Luck Manipulation sounds like it is all fun and games. For a bit of it, it sure can be. Gage has to power to manipulation, create, and control luck. But there are a few things to remember about luck in general is that just because someone is granted luck, it does not mean that everything will go right for them forever. First of all, Gage's power does have a time limit. The luck he gives someone really only last for the next twenty hours or so. The second thing you really ought to remember, is that not all luck is necessarily good. Gage does have the ability to bestow bad luck, and while most of the time he has a good handle on which kind of luck he is throwing around, he can sometimes lose touch with it. Finally, being granted luck, whether it is good or bad, never makes anything 100% certain.
Too expand a little on that, things can become near certain depending on what they are. It seemed like Gage hadn't been in a town a solid five minutes before he was texting his old buddy from back in the day. He pushed through the door of Aldrich Hall, typing away on his phone like one of those mindless zombies he would probably be hypocritically making fun of sometime in the next few days, and almost ran right into a curvy blonde on the stairs. They stopped on the landing and he flashed her a daring smile, giving that cool guy head nod in greeting. Her face flushed red and she smiled back, not bothering to step back shyly like most girls. It made him wonder if she was just really confident, or maybe if she was too awkward to know that they were standing unnaturally close to each other, "Hey, watch your step." He said mocking offense as he stepped back, creating the appropriate distance between them. She bit her lower lip and giggled, apologizing before she took off down the stairs. He was admiring her red bikini top and the denim shorts she had on when she tripped over her flip flop and landed on her knees on the first floor. She laughed nervously and stood up, glancing over her shoulder at Gage like she was checking to see if he was still standing there. Gage waved at her and grinned, making her face bright red again as she took off through the door, laughing at herself.
Gage relayed the moment to his friend via text as he continued up the stairs and stopped in front of room 201. The name plate next to the door had large, neat white letters that clearly said 'COOPER, GEMINI' and 'FOWLER, TAZE'. Gage reached up and sent a final message before knocking on the door loudly to announce his presence. |

Gemini was sprawled out on his bed, cellphone in hand. He slid his fingers across the screen scrolling through the latest news which was proving to be incredibly boring when a message popped up from Gage. He couldn't remember the last time he'd talked to Gage, it had to have been at least six months or more. After an few awkward texts about a girl who could only be Raelynn from Gage's description of a red bikini top, a text and knock happened simultaneously alerting Gemini to Gage's arrival.
He tossed his phone down on the bed and closed the short distance between his bed and the door. He pulled open the door, eyes wide with excitement Dude!What the hell is up?

He shook Gemini's hand and gave him one of those bro hugs before entering the room completely and camping out on what must have been the roommates bed. Gage looked around, nodding as he passed judgement on the dorm, "Nice." He said simply, leaning forward so his elbows were resting on his knees, "I see you're still goofy looking. When you gonna fix that shit?" |

Gemini returned Gage's bro hug before closing the door after he had entered. He dropped down into the rolly computer chair at his desk sinking down into with his legs outstretched in front of him. Gem scoffed Psh, ight' I see your still jealous of my good looks. It's okay Bro, someone's gotta come in 2nd place. he grinned. He reached for a pencil off his desk twirling it between his fingers. I'm not complainin' but what brings you back here?

Gage grinned and shook his head, "Glad to see you finally learned your place and admit that I am the best." He moved his back and winced a little. Anyone would be able to hear the popping noise his joints made, "Oh, You know. Survive one explosion and suddenly you're not in prime physical shape that the military approves of. No biggie though, I got a medal out of it and my picture with some famous people." He winked, "Very useful with the ladies."
He replied, frowning at a large poster of a truck that hung on the wall. It wasn't just a truck, either, it was one of those hillbilly trucks with the Confederate Flag painted sloppily on the hood, "You're roommate seems like a real winner." He said, pointing over his shoulder at the poster. |

Raising his eye brows, Gage fell back on to the roommates bed, Taze if he read the name correctly, and raised his eye brows, "Sounds to me like you are going to miss me more than I am going to miss you." Gage grinned, "Course I haven't met my roommate yet, no telling what kind of introverted crazy he is." Leaning back, Gage turned and looked at the pictures on the desk, almost immediately jumping back up to get a closer look. He picked up one of a guy on a four wheeler and held it up, "This him?" He asked, not frowning, but not necessarily excited about it either. He put the picture back down and picked up the frame holding an image of a cute little blonde girl, "What a hottie! This his girl?" |

His eyebrows raised when Gage made a fuss over the picture of what her could only assume to be Amy Nah, that's his sister. She is pretty cute though... but I think She's pretty young. Gem ran his fingers through his hair ight' so lets hear em' you couldn't have been gone that long and not come back with decent stories.

Gage put the picture down so quickly after Gemini mentioned that she was young that the corner left a scratch across the wooden surface of the dresser the picture was sitting on. He stepped back and grinned over his shoulder at Gemini pulling the office chair out and grimacing a little as he sat and his knees popped loudly, "So which do you want?" He asked, almost daring Gemini, "War stories, or war stories?" He winked, insinuating that chasing girls was basically war.

Gemini laughed at Gage's reaction. I know right? Is it just me or it getting harder to tell? He tried hard to not make a face this time when Gage's knees popped. Gem pressed his lips together, looking up at the ceiling out of the corner of his eye as he thought. I'll take war stories for 500 Alex. he said making finger quotes around 'war stories.' He had to live vicariously through someone and frankly most of the guys He knew were lame at least, when it came to girls. Besides Virgil, most of them caught feels quicker than people caught the plague.

Sticking with the Jeopardy theme started by his old roommate, Gage gave his version of an answer, like on the blue screens on the show, "Minnesota. Polar Plunge. White t-shirt contest. Miss America Pageant."

Gage returned the high five with a grin on his face, nodding like he knew that he was a bad ass and everything Gemini was saying made total sense, "Hey, you weren't even 18 when I peaced out." He said in defense of himself, "And now that you're relevant, I have returned to take you to the promised land." Gage stood up, motioning that Gem should follow his lead, "Come on, we're heading to the club on Cody tonight. Get ready." He looked Gemini up and down as if judging him, "You should look less like a homeless person."

Though the prospect of hitting a club with Gage sounded like the next best thing to another Vegas trip, he knew it was going to become obvious that something was up when he wasn't trying to take a girl home. He also knew that, that something was going to get him a ton of grief. Gemini rolled his eyes I look homeless? Do they not provide you guys with mirrors over there. he said as went to his closet to find something more 'club' worthy to wear than just a t-shirt and jeans.
