I'm a land mine." Finley was certain that although not deliberate, he'd not spoken to his twin in months. They did spend a little time together but between Danielle's busy social life and Finley's pure awkwardness, they hadn't spent more all that much time in each other's company. Fin knew he was some what responsible because he was being super awkward due to him and Gem weren't exactly friends and Dani spent most of her time with him. Finley couldn't help but feel protective of his sister and unfortunately Gem's reputation was a reminder that he might just break his sisters heart. Finley knew he should try harder to get along with Dani's boyfriend but he had feeling that what they were about to do wouldn't help ease relations. Danielle had told Finley that she knew where there father was, or at least had an idea. His twin had managed to get under his skin and convince him to help her find the man. Finley was reluctant, after all, what if the guy didn't want to see his SPB twins and they just turned up. Finley always had a negative view of people finding it hard to see the good in them, Dani somehow managed to the opposite even if she didn't know it. Dani had waited a little while to call Finley, definitely a few weeks after spring break. With that weird fight with Gem, not to mention everything else going on in her life...it had just seemed more important to do things like spending time with her sister than running off to find their father in the middle of the night. Now the time had come, and after a quick google search she knew exactly where they needed to head first.
She hadn't even bothered to bring a purse with her as she walked across the lawn, directions in hand along with the keys to the car she had borrowed for their relatively short trip. As soon as she was close enough to Finley to speak to him without it being suspicious, she started talking, her tone aggitated. You'll never guess in a million years where he is. Just try. She started, rolling her eyes dramatically at someone who wasn't even there.

Finley smiled as he saw his sister approach, this was her idea and he just hoped it worked out. More for her sake than his own, although finding a father that cared about them would be ideal, he didn't think that this was the case with this guy. Dani's aggitated tone made him think about her question for a moment, it must've been an obvious place that they'd missed all these years. "Uh Texas?" they were born there so that made the most sense. Finley honestly didn't know, he had trusted Dani to find his location while he convinced himself that they should go through with it. Walking up closer to her brother, Dani sighed and then remembered that she hadn't even remembered to actually great him like a normal person. Sorry, hi. And no, not Texas. She elaborated, wrapping her arms around her twin in a tight hug for just a minute before she released him to continue their conversation. He's here, in Calloway. In fact...it looks like he's the town doctor. I read some articles about him online and yea, apparently he's like some upstanding citizen no matter where he goes. Moved back in to town around the same time you got here. None of it made even a little bit of sense, but oh well. At least they weren't going to have to drive all the way to new york or something like that just to see if the dude even wanted to talk to them.

Finley returned Dani's hug, no one else could hug him. He didn't do physical contact, not from anyone except his twin. He smiled at Dani, he hadn't noticed that she didn't greet him but it was nice that she remembered. "You're kidding right!?" Finley said. "Our father is an upstanding citizen! Who'd have guessed." Finley was of course more surprised that their father was in Calloway than what kind of a citizen he was. It was just something amusing to bring to a rather serious situation. "So where abouts in Calloway? Are we heading to his practice or whatever? " This was of course if their father had his own practice. At least they were close if Finley's fears were to come true.

Yea, I figured we could head there now. I borrowed a car and Gem knows where we're going just in case something goes down. Dani knew that fin likely wouldnt be happy about that, but she'd rather know that someone would go looking for them in an hour or two in case their dad did turn out somehow to be a psycho. The place is down on old main street. Are you sure you want to go through with this? You don't have to go if you want to. At the end of the day she was a big girl and she could take care of herself without the help of her brother.

"Good plan. Let's go." Fin said. He didn't like the fact that Gem knew but he figured it was sensible for at least one person to know where they are and he didn't have anyone so he let it go for the moment. "We're so close to finding him, I'm definitely not chickening out now." Finley said, he wasn't about to let Dani walk into this alone. He also felt that it was about more than just finding their father, he felt that this was a step to repairing his relationship with his twin and his once best friend.

Good. It shouldn't take long at all, so if anything we'll just go get lunch and call it a day if he turns out to be a mad scientist. She grinned, stopping at a small white car in the nearby parking lot. Despite her nervousness, Dani was ready to get it done. They were probably a solid five minutes, ten if she drove slow, away from having some form of closure. Once upon a time a case worker had said something about her father's family petitioning for custody, but that had been years ago. Maybe there was some hope that things weren't really that bad. So...how are things going? I mean...we don't talk like at all and your just a floor away...so... Dani asked. she had to admit she wondered what her twin was up to these days that kept him away so much.

Finley simply nodded his agreement, he secretly hoped that their father was in fact not a mad scientists. He also hoped that the man wouldn't turn them away or deny that he was their father, although they didn't exactly have solid evidence as far as he was aware. Then again what of their Dad was a good man, that longed to his kids. This was the outcome Fin feared most, what if his father was a great man and disliked him, maybe the man would happily accept Dani but not him. It was all these thoughts that swirled around in his head since the day Dani mentioned finding their Dad and he'd be glad to finally settle them. "Uh the usual, training, classes and whatever else I can find to do." Fin shrugged. He did attend his training session, they were trying to teach him not to internalise his emotions and as a result his powers but it had been doing very little good. He'd also spent a lot of time hiding out in his dorm, trying to shift severe headaches he'd been getting. As for classes, Fin knew that his twin wouldn't be fooled by that one, his attendance to class wasn't at all that regular . "How about you? Still with Gem?" It was a simple question, he was curious to know if Gem actually stuck to one girl for longer than a few hours.

