The thing about constantly skipping classes and then rushing at the end o the semester like maybe extra credit would help you pass, is that you end up doing basically whatever your professor tells you to. It should be a crime the way they wave their power over you around and trick you into the most ridiculous things that really have absolutely nothing to do with Calculus. Like handing out the cap and gowns, for instance.

Raelynn was sitting at the table, spinning a quarter around in circles on the plastic surface. A nearly full list of Ashford seniors was on a clip board in front of her, showing that only three students hadn't picked up their little outfits yet. Even though she was trying really hard not to be weird about it, a small part of her couldn't help that her sapphire eyes always lingers on the name "COOPER, GEMINI FLYNN". She couldn't decided if she was dreading his arrival, or looking forward to it. Like maybe it was her chance to prove she could act normal, even after not seeing him for over three months.

Another senior approached, it was a girl Raelynn didn't know, and she stood up, trying not to teeter on her stiletto heels, before pulled open the box and yanking the bag that had the girl's name on it out. Only two more left... Squealing like a pre-teen at a Justin Bieber concert, the girl ripped into the gown and tossed it over her bright blue dress, running out to meet her friends and leaving the large class room across the hall from the auditorium empty, save for Raelynn. Re-taking her seat, Raelynn began spinning her quarter again.

Gemini was still in awe that he had somehow managed to pass his classes enough to graduate. He was almost positive his teacher's had probably rolled their eyes or were celebrating when they found out he was graduating. He knew Jasper had shook his head and grumbled something about how one day he wouldn't be so lucky to just get by on the bare minimum. As if to prove a point in a true Gemini fashion he had waited until the last possible moment to pick up his cap and gown.

Gemini tugged uncomfortably at the knot of the blue tie that sat at the base of his neck as he walked into the class room where he was suppose to pick up his things. He didn't mind dressing up but he usually found ties to be uncomfortable and obnoxious. He'd much preferred a suit jacket over a henley or something but Jasper had requested he wear at least a suit vest, slacks and dress shoes. He stopped in his tracks when he saw a familiar blonde sitting at the table spinning a quarter. How long had it been since he'd seen Raelynn, three months?

Gem stood for a moment looking at her, red. of course. He closed the distance between the door and the table she sat at, his hands in the pocket of his slacks. When he reached the table an amused smirk tugged at the corner of his mouth Hey Sassy Pants.

Ten. More. Minutes. Only ten more minutes and whoever hadn't picked up their little dress thing would just be shit outta luck. She glanced at her phone, not noticing that someone had entered the room, and willed the numbers to count their way to 3 PM faster. They didn't, of course, but it was worth a try. The backlight on her phone faded and turned off as if telling her to get a life. She tapped her heel on the tile flooring and thought about starting the clean up process early when someone said something that nearly made her jump out of her skin.

So he was finally here. The cool, composed Raelynn she had hoped to be was no where to be seen. Maybe she went on summer vacation or something. Instead, Raelynn was just frozen, looking up at him like he was a ghost or something, completely in shock. What finally broke her out of her trance was her quarter spinning off the table and clanging loudly to the floor. She jumped again, this time frightened by the noise of the change hitting the tiles, and cool Raelynn was back, flicking her in the nose and telling her to get her shit together, "Well Hello there, Mr. Grey." She said without thinking. She words brought back a rather provocative memory and she tried to shake it off, but cool Raelynn was starting to retreat again. After a moment are arguing inwardly with herself, in a way that she was sure looking weird to an onlooker, Raelynn finally stood up on her four inch heels and picked up the clip board, "Here for your cap and gown, I assume?" She said, trying to shake of the weird nagging feeling that was making her heart feel like it weighed 1,000 pounds.

Gemini stared back at Raelynn as she looked at him, the amused smirk never leaving his face. He was vaguely aware of the spinning quarter falling, though he wasn't about to waste the energy to reach out and grab it before it hit the ground. He cocked an eyebrow at her greeting, his smirk turning mischievous Besides being the object of desire of women everywhere, I fail to see the connection. He teased.

