APPEARANCE | Daniel is rather tall, standing at five feet, twelve inches, and a body to match. He is physically built, lying somewhere between the lines of muscled and slightly bulky. His eyes are a translucent blue, a trait that only he, his father, and his grandfather share. Clothing wise Daniel prefers to wear garments that are more fitted for the warmer seasons rather than the colder. He favors shorts, t-shirts, and running shoes over pants, coats, etc. He isn't one to follow the current fashion trend, and is more comfortable in clothing made for athletes in comparison to those made for fashion critics. PERSONALITY | Daniel enjoys having fun, which mostly includes telling jokes, playing pranks, and just over all laughing and having a good time with friends. He isn't particularly serious, but he knows when to stay silent when important and dire situations arise. He has an unrivaled love for motion, and can be commonly seen outside doing some form of physical activity. His most preferred choice of athletics include soccer and running, however he is known to take part in other hobbies such as weight lifting, baseball, and various other sports outside his main interest. Daniel is also hard to anger, preferring to give a smile over a frown on nearly any given day of the week. However, there are certain things that annoy or anger him, especially when it comes to his heritage and where he is from. He also has a distaste for cheaters, rather it be in the classroom or on the field. He disapproves of performance enhancers, also known as steroids, and absolutely refuses to work with or play against someone who uses or has used them, despite if it is officially against the rules or not. He is impatient, the saying that good things come to those who wait having little to not meaning towards him at all, as he prefers things to be done quick and efficiently. In school Daniel isn't the best student, but he is certainly far from the worst. Besides lunch or gym, Daniel has a love for science. He finds questioning the universe and how things work to be a common occurrence in his head, and is more than thrilled to put in work to find the answer. In comparison to his best academic subject, his worst is English- more specifically literature and the basics of the English language due to being raised in a strictly Spanish speaking home. |

SOMEBODY THAT I USED TO KNOW
HISTORY | Daniel Guillermo García Rodríguez was born to a retired Spanish Football player and Law Firm Business Advisor in Madrid, Spain on May 15th, at 7:35 am. The day of his birth was the same day as a widely celebrated holiday for the country's capital, and as such it was a given sign that the child was something out of the ordinary. Daniel grew up in a rather wealthy home, his parents rarely being present in his life, but enough so that the boy was still able to know and love them. His mother, who was home more frequently than her counterpart, usually took care of him, especially in his younger years of life, and when she was away he was left to be cared for by his parent's hired servants and workers. When Daniel only claimed one year of life to his soul, Mariana Ivanna García Rodríguez, his younger sister, was presented to the Earth alongside him. Despite the small gap between their age, it took only a few years for Daniel's parents to know that the two were growing to be polar opposites. While Daniel took a love to activity and being outdoors, Mariana took an interest in learning and hiding away within the large confinements of her parent's abode. As a result, Daniel's father began to coach the young boy in his family's most well-known and successful sport when he was only four, and even began taking him to meet various national soccer players that he managed during national events. When Daniel was no older than six, he began showing immense natural talent in the sport just as his father had, and was introduced to his mothers's sisters's children; Santiago Dario Rodríguez Sánchez, Cristian Rodrigo Rodríguez Sánchez, and Valentina Constanza Rodríguez Sánchez. The three boys took a quick liking towards one another, while Daniel found himself slightly repulsed by his younger, female cousin Valentina. Upon their first meeting, she expressed a more shy and observant personality, unlike her brothers who were more eager to play and talk with Daniel. Their relationship only continued to strain with the added teasing and remarks of their parents, causing Daniel to actively separate himself from the girls in exchange for more time with the males, who he could more so relate to. The rare and infrequent practices that were once between only Daniel and his father became something that was now shared with Santiago and Cristian, a change the young super powered being enjoyed a majority of the time. On April 13th, during Daniel's and Cristian's thirteenth double birthday party, his powers first emerged. He was seated in the kitchen with his mother and their hired personal chefs, and like a majority of children and young teens, Daniel's main attention had been directed to the array of different foods that were being prepared for the celebration. It was during all of the surrounding commotion that Daniel's aunt pulled him in for a surprise hug, and took notice of the unnatural rise of temperature in the surrounding air. Passing it off as a slight fever, his temperature was taken, only to find that he was perfectly fine, resting at the average 37 degrees(98.6 F.) It wasn't until later into the night that Daniel himself began to worry, when the rapidly rising and falling air that stalked him began to become irritating. In an attempt to fix the issue, he decided to soak in a tub water, only to find that after a few minutes of entering, the water's temperature quickly began to escalate to the point that he had to withdraw from the bath entirely. After notifying his father of the strange occurrence, it was passed off as a plumbing issue, until the entire bathroom's temperature took a sudden rise upwards. Once the night was completely ended, and Daniel was sent to bed, he began to notice another change in his environment, this time with his bed sheets temperature as it had dropped by a staggering twelve degrees in a matter of seconds. The suspicion was rose to Daniel, and in the following morning a doctor was called. After numerous tests, scans, and x-rays, he was deemed completely fine, which prompted his parents to have the heating and cooling systems of their house checked. After the evaluation deemed everything to be working properly as well, it wasn't until a month later and Daniel's true birthday passed that his parents were informed by the head of Ashford that he was a SPB. At first his parents refused to believe such claims, and stated that even if what was claimed was true, they weren't willing to send Daniel off to a different country at such an influential and young age. An agreement was eventually settled, and within the next two years Daniel participated in the U-17 World Cup representing Spain when he was fifteen. He then met his father's brother's cousin- who he still has yet to accept, before enrolling at Ashford another two years later when he obtained the proper visa and more advanced English speaking skills. |

POWER DESCRIPTION | Daniel's power of thermal manipulation allows him to control the temperature of nearly any physical matter to a certain degree. He is both able to heat and cool objects at will by manipulating them on a microscopic level. Heating wise, Daniel is able to increase the temperature of an object by 142 degrees Fahrenheit (61.1 degrees Celsius) higher than its current temperature. However, as with every ability, there are certain limitations. Daniel is not able to cause an item to exceed the temperature of the boiling point of water, and attempting to do so will result in failure. If an item is already at 212 degrees Fahrenheit (100 degrees Celsius), then his powers are rendered useless. Along with being able to heat things past its current temperature, Daniel is also able to make things cooler. His powers allow him to cool nearly any physical form of matter by 100 degrees Fahrenheit (37.8 degrees Celsius.) However, just like the other side of his abilities, Daniel has a limit. He is unable to exceed -30 degrees Fahrenheit (-34.4 degrees Celsius.) Daniel's abilities are able to affect items that are within his line of sight away from him in a circumference of 300 feet (91.44 meters.)However, the larger the object, the easier it is to focus and affect, while the smaller the object the harder it is for him to see, thus focus on. His current temporal limit for manipulating an objects temperature is several hours before extreme fatigue. |
