THERMAL MANIPULATION |
Daniel's power of thermal manipulation allows him to control the temperature of nearly any physical matter to a certain degree. He is both able to heat and cool objects at will by manipulating them on a microscopic level. Heating wise, Daniel is able to increase the temperature of an object by 142 degrees Fahrenheit (61.1 degrees Celsius) higher than its current temperature. However, as with every ability, there are certain limitations. Daniel is not able to cause an item to exceed the temperature of the boiling point of water, and attempting to do so will result in failure. If an item is already at 212 degrees Fahrenheit (100 degrees Celsius), then his powers are rendered useless.
Along with being able to heat things past its current temperature, Daniel is also able to make things cooler. His powers allow him to cool nearly any physical form of matter by 100 degrees Fahrenheit (37.8 degrees Celsius.) However, just like the other side of his abilities, Daniel has a limit. He is unable to exceed -30 degrees Fahrenheit (-34.4 degrees Celsius.)
Daniel's abilities are able to affect items that are within his line of sight away from him in a circumference of 300 feet (91.44 meters.)However, the larger the object, the easier it is to focus and affect, while the smaller the object the harder it is for him to see, thus focus on. His current temporal limit for manipulating an objects temperature is several hours before extreme fatigue.

 Daniel had been on campus for several days now, and while he had spent little time settling in to begin with, he had managed to discover that he wasn't the only one in his room. One would of thought that being told at the front desk that he was now sharing his personal space would have processed through his mind, but instead he waltzed into the area, and immediately threw half of his belongings onto one of the two beds before waltzing back out to take in the sights that Calloway had to offer. Now he was returning back to the campus, having just finished a brisk walk around the park, and heading deeper into town for some shopping that had took way longer than he thought due to his own indecisiveness on what he actually wanted to purchase.
As he opened the door to his dorm, he was surprised to find the other person to have already been there. "Hello!" he introduced himself, the surprise in his voice unintentionally coming to the light. "We must be rooming together, what is your name?" |

Fin's powers are earth manipulation, meaning he can control earth and its elements. He can also tell you where to find different preacious metals. He can generate earthquakes, landslides and sinkholes, which he did when his power first manifested. He doesn't know how to control it yet, his emotions do that for him, the earthquaked are triggered by his anger. Currently he is supressing it and it then quakes inside him breaking his bones. If he's not internalising it, he goes huge and brings down buildings, or simks them.The problem with Fin's power is that he is limited to how long he can use it, it varies depending on what he's doing with it but usually about five minutes is his limit, sometimes it's as little as thirty seconds before he passes out, he is the weak for the next hour and it takes five to be able to use his power again. With enough control he could isolate the tremors to a much smaller area and even stop major quakes but he's miles off that yet.

Fin had been happy not to have a roommate, he wasn't a people person and now he had to share a room with someone he didn't even know. Finley had spent the entire afternoon climbing trees around the lake, he didn't even know what started it but it had been something he enjoyed doing for a long time. His Geokinesis also meant that the earth beneath him was somewhat more welcoming than the stuff dorm rooms. A lot had happened in the last few weeks, like meeting the man that shared their DNA. Finley wasn't sure what the man expected of him but he hadn't really spoken much more to the man. He didn't know if his twin had.
Finley knew he had to go back eventually and he was glad his roommate wasn't about when he did, even if he'd already been in to place his belongings in the room. He sat down on the other bed, he himself didn't have many belongings, he was a foster kid and he'd never felt any sentiment towards things. The stuff he did own he quickly put away where they belong. Fin didn't hear his roommate come in until the guy spoke, Finely had to contain himself and not roll his eyes, even if his back was to the guy. "Fin." was Fin's answer to the guys greeting.

The other boy most certainly didn't seem all to eager to be bothered at the moment, and Daniel couldn't honestly blame him. He wasn't exactly warm to the idea of having a room mate either, but the reality was he did, and he most likely would for the next several months. "Nice to meet you, Fin. My name is Daniel," he introduced himself walking over to his belongings. He regretted just leaving his things askew in a mess to get back to, it wasn't like him to put off work until later, but he still had things to see, things he figured he wouldn't get to enjoy once the summer was over.
Removing his hat he placed it next to the suitcases he still had yet to unpack along with the plastic bag that carried his goods from earlier. "How long have you been going to school here?" he asked, unzipping one of the bags and beginning to arrange his belongings. It wouldn't do any harm to get to know at least something about his room mate other than his name, unless Fin had turned out to be a serial killer or serious criminal. |

Fin wasn't one for idle conversation, actually he wasn't one for conversation and if he had to converse with people he would get straight to the point and that would be the end of it. Finley nodded when Daniel introduced himself, Fin knew that he shouldn't be so closed off with people but he can't help it.
Fin saw his new roommate start to move his own belongings and put them away. "A little under a year." Fin replied and what a year it had been. He'd somehow made Dani mad at him and her boyfriend. However recently Dani was less mad at him and they went to find their father who was a doctor in Calloway, needless to say it was definitely eventful.

He was somewhat relieved that Finley wasn't a veteran to the area, and despite the fact that he didn't seem to be one for much conversation, it did slightly ease the feeling of nervousness, because while he wasn't as quite as a greenhorn as Daniel himself was, he was still relatively new to the school. "I've just arrived a few days ago actually, it's a nice place don't you think? Just a little...small and secluded," he asked. |

Finley not knowing his way around was partly due to the fact that he hadn't been here long but Ashford wasn't that big and you could find your way around everywhere pretty quickly, Finley just wasn't very sociable he was somewhat of a hermit crab, always hiding away in his dorm. "It's out in the middle of some dead end town with run down shops and bars, so yeah its a pretty nice place." Finley couldn't help his sarcastic tone. He looked over at his roommate who was packing his stuff away.

| Daniel took note of Finley's sarcastic tone, however it did little to actually bother him. "Not a fan?" he asked, he could at the very least appreciate the other boy's assertiveness for how he felt. "There are worse places, no? We still have this place, a place where we are able to go, a place that will teach us," he reminded him, referring to the school. "Unless you don't like this place either?" he questioned, looking up to Finley before continuing to rearrange his things. "You are a man of few words, I take it? So when you speak it must be worth listening...okay then" he commented. He hadn't meant for the phrase to come out oddly, but language barriers always seemed to trip him sooner or later despite his efforts. He had heard that when people who didn't speak much spoke, it was usually necessary and worth listening to, so maybe that was the case here. |