Dani shook her head at Finley's claim to have been going to class. It wasn't like she was ever going to believe him in a million years, but she didn't say anything either, not when they weren't already arguing or being awkward. Yea, I'm still with Gem. We had a pretty big fight a few weeks back but everything is good now. She admitted as they pulled in to the parking lot at the clinic.

Finley liked the fact that they were at least talking now without arguing or shouting. They were family and would work it out eventually but it was nice not to be fighting. "I'm glad you worked it out." Fin would probably have been alright with Gem if he wasn't with Dani. He never meant to be a pain about them either but he had his fears, for Dani. He just didn't want Gem to hurt her. Finley got a little nervous as they pulled up to a clinic. "So this is it."

Yea Fin, this is it. She whispered, taking off her seat belt to get out of the car. For a moment, she wondered if they should've dressed up or something. Was her shirt too casual? Were her jeans too tight? Fifty thousand questions plagued her in the five or so seconds it took her to open the door and step out of the car. If she stopped moving, Dani was worried she wouldn't go in at all. The door dinged quietly when she pushed through it, hoping that Fin was still following her. A few words were exchanged with the nurse about making an appointment. Before she could even show her state card, the woman rushed them back in to a room, saying something about the doctor being in a hurry and they didn't have time for paperwork. Hopefully he wouldn't be inconvenienced by them just showing up or have to run away to soon now that they were finally there. Standing at the door, Dani moved closer to Finley, but not close enough to crowd him. I guess this is it. He's really, really coming.

Although he was never one to show emotions and to others it may have seemed he didn't even have them, he definitely felt them and any SPB possesing powers related to emotions would be having a field day right now. Fin couldn't even say how he was feeling, he was nervous, excites, happy, scared and angry all once. It was definitely confusing and the swirling thoughts in his mind didn't help to ease his mixed emotions either. Fin followed Dani out of the car, they were really going to meet their father, they were actually doing it. Finley stayed close behind Dani, he was tempted to turn around and run right that minute and never come back but he couldn't do that, not to Dani. He'd already run away before and he definitely wasn't about to do it again. Finley looked to Dani a little confused as the nurse ushered them both into a room, if the doctor didn't have time for paperwork would he have time for his two kids he hasn't seen in years. Finley felt Dani move closer and he himself stepped closer to her, he draped his arm over her shoulders more for his own comfort than his own. "Dani! I'm terrified. " Finley admitted. He wasn't easily scared and definitely didn't find people frightening but the fact that their father was on his way to them and they had so many questions that might be left unanswered scared him. What scared him most though was if this man hurt Dani, if he didn't want anything to do with them.

Nathan has the ability to manipulate a person's health. In general this is limited to small wounds such as a minor stab or cut, some broken bones, and minor illnesses. However, if he concentrates extremely hard and is willing to lose quite a bit of energy, Nathan can some times heal mortal injuries, such as a gun shot.
He cannot bring someone back from the brink of death, as it would deplete him completely of his own energy and most likely kill him. The best he could do at that point is close the wounds that he could and then fix everything else the old fashioned way.
As far as illnesses go, he can in general shave off a few days or hours, depending on the illness. He cannot make it go completely away.
Nathan is limited to using his powers only a few times a day, so he tries to avoid using them at all whenever possible. They are physically draining and tied directly to his own energy source. If he goes too far, he can risk side effects such as dizziness, fatigue, and even death.

Nathan was on his way out to meet with a counselor up at Ashford to discuss the logistics of his first visit with his twins whenever the nurse stopped him to say he had a last minute walk in. Inwardly, he was annoyed that he would be delayed, but part of him realized that he still had a job to do. Now if something like this happened whenever that visit did come...well, they'd better hope they weren't dying.
He lingered outside the door for a minute, waiting for the nurse to bring him his jacket so that he didn't get anything on the suit he was wearing. She'd said there wasn't any blood involved, but you couldn't be too careful when you were attempting to make an impression the way he was. Alright, what seems to be the- He started, opening the door and strolling in to the room just to be stopped in his tracks whenever he looked up to see a familiar looking boy and a girl who appeared to be the same age huddled together in a corner.
Maybe it was the light, or maybe it was seeing the two of them together that made the connections click in his head, but it suddenly occurred to him that the boy he'd seen down by the lake was so familiar because he'd seen him before. In fact, he'd been the first person to hold him. That, and his eyes were exactly the same color of brown as his deceased girlfriend Jessia's. Finley? Danielle? He asked quietly, setting the chart he'd been holding down and stepping towards them tentatively.

Dani nodded and wrapped one arm around her brother's waist as the door opened, keeping her from replying to her brother right off. An older man came through the door right then dressed in a doctor's coat and a nice suit. She had to admit that he wasn't what she'd always expected, but he wasn't anywhere near as bad as he could've looked. In her head, she'd always pictured their father looking more like Finley, though she could definitely see the similarities now that she was standing face to face with him.
The longer he stood there, the more nervous Dani got. Her hold on Finley tightened when he finally opened his mouth and said their names, though she was slightly relieved when he addressed Finley first. Maybe that would soothe some of her brother's fears. I...we...yes... She stuttered out. Maybe they should've brought Gem. At this rate they were never going to make a full sentence from all the awkward nervousness in the room.
