The sun was almost down sinking behind the mountain ridge leaving behind a pastel sky of light blues, and pinks. The temperature couldn’t have been more perfect than if they had got to pick it themselves. Cool enough that you could relax outside but warm enough that you didn’t freeze after taking a dip in the lake. The water melodically lapped against the shore of the lake as a soft breeze blew and the leaves rustled softly. Beginning was the melody of crickets beginning their nighttime song.
Aurora threw another log on the pile meant for the fire before striking a match and throwing it in the depths of the pile. The burning wood began to harmonize with the crickets as it roared to life.
She mentally went down her checklist, why she had agreed to be the one to set up the summer bonfire was beyond her. Fire check, drinks check, She looked over at the coolers full of everything from beer, to bottles of hard alcohol, to an assortment of different sodas. Food check, Another cooler of hotdogs and on top of it the stuff for smores and chips. Like anyone is actually going to eat She thought to herself but at least it was there along with a couple cases of water bottles. Music…She turned on the radio that sat on top of a nearby picnic table and adjusted it to the top hits station. That’s what kids today listen to right? She adjusted the top of her pink swim suit and plopped down in the soft grass. She took out her phone and shot Seth a quick text he should be here any minute

cause we got that fire and I know why, we ain’t gonna die tonight. Karys couldn't recall 100% how she received the memo that there was going to be a party/bonfire down by the lake later tonight, but she figured she might as well make an appearance due to the fact that her friend list was looking a little empty and parties were the perfect place to meet new people. At the same time, Karys kinda dreaded the whole affair because hellooo going to a school party knowing absolutely no one was just asking for an embarrassing situation. Hopefully there would be lots and lots of alcohol. Introductions always went better when she had booze in her system.
As Karys made her way across Ashford campus and towards the direction of the lake, she clicked on her iphone to check her makeup in the camera. So far so good. The sun was just beginning to set over the tops of the mountains, casting cotton candy pinks and blues across the sky. Karys slightly adjusted the black one piece bathing suit she'd settled on for the night. If the party was out by the lake, Karys had hoped that at least a few people would go swimming. If not, then Karys would just have to make a scene and going swimming by herself. Living out where she previously did in Virginia meant that she didn't really have access to huge lakes like the one here by Ashford, and Karys fully intended on taking advantage of the situation. As she drew closer to the lake bed, the smell of burning wood drifted along on the breeze. Which meant that at least someone was already out here setting up and that Karys wouldn't be the first one on the scene. As she drew closer to the smell, she caught sight of the pile of wood, a picnic table with a radio perched on top playing the top hits, and a single girl chilling in the grass next to it.
"Heyyy. I know I'm showing up super early to the party but whatever I was extremely bored. My name's Karys by the way." She waved at the other girl as she neared the bonfire and made a beeline over to the coolers for a drink. Figuring she'd start out light, Karys grabbed a Mike's Hard Lemonade and moved over to sit up ontop of the picnic table next to the radio.

Seth has the ability to crawl up walls and other things. He's your regular real life Spiderman. His powers can benefit him in the element of surprise and also aid in avoiding attacks. It allows him to move quickly from building to building as long as the jump isn't too far apart. It's also beneficial in getting those top shelf items. One of the downfalls is that it isn't very helpful when he needs to be on the offense. Also Seth isn't always sure footed and has been known to fall and break a few bones. Luckily there isn't much Seth has to do to keep his power in check

