HER POWER TO TALK WITH ANIMALS IS MORE OF THE ABILITY TO UNDERSTAND THEM. ANIMALS SEEMS TO UNDERSTAND HUMAN SPEECH AND HER MIND CAN TRANSLATE ANIMAL SPEECH TO SOMETHING SHE CAN UNDERSTAND. IT JUST HAPPENS AUTOMATICALLY AND SHE CAN'T EXACTLY CUT IT OFF BUT JUST LIKE TALKING WITH A PERSON SHE HAS TO BE WITHIN EARSHOT TO UNDERSTAND THE CREATURES. SHE CAN GET VERY CONFUSED ON WHO SHE IS TALKING WITH OR WHERE A CONVERSATION IS COMING FROM IF SHE HAPPENS TO BE IN EARSHOT OF SOME ANIMAL.
CONTROLLING IS A BIT DIFFERENT. IT ISN'T A SPOKEN COMMAND IT IS MORE OF A MENTAL ONE. IT TAKES TOTAL CONCENTRATION AND SHE CAN'T CONTROL AN ANIMAL FOR MORE THAN AN HOUR, NOT THAT SHE WANTS TO. ANY LONGER AND IT CAUSES MASSIVE HEADACHES, NOSE BLEEDS AND IN SOME CASES SHE WILL PASS OUT BUT THAT DOESN'T HAPPEN TILL THE TWO HOUR MARK. THE SIMPLER THE COMMAND THE EASIER IT IS TO CONTROL THE ANIMALS. RAVEN PREFERS TO JUST ASK THE ANIMAL IF THEY ARE WILLING TO DO SOMETHING RATHER THAN CONTROL THEM. IF HER CONCENTRATION IS BROKEN SHE LOOSES CONTROL.

[attr="class","slideup"] | swallowed up in the sound of My Screaming Cannot Cease For The Fear Of Silent Nights Raven had planed the trip so that they would leave as soon as school let out. Partly because she wanted to get away from all the craziness and also she had a few places to go in a short amount of time and wanted to make sure there was time for her to hang out with her best friend who agreed to tag along. Their first stop was the Sanctuary in Colorado before heading to Europe. Most of her time at the sanctuaries were spent dealing with business or working with the animals as well as having to make an appearance at a dinner or two. Raven did take the time to make sure there was something that Ralph could do while she was taking care of the people aspect of things. She did make sure that the trip through Europe was mainly just her hanging out with her best friend.
He had quite enjoyed the whole experience. She loved the animals and getting to work with them. With her new found confidence she also had no issue with the meetings and being a representative of the family. Sure she still had some resentment for them but not having to be around them was nice. She did see her father once while working, he had stepped in on one of the meetings to just observe. Since he didn't say anything to her and just gave her a firm handshake she knew he wasn't totally disappointed in her performance. She figured she was going to hear a ton of static from her mother, but as long as they made it back in time for the wedding she didn't care. If she was even going to make it, from what she had heard from her brother there might not even be one.
They would be finishing up the last night in Italy before leaving from Rome to head to Zambia. She quite loved traveling. Sure she missed her apartment but she had Onyx with her and the cats were well taken care of so it didn't bother her. She was looking at her map of Rome. Apparently they had arrived during a music festival so there were going to be some interesting concerts and she was figuring out the best way to get to one. "Hey so lets take the back road, it shouldn't take long to walk and we shouldn't have to deal with too much of the crowds" She stated to Ralph as she looked over the map again.

ANIMAL MORPHING (WOLF) |
Ralph's powers are actually that of Animal Morphing but he has yet to actually fully morph so it seems like its mere mimicry. Currently his abilities mean he has heightened senses, sight, hearing and scent.He also is highly sensitive to emotions and feelings (you've guessed it, yes be can smell fear). His powers are in the process of development and he's soon going to do the full morph. He's obviously very hairy from the power and he's also got many Wolf like quirks for example he will fight to gain dominance and if you win he is submissive. He sleeps curled up and will chase a ball if thrown to him. Another note is that Ralph is a carnivore and he eats ten times more than any eighteen year old does, he won't eat vegetables willingly. Also he's not allowed to have raw meat even slightly under cooked because it risks making him feral. He's also stronger than most eighteen years old and fitter with sharper reflexes but he's fairly easy to defeat when necessary, tranquilizers work very well.

Ralph had been enjoying his trip with Raven so far, while he was apprehensive at first that quickly faded as they settled into their comfortable best friend. Ralph tagged along with Raven to sanctuary's and helped out, unless cats were involved then he steered well clear because anyone could predict that it wouldn't end well. When his best friend went to fancy dinners with posh people for the business side of the trip, Ralph mostly slept. He was still somewhat nocturnal and with both him and Raven being so busy and active during the day Ralph didn't mind catching up on lost sleep while his friend did what she needed.
Raven's confidence had soared as of late and Ralph couldn't help the pride he felt for her. The circumstances may not have been the best but Raven came back stronger than ever and that's what counted. She didn't wither away in herself but came back kicking, accepting the criticism dished out to her by Dani and becoming better from them and not nasty. She was no longer the shy girl he knew but the person she was becoming was far better. Ralph just wished her confidence would rub off.
It was almost time to say goodbye to Rome and head out to Zambia. However Rome had some music festival on and Raven wanted to go, so Ralph agreed. "That's a good idea. Lead the way Colombo. " Ralph said. He shot a grateful smile in Raven's direction, his sensed were stronger than hers and she knew that he struggled in crowds quiet a lot.

Or even just a companion besides the animals or her family. Everything seemed so different now that she had some part in the family. As much as she hated to admit it was nice to be useful. To have a purpose even. It was also something she loved. Sure she could do without the whole business side to things. But even the posh dinners were not so bad. Especially since her family wasn't there. If this is what her life was going to be like then she was OK with that.
Raven knew that staying away from crowds was the best idea because of Ralph. He hoped that the trip would help him out some as well. Everyone had their own demons to face and she had managed to deal with hers for the most part. She just hoped that Ralph would be able to get a good control over his own self. Raven laughed at his statement before leading the way. "So I know this whole trip so far has been go go go but what do you think?" She hadn't really asked that question since they started the trip. She had been too focused on work or just enjoying the sights.
