plopping straight down. Or that was the intention, at least, before someone knocked her over. She hadn't seen the guy before, but it wouldn't have mattered. The teetering book shelf pulled her attention away before she could say anything to him other than "What the.." As it went to fall in the opposite direction, Dani felt for the strings that she normally used to pull weapons, or the objects her power defined as weapons, and grasped some of them firmly, most of them books from the other side of the shelf. With a hard tug, she tried to right the shelf, but couldn't tell if she had succeeded or only tilted it towards them instead.
