TELEPORTATION |
Gideon's power is that of teleportation which means he can travel instantaneously from one place to another without the occupying the space between. Gideon's power takes intense focus and lots of energy. The further the distance the more energy needed and the more concentration required. The same applies if he's teleporting objects or other people. He has a special link with a girl and he can feel where she is anywhere on the planet and teleport to her without any energy used, she's a telepath and has a telepathic link with him. However there is a major hitch, Gideon needs something from the place he's going to in order to make sure he gets there safely. He's got a good understanding of his power and can teleport on command when necessary. If he does however teleport without a 'anchor' from where he's going the chance that he gets stuck in between is increased. Being stuck between here and there is like a sort of limbo, he is conscious and alive but not really there. The space between here and there is known to him as nowhere, time doesn't even reach this dimension and so therefore if he gets stuck it can be for a few hours to a few years and he'd have no idea. He's only been stuck in nowhere once before and it was for a few months when he was sixteen, its still the subject of his nightmares. He's currently stuck in nowhere again and has been for a few weeks now, he's trying to teleport out but he teleported injured and unconscious and this drained his energy. In order to get out of nowhere he needs to make contact with someone who isn't stuck. Last time it was a Telepath that connected to him that did it. Every time he tries to teleport out of nowhere those not trapped might see a flash of light, a puff of smoke or his actual figure just a little fuzzier.

If there was one thing Gideon got used to in his life more than anything else, it was routine and plans. Knowing exactly what would happen and when, his days always followed a certain routine just so he wouldn't be thrown into a ness of confusion. He feared very little but one thing that always had the young man anxious was not knowing what was going to happen next. Graduation was exactly that for him, while he'd decided to stay in Calloway and study psychology that was all that he knew. He didn't know what would happen and this was unnerving. He knew there were a few others also graduating but sadly Gideon didn't know them, in fact he hardly knew anyone. He'd avoided coming into contact with people and was basically a recluse.
Gideon had been avoiding the crowd of people that were at the graduation party, he'd found a place where the people were sparse and he wasn't feeling boxed in. He had some kind of soda in his left hand as he looked over the crowds of people, scrutinising each one. Gideon was raised to always be alert, he couldn't switch the part of his brain off the screamed 'get out of there now' it was the reason that he was so tense while everyone else seemed happily relaxed and ready to face life after high school.

THERMAL MANIPULATION |
Xan can sense and manipulate temperatures around him. He can feel in a sense heat and coll temps from people and objects allowing him to almost see his surroundings. This is just natural and doesn't shut off. If there are too many of the same temperatures around him he can't always differentiate between the objects.
Manipulating temperatures takes focus and he can hold a temp for up to three hours as long as it doesn't exceed -20F point or 300F. Anything past that the length he can keep it up differs. He doesn't have to be in physical contact with what ever he is working with but does have to be withing three feet of it. He can heat up a 10ft radius of water as long as he is in the water. It seems that if he is in contact with water he can make the heat or cool temps travel further. If he is not concentrating it doesn't work and there is the chance of getting too hold or cold that it will burn or freeze him only when the temp is at a more extreme. Also it is stronger if he is in physical contact with the object.

Graduation was interesting to say the least. Not in that anything happened, but more like everything seemed to work out. Xan had no doubt what he was doing with his life or how things were going to pan out for him. He had all that figured before even coming to Ashford. He knew he was one of the minority though. Mainly because most people had no idea what they wanted to do or how their powers would work with it. Xander knew some of the previous years seniors more and they really were at a loss for what they wanted as far as he could tell. This year he really didn't know too many of his fellow students this year. It wasn't that he wasn't social, far from it. Just this year he was so focused on his work most of the time that getting to know is fellow school mates didn't really happen. Granted a good portion knew him since he was a jokester in class.
There was one thing Xan didn't really like and it was being surrounded completely by people because it made identifying them quite hard. He could sense the heat but because of so many bodies being close together he couldn't tell them apart, making him focus harder which inevitability gave him a headache. Xander left the crowd of people and noticed someone standing off by themselves. He walked over to them not really caring if they wanted the company or not. He figured it was another student who had just graduated. "Nice ceremony, right? Though the speech could have been much shorter" He asked just trying to start up a conversation.
