APPEARANCE DESCRIPTION | Addi is a spirited girl with very little care about what others think of her appearance. This doesn't mean she dresses poorly. She understands and appreciates decorum in situations that demand it. At such events, Addi is often seen in completely appropriate garb, including very elegant formal wear, flashy cocktail dresses, and even the occasional sensible pant suit for those boring family trust meetings. But that doesn't keep her from expressing her deep seeded love of all things bright and shiny. Now, when Addi isn't required by some social responsibility to her family to look the part of a young, agreeable heiress, she is generally dressed in bright, almost obnoxious clothing. No one who looked at her, unless they knew better, would assume that she is the majority heiress to a large Fortune 500 company, along with her twin. |
BEYOND THE LOOKING GLASS
LIKES | 1. Being outdoors on bright, sunny, warm days 2. Las Vegas at night, which the heat radiating off the sidewalk and the inevitable people watching that comes with having grown up living in a Vegas Penthouse on the Strip. 3. Watching those boring How-To video on YouTube. 4. Going to the movies, especially is someone is having one of those special events where they show the movie outside at the pool or something. 5. The summer and pretty much all things warm and cozy. 6. The bright lights of big cities. 7. Learning how to do new things. 8. Showing off, to some extent. She never shows off on important things, if that makes sense. It's more like, "Look at me, I can do a perfect pirouette out of nowhere." 9. Her father, who is the most awesome person she knows in the world. 10. Feeling like she in contributing to the family somehow, although there are definitely lines she won't cross for the family. The cool part is that her dad would never make her do something she wouldn't want to do. 11. Math in general, especially when related to Statistics and Probabilities. 12. Dancing, even if she looks dumb. She is one of those people who always looks like they are having a good time at the club. 13. Talking and being around people in general. |
DISLIKES | 1. Reading. She would prefer to watch everything in video format. 2. Wintery weather. In Vegas it barely ever gets cold because of the desert, so she isn't quite used to this weird snow thing that Wyoming seems to have everywhere, even in May. It disturbs her. 3. Being told what to do by someone who has no idea what they are talking about. 4. Dark, dank places like weird baements and crap like that. 5. Horror movie. Enough said. 6. The sight of blood or other gross bodily fluids. 7. History in general. Most of it you can't re-enact unless you are sort of nerdy so... 8. Biology and Science in general. Not that they are difficult, but it's all the same all the time. So boring. Scientists need to learn how to make experiments look fun on YouTube. 9. Allowing her family to get disrespected. Addi may not be straight up mobster like her ancestors were, but the Emery family is tight knit and a little self-important. 10. Small towns. Addi is way more a city girl. |
BEST SUBJECT | Math/Statistics |
WORST SUBJECT | History |
STRENGTHS | 1. Really smart when she can watch a video and learn how to do something. 2. Multi-talented with athletics, and other visual skills. 3. Very good at her ability. Almost perfect control of it with in reason. 4. Her family name and money is a strength. 5. Math and Statistics |
WEAKNESSES | 1. History 2. Can't really sit still for very long. 3. Reading. It's not that she is bad at it, she just can't sit still long enough to care. 4. Patience. Addi can be a little impatient with things. She is always set at GOGOGO and never likes to slow down if she doesn't have to. 5. Being quiet. She can't do it. Like at all. |
HOBBIES | 1. Watching videos on YouTube. Addi can sit there for hours and just click through recommended clips without realizing how much time has passed. 2. Working out. Specifically, running and dancing. 3. Chillin in her hammock. |
PET PEEVES | 1. People assuming she is a ditz and that she doesn't know anything. 2. Being told she isn't what they expected the Emery heiress to look like. ...bitches. |
PERSONALITY DESCRIPTION | Addison is a bright, bubbly, and happy person. She is nice and can come across as kind of a ditz is you don’t know anything about her. She loves to be outside and working out, constantly moving around and doing sports. On a sunny, summer day, Addi can be found hiking, or hanging out in a hammock she spent the last ten minutes trying to set up just so she could look cool in a hammock. On the other hand, the cold and rainy days that Wyoming generally has, drives Addi indoors, to the safety of her space heater and her laptop. Addi is incredibly smart, although it really had nothing to do with her ability to study. But either way she doesn’t really like to flaunt her intelligence. In fact, she finds it funny when people assume that she is stupid because of how she acts or speaks. When other people say things that don’t follow normal logic, Addison silently judges them and it amuses her. Not very many people know about her judgmental side, though, because when she says it out loud it really makes her sound like a terrible person and she is just too nice to make people aware that she might be thinking they are dumb, even if it is completely true. Addison can’t stand people who assume they know better than everyone else, but it isn’t that she hates them or anything. In fact, she finds them challenging and kind of likes to prove them wrong. Knocking pretentious people down a peg is one of her weird hobbies. |