If you Weren’t Real I Would Make You Up As Seth headed down to the lake his phone buzzed in his pocket. Pulling it out he saw that he had a text message from Aurora. “Hey Loser, What’s your ETA” It read. My sister is so sweet. He thought to himself before shooting a quick text back informing her he was only a few minutes away. He was pretty stoked to be headed to a party it had been awhile since he had gotten out and even longer since he had gotten to have a drink. As he approached didn’t see Karys at first and only his sister. “I’m a loser? You’re the one sitting here by yourself, loser.” He said he then caught Karys out of the corner of his eye He turned to her and with a small wave said “Oh Sorry, Didn’t see you there. Names Seth and I am apparently totally unobservant.” He stood there awkwardly for a second "Well. I need a drink." He said walking to dig through the cooler before pulling out one of the darker beers. Aurora looked up as she heard footsteps She assumed it was Seth but instead She say Karys. Aurora gave a smile “Hey I’m Aurora” She said “I like your swim suit, I’m glad someone else wore one. I was afraid I’d be the only one.” She said adjusting the top again self consciously. “I don’t think I’ve seen you around, Are you new?” Aurora said trying to keep a conversation going so they wouldn’t fall into an awkward silence of cricket chirps. Again the sound of footsteps through the grass made her turn and look, She saw Seth approaching and breathed a sigh of relief. She wasn’t good at small talk at all. She rolled her eyes and motioned to Karys when Seth proclaimed she was a loser for being alone. She watched her brother stumble over his words and laughed to herself. Ralph's powers are actually that of Animal Morphing but he has yet to actually fully morph so it seems like its mere mimicry. Currently his abilities mean he has heightened senses, sight, hearing and scent.He also is highly sensitive to emotions and feelings (you've guessed it, yes be can smell fear). His powers are in the process of development and he's soon going to do the full morph. He's obviously very hairy from the power and he's also got many Wolf like quirks for example he will fight to gain dominance and if you win he is submissive. He sleeps curled up and will chase a ball if thrown to him. Another note is that Ralph is a carnivore and he eats ten times more than any eighteen year old does, he won't eat vegetables willingly. Also he's not allowed to have raw meat even slightly under cooked because it risks making him feral. He's also stronger than most eighteen years old and fitter with sharper reflexes but he's fairly easy to defeat when necessary, tranquilizers work very well.

| Tag// open Notes// whoo | Ralph had heard about the bonfire going down by the lake and although he hated the idea of that many people, he loved the lake. Not so much the water but more the fish, be loved trying to grab the fish from the water and then he'd more than likely toss them back only to catch them again. It was something that appealed to him, he decided the whole thing would be soothing. The sounds of nature invading his ears and the smell of the evening air in his nostrils would provide the young man with much joy. He also loves grass and inevitably will end up rolling in it just so he could smell it on himself for a while.
The weather was in Ralph's opinion, perfect. Not to hot and not cold, while most would use this to their advantage and go in the lake Ralph would not. He hated water in any larger capacity than the rain and would avoid it at all cost.
Finding the spot was easy, he just followed the smell of woodsmoke and warming and homey smell that always made Ralph feel good. As he approached the spot he could smell that there were two other females present and a male with some others approaching from all around. He didn't say anything as he made his way down to the fire relishing the sound of the crickets, and the breeze that he felt comb through his scruffy hair. He saw the other three occupants that were already there. He gave them a nod in greeting before plopping himself down on the grass, fairly close to the fire so he could feel its warmth on his face. |

The ability to summon weapons allows Danielle to take any weapon within her line of sight, barring complications such as super strength or another more powerful telumkinetic. She is limited to only two weapons at a time, though she only usually takes one unless she's going for a bow and arrows. They always land safely in her palm with no chances of impalement, even if she turns around or moves her hand. The only way for this to injure another person is if they step in to the path of an incoming weapon before it switches directions. Her definition of the word weapon can be pretty broad, as she can summon anything that she has the intent to use as a weapon or that she has seen used as a weapon before, such as a belt.

Danielle hadn't intended to show up early to the first real party of the year, but she was excited and couldn't quite help herself. Everyone else was coming later on, but for right now she was flying solo. Someone had text her the vague location down near the water and she found it easily between the smoke and the music, not to mention the sound of voices floating through the trees. It probably wouldn't be a wild night like she wanted, but beggars couldn't be choosers and she was definitely looking for some action. "Hey big guy." She called, almost as soon as she saw Ralph. He didn't look like he was up for much company so she choose to keep walking, mostly in search of a drink.
Finding her way to the cooler, she took out the first bottle she could find and opened it. The brew was bitter and tasted horrible, but it was alcohol and that's what really mattered. "What's up? Everyone else get lost?" One of the girls she didn't know appeared to be the hostess of the evening, so she adressed her instead of the general group. Almost as an after thought, she shot Nix a text in hopes that her new buddy would show up to the party too.