Gem nodded in response to her question Unfortunately I am. Better late than never, right? He wasn't thrilled about the graduation attire, he was positive that not even the amount of hair gel he used was going to protect his hair from that stupid hat. His eyes traveled downward, and he couldn't help but take notice of her heels and how the accentuated her legs. His green eyes moved back up her silhouette before resting on her face How have you been? he asked cooly.

RAELYNN CLARISSA DAVENPORT

Raelynn rolled her eyes, spinning around to face the box. She crouched in the best way possible to keep herself from flashing Gemini, and pulled the package with his name on it out. The gown was folded nicely inside with the cap stowed on top of it. It came completely with a dark green and grey tassel, the academy colors. She reaching behind her best she could and grabbed the table to use it as support, knowing that if she tried to stand up on her own that it would definitely result in an ugly connection between her face and the floor.

Sliding the plastic wrapped graduation garb across the table, "No resemblance, eh?" Raelynn asked, smirking, " 'Not fun in bed'. Duly noted." She teased, knowing full well that it probably wasn't true. But what could he do, really? There wasn't any way he was going to prove it. This would continue to be a fun point to tease him on, "Please sign next to your name stating that you received the dress." She grinned, teasing him further.

Gemini placed his hand down on the package, scowling down at quickly. There was that stupid hat. He scoffed at her accusation and rolled his eyes playfully, though he couldn't help but wonder what Raelynn's definition of 'fun' was. Apsh, I'm the definition of fun in bed babe he said flashing her his cocky smile.

Gemini pressed his lips together, his eyes fluttering closed for a few seconds when she called it a dress. This girl. Cute. Really, Cute. he grumbled. He picked a pen up off the table, stepping around next to her so he could get better access to the clipboard. He scribbled his signature next to where his name was printed. His arm brushing against her as he did so. He tilted his head slightly, looking at her out of the corner of his eye. So...have you been avoiding me the last three months or is it just a coincidence?

RAELYNN CLARISSA DAVENPORT

"Hey." She said, holding her hands up defensively and grinning,  "You're the one that said you don't resemble Christian Grey. it's not my fault that you literally described yourself as being different for the most popular sex symbol among women right now." She winked, "Besides, with my limited pool of experience with you in bed, I am going to have to make my own assumptions about your abilities and so far they are questionable."

After a moment, Raelynn pulled the clipboard close to her chest and held it casually as if trying to play off his accidental (?) arm brush like it was something that didn't even phase her, sliding the pen into the clip so that it was secure before shrugging, "Avoiding you?" She asked innocently, like she hadn't even noticed that they hadn't seen each other for the last quarter of the year, "What ever do you mean?" It was super obvious that she was being cute when a bright and mischievous grin broke across her face, "So you gunna put on your dress?" She asked, poking the plastic packaging around the cap and gown playfully.

Gemini raised an eyebrow before narrowing his eyes at her Questionable? Really? because I remember you being pretty into everything we've done. He then gave a nonchalant shrug But hey, you know whatever helps you not fantasize about me I guess. Gem rolled his eyes at her response Damn it woman, It's not a dress. It's like.. a robe... Yeah robe sounded a lot more manly than gown a lot of cool dudes wear robes. Hugh Hefner for one, and he's a baller He crossed his arms over his chest and sat slightly on the edge of the desk. There was no way he was going to let her off the hook, I mean did really have any anywhere more important to be. Oh and you know...avoiding me, like not texting me, or calling...or are we not friends anymore?

He wasn't wrong. She had really enjoyed everything they had done together, you know, up until Danielle showed up, or came up, or ruined everything with her general being. Raelynn and Danielle Rockefellar had smoothing things over, as far as she could tell, but that didn't make Raelynn like her. She tolerated her, pretending to enjoy her company like maybe that would make her feelings for Gemini...

