APPEARANCE DESCRIPTION	Val pretty much wears whatever she feels like at any given time. She's all over the fashion spectrum so you can't really pin her down anywhere. Since her family is well off, she gets the occasional expensive gift, whether it be clothing or jewelry, so she's amassed quite a stash of that for any parties or the like. She's not a huge fan of super bright colors for her clothes, mostly sticking to neutrals, aka black and greys. During the winter months she's an avid beanie wearer, cause who has bad hair days when wearing a beanie? Other than that, due to her sheltered upbringing, Val doesn't have any tattoos or crazy piercings. Just her first and second holes on both ears.

PERSONALITY DESCRIPTION	Valentina was a very, very sheltered child. She grew up with extremely protective parents who put limits on almost everything in her life. They knew she would eventually manifest her power much like they did, and they wanted to limit the exposure Val would have when her power did emerge. Therefore she was kept at home for the most part, only leaving when Madam Ariel took her out on little field trips. Therefore ever since coming to Ashford and getting a taste for the real world, Valentina is curious about everything. Yet at the same time, her telepathy power makes her nervous and puts a limit on how much she throws herself out into the world. She still is pretty open to trying new experiences and believes in trying everything at least once. Val is a little socially awkward, she often says the wrong things at the wrong time, just popping out whatever comes to mind. It doesn't help that she'll answer to someone's though out loud if she happens to accidentally brush them. She has a hard time making friends because growing up, it was just her and Madam Ariel. Val never really had any friends and doesn't really know how to go about making them. She's very honest though and wouldn't mind having friends that she can be herself with, it's just difficult for her to start a friendship. She never got that training growing up so it's kinda like, 'I'm gonna be myself and whoever likes me will eventually find me.' She does fairly well in school due to her parent high standards and expectations. She doesn't cause trouble and is usually the quiet kid at the back of the room.

POWER	Telepathy
POWER DESCRIPTION	Valentina is a telepathic, which means that she can pretty much hear other's thoughts and reply back to them through her own thoughts. The only glitch about her power is that in order for it to work, she has to be physically touching the person. Valentina doesnt just hear everyones thoughts all at once, though she has the capability for that. At her current power level, she requires a focal point in order to focus on. Hence the physical touching. If she's physically in contact with someone, she has full access to any though that's freely flowing through their brain at the current moment. This does not give her access to past memories or secrets that are kept hidden. She can only read what the person is currently thinking. She has the ability to read minds without physical contact but it's very taxing and often leaves her with massive migraines. If she did attempt to read the mind of someone without contact, it's easier if she's already interacted with the person previously. Trying to read a complete stranger with no point of physical contact is near impossible for Val. On another note, Valentina can only read someones thoughts effortlessly if she remains in contact with them. For example, if she's resting her hand on someone's arm, she can read their current thoughts, but as soon as she or the other person breaks physical contact, she loses connection and can no longer read them. Valentina is very sensitive to loud thoughts though. If someone was per say, screaming a thought in their head, Valentina will react like she heard something though she might not have been able to make out what they were saying. Her powers aren't all knowing, she doesnt know what everyone is thinking at every second of the day. She may be capable of that level of power in the future but her abilities are limited currently.

CHARACTER HISTORY

Ever since meeting when they were 19 at Ashford Academy, Arthur and Camille knew they were destined to be together. They got along better than most couples, each one understanding the other with a weird sort of second sense. The fact that they were both pyrokinetics helped as well, giving them a basic common ground to build a relationship on. When they got married years later, the couple always believed that they would be a single child family, knowing that since they both worked demanding jobs since leaving Ashford, having more than one child would be unfair for everyone. Multiple children would require more attention, and that was something that neither Arthur or Camille could afford. Therefore, Valentina is the only child of Arthur and Camille Woodsen. Camille took off a few months from work when Valentina was first born, spending all of her time with the new baby. But she couldn't take off work forever, and eventually Camille had to return to her career and hired baby Valentina a nanny to watch over her while Camille and Arthur were at work. Madam Ariel became like a second mother to Valentina, raising her like one of her own babies. Valentina had a very sheltered life growing up. Her parents were very strict as far as what she could and could not do, and she always was accompanied by Madam Ariel wherever she went. Which made it a little difficult for Val to make friends as a child. I mean who wants to hang out with a girl who constantly has an older woman hanging around her 24/7? Therefore Val had little to no friends throughout her childhood, but that was okay with her, she had Madam Ariel to play with. Life went by pretty smoothly up until Val's 11th birthday, where her power emerged at last. Valentina started getting horrible migraines almost daily. It got worse until the point where she was bed ridden for almost two weeks. Towards the end of those two weeks, Valentina started experiencing weird moments whenever someone reached out to touch her. She could heard what they were saying yet when she replied back and asked the person what they meant, the people just reacted with surprise and confusion. After all Valentina was hearing their thoughts when they touched her, which is something not many people are used to. It took a while for Valentina's parents to realize what was going on. They expected Val to have inherited a power similar to theirs but instead Valentina's power came out of no where. Of course since her parents were merely waiting for her power to manifest, it was always emphasized that Val would attend Ashford much like her parents did. Both her mother and father are Ashford alumni and always intended any of their children with powers to attend the school. When Val's parents finally figured out the source of Valentina's migraines, they immediately enrolled her in Ashford. By the time she turned 13, Val was beginning life at her new boarding school in Calloway, Wyoming, miles away from her sunny home town of Tampa, Florida. To say it was a big change would be a complete understatement. After growing up with a nanny around to constantly help with anything and everything, suddenly Val was alone in a new school with only herself to rely on. Her powers made the transition even more difficult. She avoided people at all costs, trying her best to steer clear of touching anyone and everyone. At the beginning just using her powers gave her headaches and Valentina was desperate to stop the migraines. her new powers and life was causing Valentina to question everything she's ever held close. It took some time, but eventually Val settled into life at Ashford, realizing that no matter what she did, she was still going to be stuck in the Academy until she graduated and no amount of begging would make her parents bring her home. Her powers settled down as she grew, allowing her to gain a better control of them as well. Currently Valentina intendeds to master her powers and graduate from Ashford University.