Karys had always been a fan of the smell of bonfires/bonfires in general, and tonight was no exception, just the air around the campsite smelled amazing. She placed her Mikes on the table next to her and leaned back on her hands, tipping her head back to take in a deep breath. Only when the new girl mentioned something about her bathing suit did Karys sit back and brush her hands off on her bare legs. "Oh thanks, it took for forever trying to find something to wear and I wasn't sure if this was a little over the top but eh. And yeah I am, I actually just transferred here from Virginia, new powers and all that. I heard I'm sort of a late bloomer in that department." She made a face and grabbed her drink. Things always got a little awkward for Karys when powers were brought up. This time it was kinda her fault but still. She took a few sips awkwardly before noticing a third person arriving at the party.
By the looks of it, Aurora and Seth we're already familiar with each other. Seth introduced himself and Aurora further confirmed their relationship as brother and sister. Karys tossed a smile his way, amused at his visible awkwardness and said, "Haha hey there, I'm Karys." At least she wasn't the only awkward one at the party. Now we just needed a few more people to show up before we could actually call this the beginnings of a party.
As if on cue, two more people showed up on the scene, the girl appeared minutes after the guy. The dude seemed just a tad strange to Karys upon first impression, choosing to plop down by the fire immediately without even saying a word to anyone else. Her mouth quirked up a bit as she studied him, he had that scruffy, tough guy sort of look, but it suited him. Karys shrugged and turned her attention to the new girl, who had apparently aimed a question towards Aurora. She looked to be a bit rough personality wise, but overall relatively nice. From first impressions, Karys knew she wasnt the type of girl to mess with though. After taking another sip from her drink Karys pipped up in reply to the new girl, "Apparently, either that or we're just the lame ones who show up to the party ages before it actually starts getting interesting."

Seth took a sip of his drink as Aurora and Karys talked. Seth watched as Ralph approached, he didn’t recognize him but he felt relieved that he wasn’t the only guy at the party though Ralph didn’t seem overly friends. He nodded a hello back to him. He heard someone call out and turned toward Dani it seemed she knew the other guy already. He listened quietly to the girls conversation. He took another big gulp of his drink hoping to down it as quick as possible. The sooner he could really start drinking the sooner he could be drunk. He pulled a pack of cigarettes from his pocket and fished one out; lighting it, he inhaled deeply. It wasn’t as relaxing as drinking but at least it gave him something to do. Aurora smiled at Karys “Oh How cool Virginia I bet it’s nice over there. She took the drink Seth handed her and popped it open taking a big sip. How bad would it look if she dove into the harder stuff this early in the night.
Two more people arrived, a guy and gir;l who seemed to know each other. Aurora didn’t recognize either. Luckily Seth was here or She’d know no one at all. Aurora nodded at the guy as he walked by and plopped down in the grass. Even though his mannerism came off as somewhat distant, she didn’t pick up on that feeling from him though some people really were just hard to read so there was always room for error.
Aurora watched Dani retrieve a drink instead of going to join her friend. “Maybe, Hopefully it picks up or this party will quickly turn into a bust” Aurora said answering Dani’s question that seemed to be directed at her. She laughed at Karys’s comment “So much for being fashionably late, right?” She took another big gulp of her drink.
She turned to Ralph “Hello..” She said. She noticed he hadn’t gotten a drink when he arrived “Can I get your something to drink?” She asked wanting to play a good hostess. She mentally sighed Again WHY did I agree to this.

She wasn't being antisocial, she just wanted a place to sit without feeling overly crowded. At a club or a bar that would've been fine, but right now...well, it just wasn't on her list of fun things to do at an outdoor party. "I'm Dani, by the way. From his sense of smell Ralph could distinguish that the other male and the female originally sat on top of the picnic table were related, siblings probably. Ralph visibly brightened when Dani walked over and towards the others. At least the knew one person here, "Hey small person. How's it going?" Ralph responded to her greeting. He gave her a small wave as she walked past. Ralph could the smell the other type of smoke as the other male lit up a cigarette, he could help but scrunch his nose up at the smell that unfortunately didn't agree with his senses. Ralph smiled as the girl approached him and offered to get him something to drink. "Uh..
No thanks." Ralph politely declined, he stood up as Danielle walked back over to him. "What are you drinking that stuff smells nasty." Ralph commented to Dani as he recoiled a little from the strong smell coming from the bottle in her hand. He smiled at Dani as she introduced herself to the girl that was clearly being hostess. |

