TRUTH INDUCEMENT |
Taze has the ability to 'persuade' others to tell the truth. The power only works in full force when Taze is touching someone directly, but if someone gets within about ten feet of him they are MORE LIKELY to tell the truth.
When Taze is touching someone, they have no choice, they MUST tell the truth. Whether they are good liars or not, the only people immune to this power are those who's powers specifically make them immune to it. For example a telepath may find a loop hole by telling him the truth in his mind rather than to the whole world, or someone with power negation would be able to cancel his power out.

It was probably one of the first truly sunny and warm day of spring in Calloway, Wyoming and Taze had every intention of taking full advantage. It may not have been the best boat in Oklahoma, but his pontoon had a ladder on the back and built in coolers for the beer under each seat so it was well worth the $1000 he shelled out to his uncle to tow it up here. He was standing on the boat, pulling bits of tarp off of it and throwing the protective covering into a storage unit in the floor. A few more touches and the boat would be ready to take out on the water. Sitting in the driver's seat, Taze turned the key and listen to the engine sputter to life. With a grin her stood up with every intention of pulling out of the boat house in a few moments.

The ability to summon weapons allows Danielle to take any weapon within her line of sight, barring complications such as super strength or another more powerful telumkinetic. She is limited to only two weapons at a time, though she only usually takes one unless she's going for a bow and arrows. They always land safely in her palm with no chances of impalement, even if she turns around or moves her hand. The only way for this to injure another person is if they step in to the path of an incoming weapon before it switches directions. Her definition of the word weapon can be pretty broad, as she can summon anything that she has the intent to use as a weapon or that she has seen used as a weapon before, such as a belt.

Dani had decided that a walk before heading to the bar for the night couldn't be the worst idea in the world, so as per ususal she headed towards the boat house. It was early enough in the spring that she hadn't expected anyone to be out there besides her, but the first the she heard was the sound of an engine starting from inside. Oh well, it wasn't like it affected her at all. instead she just walked to the end of the dock and sat down, her legs crossed underneath her as she looked out at the water.

Once her got the boat out on the water, everything seemed to fall in to place. He sat in the driver's seat and grinned, pulled around the edge of the dock slowly and heading for the "No Wake" buoys. He stood up to get a better view as he turned and noticed someone sitting on the edge of the dock. What are odds, eh? He pulled the boat to a stop and let it float a little as he yelled over to the girl, "Why the long face, gorgeous?" He called out, close enouch tot he docks that his truth inducing influence was at least touching her a little bit.

She had to admit that the guy on the boat was kinda hot, but at the same time she was swearing off guys for the moment. well...maybe. The closer she got to the boat, the more she was realizing that she might just be done with Gem and his shenanigans. My boyfriend suddenly turned in to an asshole and I'm not sure what to do about it. She blurted out, stopping in shock as she realized she said that out loud. Nice boat. I'm surprised to see it out so early though. It's freezing out here.

He approached the little door on the boat and swung it open, grinning and holding a hand out to her inviting her on board, "Why don't you join me?" After everything had settled, he nodded slowly and looked at her, "So tell me more about this boyfriend. What'd he do?"

Dani climbed on to the boat beside the stranger, though she vaguely recognized him from somewhere. Maybe a picture or something. Thanks...and he just...he's gotten real mean lately. He used to be the school man hoe, but we made it official before christmas. Dani started, inwardly disturbed that she was just spilling her guts to this dude. But I told him a couple days ago that I wanted to find my biological dad and now we're fighting about everything. He even got ticked off because I've been letting a girl in my hall heal me when I get banged up at Gardner because it "isn't natural". His dad is like 95 and looks 23, but Healing is out of the question. She would've kept on ranting if the light glinting on the water's surface hadn't distracted her briefly, giving her a minute to calm down.

Raising his eye brows, he pulled the pontoon away from the dock and headed for open water. When she mentioned being healed by someone in her hall, he wondered if she might have been friends with his sister, but decided it would be better not to ask. Amy wasn't what they were talking about right now, "Wait..." He said, pushing the boat into idle, "You mean to tell me a guy livin' at a school meant for kids with literal super power is turning his nose away from something on account it ain't natural?" He said, his tone completely balanced between confused and judgmental.

Pretty much. Like I don't get it either. It's not like...i don't know, drugs or even medicine. Rolling her eyes, Dani turned to look at the guy driving the boat again. Staring of in to the water didn't sound like an amazingly fun plan for the entire trip. I don't know. Some times I think he's super weird about powers because his is so...subtle? I mean he's got fast reflexes. Big deal. That or he just doesn't want to admit that he hates being my boyfriend and is going to make us both miserable until I cave and break up with him. There, she said it. Sooner or later, but probably sooner, he was going to do something stupid that she couldn't ignore, then she'd be back at step on, just like it was before LA.

Taze made a face like he was a little disturbed as he sat down on one of the many seats that were along the edge of the boat, "And this guy is..." Her frowned, "Wait so..." He couldn't quite wrap his head around it, and being as blunt as he was, he tried to hold his tongue. It's not like the girl really had much of a choice in telling him all this...But then he was just so curious, "Why would you date someone who hates datin' you? Datin' should be fun." |

I don't think he hates it as much as he says. His last real girl messed him up a lot. Dani wasn't even really looking at taze, focusing on the water while she talked and trying not to think about those days. Back when Gem really started to get bad. It was a lot more fun when he thought he could still screw around, like it was okay to be my guy during the day and to spend the nights with me, but after he was done with his conquest. Super weird.