ALL THE SMALL THINGS
POWER | Innate Capability |
POWER DESCRIPTION | For Addison, her ability was not difficult to master. The nature of Innate Capability is just that, after all. Mastering things. By watching things, Addison can learn how to do almost anything. For example, Addison became a successful and talents gymnast in her final year of middle school just by watching the Olympics. There are a few limitations in this ability, making it less perfect than it sounds. Addison has to SEE something happen, be it in real life or in a video. In real life, she is limited based on distance, lighting, clarity, etc. If she is watching something in a video, there are many more reasons why something may not register including but not limited to camera angles changing too quickly, bad quality of video, movements too fast, video cutting away for artistic reasons, etc. |
SPECIAL ITEMS | Addison loves her clothes and her laptop/tablet thing. |
SOMEBODY THAT I USED TO KNOW
CHARACTER HISTORY | Starting from a very young age, Addison always loved playing poker. To some outside observers, this might have been bad parenting, but to Addison it was like the best family game night ever. She was taught how to count cards when she was nine. Her father explained that it was so, in the future, she would be able to identify when patrons at her father’s casinos were counting cards and eject them. Because of her rather unorthodox raising, Addison never attended a public school system. Her father hired many private tutors who lived with her in the penthouse with her twin and taught them when there was time. Needless to say. Addison was not the best student when she first started her education. The flashy lights and loud music of the Casino floor drew her in much more than thick, heavy textbooks that could be used in place of concrete shoes if you got creative. Everything changed for her when she turned twelve. Addison was sitting with her tutor, who was trying to instill some sort of aerodynamic crap in her while they watched the summer Olympics. The floor show was extravagant and enthralling to Addison as she watched the girls spin around and flip over and over again. The tutor rolled her eyes as if she knew Addison was about to start in. See, any time Addison saw something that looked cooler than homework, she would always give an eloquent speech about how you don’t need history class to be an athlete, or a chef, or a coroner. Anything but reading. The tutor rolled her eyes and challenged Addison, “Do a flip like that right now and I’ll let it slide for today.” Of course, Addison is fearless. So she grinned, jumped off the couch, and sprinted to the end of the long hallway. Running at full speed, she didn’t understand exactly what was going on, but suddenly the world was upside and then it was upside again. By the time she landed with a perfect pose, just like the girl on the television, the look on her tutor’s face was bordering somewhere between shock and terror. She ran out the door and Addison never saw her again. There was always the knowledge that someday Addison and her twin would develop powers. After all, they took constant trips to a town in Wyoming and learned all about the Super Powered Beings. But she didn’t realize her power could be something so different than the obvious Hydrokinesis, control the weather, reading minds sort of powers. It didn’t take her long to get the hang of her power. Watching video after video, going to every show she could in Vegas, and always returning to her penthouse and practicing; trying to recreate what she saw. The more complicated things took time to understand, but it came so easily to her that she could help but try to apply it to everything in the future. One tutor later and every high school exam she could ever need and Addison was graduation from high school two years later with honors. She was only fourteen years old. Accepted in to Dartmouth, Addison only attended the Ivy League university for half a semester, unable to really handle the constant rain and the cold weather of the New England area. She ran back home to Las Vegas and finished her education there two and a half years later. While she is was college, Addison found a passion for statistics, especially when dealing with robotics and computer programming. She watched countless videos about mathematic equations and statistics in gambling and gaming such as in slot machines and the electronic roulette tables. Her work in college and her fantastic grades got her accepted to UCLA Masters in Statistics program at the young age of nineteen. She graduated with her Masters in December of last year and is now moving to Calloway to begin her PhD in August of next year. |

MOTHER | Amanda Loraine EMERY - Would have been 54 - SOCIALITE (DECEASED) - "My mother and I never really go to know each other well. She spent most of her time with all kinds of fancy clubs for rich people and helping other people with her charity crap. Anyway, she died when I was about five and I don't really remember her so no need to cry me a river." |
FATHER | Korey Shane EMERY - 56 - HOTELIER IN LAS VEAS - "Even though my dad worked a ton, he was one of my favorite people in the world. His Las Vegas Resort and Casino was like my playground and my life when I was a kid. He always spoiled me and even though I didn't see him a lot, we never fought." |