YOU WANNA GET SO HIGH breathe me in like air tonight
According to the grapevine, there was a party going down at the lake for everyone who was still on campus for the summer. Which meant that all sorts of crazy shenanigans were going to go down tonight, and crazy shenanigans were right on up Alaska's alley. She was actually looking forward to the party seeing as things had been a little dull lately. So honestly didn't even care if she didn't know anyone who showed up, parties were parties. In typical Alaska style, she settled on wearing a simple black strapless dress and just a pair of black flip flops. She wasn't sure if anyone would end up taking a dip in the lake so she wore her black bikini underneath the dress just in case.
It was already getting pretty dark out by the time Alaska got confirmation on where exactly the party was and started making her way down there. The crickets were already out and chirping by the time she reached the spot. There were a couple people already gathered around the fire, most with a drink in their hand. By the looks of it everyone was split off into different little groups instead of actually mingling. Alaska rolled her eyes lightly and waved at the entire group before calling out a greeting. "Come on guys, is this a party or a funeral?" She skirted the fire and grabbed a beer from the cooler, popping the top off. Everyone needed to be a lot more drunk than they already were otherwise this whole party was gonna fall flat pretty fast.
"Not sure if I know any of you but in case I dont, I'm Alaska and I was just thinking that we should kick the fun up a notch or two." She flipped the beer bottle top up in the air before sending it spinning off into the darkness.

Raelynn has the ability to control and manipulate fire and heat. She is completely heat resistant. She can create fire, but it is easier, right now, for her to use fire that is already created to play with, hence the lighter. Raelynn is weak against cold weather, ice, and water which puts a damper on her power. She has to have sufficient oxygen to control fire and if, for some reason, she were suffocating, her power would instantly be harder to control.
She can use a small flame and, from that, create more fire far more easily than create fire from nothing. Raelynn can use her power as much as she wants, at least she will be able to after practicing at Ashford.

Like a magnet she was drawn to the music and the laughing; and like a moth to the flame, she found herself hovering about the bonfire grinning and giggling as she glanced around at the various other party goers.
Raelynn was seriously dressed down today, wearing a pair of nice denim shorts that were short, but not so short that her butt hung out the bottom. She hated when girls wore such tiny little outfits that they were flaunting everything before the guy even got a chance too undress her. On top she had shimmied into a pink bandeau with a cute texture on it to accentuate her curves. To look less like a slut, she thew a lacy, see-through shirt over the top of the pink bandeau and picked out some matching accessories. After sliding into her brown boots, Raelynn had left the dorms alone, sure she would meet a new friend at the party.
Now that she was here, she wasn't sure who to talk to first. Raelynn wasn't shy or nervous, despite her early-life isolation, but she did have a hard time making decisions about thinks like who to talk to and what to talk about. So right now, as she made her way tot he coolers to find herself a bubbly Smirnoff Ice or something, she finally said something to the girl standing closest to her, "Hey. " She grinned and grabbed her drinking, twisting the top off of it and dropping the bottle cap into her pocket.
The other girl was wearing a pair of denim shorts and what looked like a deep-v necked black bathing suit. It was super revealing, but crazy cute. She didn't realized until she had already said something that she was kind of interrupting an already flowing conversation. Oh well, too late now.

Even though parties weren't necessarily her scene all the time, Becca still showed up. Surely being around other people would help offset some of the weird vibes she had left over from the past few days, right?
Wrong.
The first person she saw was Raelynn, but hey, they had to start acting like sisters in public some time, right? Walking over to the cooler beside her, she grabbed a bottle of Mike's hard lemonaide and opened it, not caring if it was a girly drink or that she probably wouldn't finish it. She was there to socialize, not drink herself stupid. That was definitely Rae's job.
"How's it going?" She greeted, cheerfully to whoever was closest.

It allows him to move quickly from building to building as long as the jump isn't too far apart. It's also beneficial in getting those top shelf items. One of the downfalls is that it isn't very helpful when he needs to be on the offense. Also Seth isn't always sure footed and has been known to fall and break a few bones. Luckily there isn't much Seth has to do to keep his power in check

Don’t Know Why I’m Still Afraid If You Weren’t Real I Would Make You Up Seth took another puff off of his cigarette and sat down next to Aurora in the grass. A pretty blonde he had never seen before came up asking if it was a party or a funeral. “Funeral. It’s where fun came to die.” He joked with a small smile. It wasn’t that he wasn’t having fun but things hadn’t really gotten started yet. He had to do a double take when he noticed the other two girls who had arrived looked exactly alike. Though their personalities seemed very different. Finishing his cigarette he snuffed out the end and dropped it in his now empty beer bottle. Though he would be described as nerdy if there was one thing Seth knew how to do it was drink. It might be over a game of Magic The Gathering or some type of comic book themed drinking game but it was drinking none the less. He stood and made the quick walk to the picnic tables where the coolers were stashed with the hard alcohol. He set out a row of cups on table and then took inventory of some of the alcohol bottles he had grabbed. Fireball. Patron. Smirnoff. Malibu. “Alright.
