Nathan has the ability to manipulate a person's health. In general this is limited to small wounds such as a minor stab or cut, some broken bones, and minor illnesses. However, if he concentrates extremely hard and is willing to lose quite a bit of energy, Nathan can some times heal mortal injuries, such as a gun shot.
He cannot bring someone back from the brink of death, as it would deplete him completely of his own energy and most likely kill him. The best he could do at that point is close the wounds that he could and then fix everything else the old fashioned way.
As far as illnesses go, he can in general shave off a few days or hours, depending on the illness. He cannot make it go completely away.
Nathan is limited to using his powers only a few times a day, so he tries to avoid using them at all whenever possible. They are physically draining and tied directly to his own energy source. If he goes too far, he can risk side effects such as dizziness, fatigue, and even death.

It had been ages since Nathan had last seen his brother, especially since he'd found out about the children being in Calloway. He'd been trying so hard to make sure that his petition when through that he had completely neglected the rest of his family. Now however, his work had paid off, so logically the first person he wanted to see was their uncle. Without even a message in his brother's direction, Nathan grabbed the court documents ordering that a visitation date be set, Nathan jumped in his trusty car and headed to the police station, hoping that Riley would be on duty that afternoon RILEY DAVID BENNETT |

With his power he can start fires when camping, or in his backyard fire pit. With the help of his brother over the years and his first aid training he learned how to use the power in emergencies if a wound needs to be cauterized. He can have a wider beam or a very narrow and precise beam for delicate work, however, the narrower and more precise the work the smaller his peripheral vision is and so in a fight he would be unable to see an approaching target, though he can hear normally so if they were to step on something loud he could anticipate an attack. If he over uses the power his eyes become strained and he needs to wear glasses to protect his eyes as they recover.

Riley leaned back scratching the back of his head. it had been a long and thankfully uneventful night at the station, sure there would always be the paper work and the dui's that come in but as long as nothing serious was happening he was always a very happy man. Though he was happy he still found he missed his brother, though he knew his brother was busy attempting to get visitation rights for his kids. To think they had been here right under his nose. Riley still found himself partially to blame for how long it took his brother to find them.
Hearing the station doors open he looked up and smiled, it would seem Nathan enjoyed answering his thoughts once again since he was the one standing in the entrance. "Nathan! What caused you to rise from all your paperwork and patients to come visit?"