Raelynn stopped her train of thought as fast as she could. Feelings? She didn't have feelings anymore. That was ancient. Gone and faded and...Yeah. She rolled her eyes in response to his obvious statement of confidence, "Well yeah, but without verification of follow through..." She cocked her head to one side to add snark to the comment like a baker might add a rose to a cake, a simple finishing touch that just made everything come together.

Stepping back, Raelynn glanced at her phone and saw that her sentence was over. She was free to leave. She slid the clipboard into the box with the last gown that had not been claimed. Grinning, she grabbed the box and put it on the table, pointing to the large green letters printed on the side, "It's literally called a 'gown', my friend." She smirked, "There is no way to spin that so that it is cool." With a light giggle, Raelynn flipped the top of the box closed and picked it up to carry it to back to her professor's office in Hunter Hall.

Stopping at the door, Raelynn turned to look at him, "I do believe that phones go both directions. So should I accuse you of avoiding me?" She asked with narrowed eyes, placing her hand on the light switch as if beckoning him from the classroom.

Well I guess you'll just have to keep using your imagination. He said, moving to pick up the package on the table, examining the items through the clear plastic. He watched her closely as she packed up the items and rolled his eyes when she pointed to the letters printed on the side of the box Me, wearing it makes it cool enough I guess. He concluded. He tucked the package under his arm in no hurry to put any of it on.

He followed her to the door a suddenly serious look on his face Me Avoiding you? no way. I actually kind of missed you. Just kind of though, don't get too excited. He said giving her a goofy smile as he stepped through the door. He twisted his wrist slightly, the face of the Tiffany's watch he was wearing caught the sunlight, blinding him for a moment before he could read the time. Do you need some help? He asked motioning toward the box with a nod of his head. He knew full well Raelynn could handle the box of her own, but he wasn't sure he was ready to part with her. I wouldn't want you to trip, I know what a poor relationship you have with the ground.

Rolling her eyes, Raelynn decided to drop the argument on his potential erectile dysfunction. It's not like it was going to go anywhere and all it really could accomplish was a very annoyed and very emotionally distraught girl and a very unchanged Gemini. Sighing, she flipped the lights off in the classroom, and moved the large box so it was balancing on her hip before closing the door, "I think I actually got this one." She sighed, smiling politely. This was how she always needed to handle Gemini, at arms length or further without any sense of closeness or familiarity, "I have to get this back to Hunter Hall..." Raelynn bit her lower lip like she so often did when she didn't know what to say and thought that keeping silent would be better. Her blue eyes looked at the door of the auditorium where graduation was about to begin, "Don't you have somewhere you should be?"

Gemini's face visibly fell for a second when Raelynn declined his offer for help though it didn't last long Ah, ight' then, look at you all Independent. My Sassy Pants is growing up he teased. He rubbed the back of his neck unsure of what to say, Raelynn's more formal attitude was making him uncomfortable, a true rarity for Gemini Cooper. His eyes found the door of the Auditorium when she asked if he had somewhere to be Mmm, Technically. You mean to tell me you're not going to come watch me graduate? It's a big moment. He asked giving her his best pouty face. He took a couple steps backward in the direction of the auditorium We should hang out sometime, Considering we're both going to be in college now and all.. He made a face as his words echoed in his head and he suddenly felt desperately pathetic. How Stupid

For a moment, Raelynn just stood there in the corridor and smiled at him. It was like she was having a hard time choosing between following her head, which told her to wave and walk away, and her heart, which wanted her to hug him and stay to watch him graduate. So, after a few second of pensive thought, Raelynn just smiled kindly and stepped toward him, kissing him on the cheek, "Congratulations, Star Lord." She sighed into his ear.

Raelynn, stepped back and bit her lower lip again when she saw a dark red lipstick mark on his cheek where she had kissed him. Giggling, Raelynn reached up with her fingers and tried to wipe it away, "You may want to wash you face before you appear before the public." Stepping back, she shifted her box to her other hip and waved awkwardly before turning and heading for the exit.
