Character's Items
Jax’s sisters favorite necklace was a gold chain that had a little plate at the end with her name on it; still covered with scratches from the car wreck, which gives it an almost eerie look to it.
Personality Description
Jax is a very timid person who dislikes interacting with people in large groups, but will if absolutely needed. Jax tends to do whatever he wants without thinking about the consequences and for a long time has felt self-conscious and questions whether someone likes him or not, and I always suspicious of people. Jax struggles to open up to people due to his parents leaving him shortly after his powers developed so he has few acquaintances and fewer still friends. Jax is quick to resort to using violence when distressed, and, when completely overwhelmed, will resort to using his power. Jax is very intelligent but doesn’t exert any effort in school these days. In the past he was an excellent student, a role model even. Jax is obsessed with psychology due to the nature of his power and wishes to completely understand how the brain works and wants to be able to discern why people act the way they do.
power details
Official Power Name
Phobiokinesis
General Power Description
Jax’s version of Phobiokinesis allows him to look at someone, in his line of sight of course, and immediately discern what their greatest fear is. He can then cause them to have hallucinations involving that fear for up to 5 minutes which is spread out among the people simultaneously hallucinating. The power only works on those in Jaxs’ line of sight, but causes Jax to get headaches when around large groups of people due to the sheer amount of fears he discovers. However, once effected, the power will last until time runs out or they break out of it.Power Weaknesses
Somebody who is not mentally strong enough to fight it will be engulfed in terror until the time runs out, however a person who recognizes that it’s not real can fight against the hallucination and break out of it rather easily. People not affected can also break someone out of the trance by hitting them softly yet firmly ( or hard.)
Without Your Power
He wouldn't be able to read the fears of a person anymore, but physically and otherwise there is virtually no difference.

She died in the hospital, but not before telling me that it was not my fault and that I needed to stay strong."

character background
History
Jax was born on Halloween of 1995. As a kid his parents were loving and supportive. They were at all of his Basketball games, they watched movies together, they played all sorts of games together, and they even swam together all the time during the summer months. Jax and his sister, Madison, were basically joined at the hip. Madison, being 3 years older than Jax, taught him how to play basketball, though Jax quickly became the better player.
Jax joined the basketball team and his family attended every game they could and showed their support. One night, however, Jax, instead of partying with the team, decided to go home and spend time with his sister as she was preparing to leave for college. On the way home, Jax lost control of his power and, before he knew it, Madison was engulfed in terror and lost control of the car. The wreck was terrible and, later that night, Madison died in the hospital. Before she passed, Madison attempted to keep Jax from feeling responsible, knowing that his powers are what caused the accident for the most part. Jaxs’ parents, however, were not of the same sentiment. Knowing that he had powers, but not really understand what exactly that was and meant, they began to blame and ostracize him.
When Jax was 16, his parents disappeared never to be heard from again. Shortly thereafter he was brought in to the Willis’ home, a foster home. Jax was mentally changed by the wreck and his parents leaving, and began to lash out at the world. He began to argue with his foster parents habitually, conducted himself poorly in school and his grades even began to drop off. He isolated himself from the rest of society and, when he turned 18, moved out. Now he is a first year at the University of Ashford and is determined to change his ways. Regretting how he treated his foster parents, he is now beginning to open up to them, though he finds it extremely difficult to do so. No longer fighting society but not actively trying to participate has kept Jax socially isolated still.
