APPEARANCE | Vincent Troy has never been one to gussy up or put on a show. He'll always try to get away with his comfort clothes! This laid back teen's style could easily be labeled as "grunge-esque." He'll happily model his newest set of flannel shirts for you. One could find mostly all plaid color combinations in his closet. Black and white, blue and black, blue and green, the list is infinite. Most could agree Carmichael could use some new pairs of jeans. Worn, tattered, and some being stained with paint splotches, they are long past their former glory. His shoes are nothing to gape at slack-jawed. The signature black and white Converse shoes. While not shoving his savings into accessories, he has a small collection of rings and leather bracelets. On your average day, he has a plain silver ring resting on his right index finger. All black headphones often rest loosely around his neck as he loves to jam out to some tunes while sketching. Winter months are not any different, if anything, he'll bust out some of his denim jackets and sport those out. He currently has no tattoos and has a medium sized scar on the middle of his left palm, a burn. Having an ectomorph build, Vincent is well-defined in muscularity as he is big on eating well and occasionally taking it to the gym. He walks elegantly at 6'1" |

PET PEEVES | Being rushed, disorganization, those who double dip, things in his room being moved from their "designated" spots, anyone who waltzes into his room with their shoes on (he has slippers placed orderly by the door for a reason) |
PERSONALITY | A kid who was forced to grow up all too fast when his father passed on in a car accident, and his mother suffering in the hospital, lying there in a vegetative state, Vincent is beyond his years in maturity. He could hardly be interested in the latest couple, or what Regina had worn to the party last week and is focused on his future. Family-oriented, it's no secret how much he loves and cares for his family, and they will always come before anyone else. He has simple ambitions for the future - get married, have a family, and enjoy the company of his loved ones till the day he dies. Family (or anyone that feels so close to the point of family,) is first and foremost in his mind. Neat to the point of it being frightening, an easy way to crawl under Vincent's skin is to mess up the paper's neatly stacked on his shipshape desk or move his toothbrush an inch from where it's "supposed" to be. He takes organization seriously, and one cannot deny its done nothing but benefit him in his life. Need to quickly scavenge for the essay due today that was assigned three weeks ago? He can pluck it out within mere seconds from his filing cabinet. And yes, he does have a filing cabinet in his room. While it can make Vince difficult to handle at times, people have found it useful. One look at their dorm room and he's in there pronto with his cleaning utensils. Being left home alone when he was younger with his even younger sisters, Vincent was the one that needed to take charge. Providing them with food (a reason he's a damn well chef today,) and overall taking care for them, he developed a strong (maybe too strong,) sense of protection those younger than him, or remotely close to him. He always seems to have a watchful eye on them and gets easily (and usually unnecessarily,) worried quickly. Carmichael is a hushed teen, mystery hanging around him like a cloud. Most take it as cool arrogance, but it's not the case. Nor is he timid and meek, but merely chooses to observe others than continuously initiate or partake in conversation, and normally only speaks to others when prompt. Vincent can get surprisingly awkward when presented with affection, and overall physical contact. When his ability first appeared, like some other SPB's, not having any knowledge of the gift, he hurt someone. His power relies heavily on touch, and ultimately, he's terrified of hurting someone else, part of the reason he's so detached now. A loyal, trustworthy, yet distant friend, Vincent is content just being in a friend's presence, and often loiters around them, drawing or painting without needing conversation, just basking in each others company. He values true friends over quantity, only having a few close chums. |
THE HOUSE THAT BUILT ME

SOMEBODY THAT I USED TO KNOW
HISTORY | Rain Marie Carmichael was in utter shock as she went into labor a week early, her husband, Reggie, away on a fishing trip with his father. Luckily, Karen Carmichael, Rain's mother-in-law was all too ready to lend a helping hand. Vincent Troy Carmichael was born on a chilly January night. For three years it was only Vince and his parents. The family was close, and his life was a healthy, safe, and happy one as he grew and played. By the time he was three, Rain introduced a new human being into the world, his sister Naomi. With the addition to the family, they continued to bond as Vincent led a normal childhood. New siblings would be brought him over the years, Rachael, Opal, Terra, and lastly, Kimmy. One would think he'd be upset without a rowdy little brother to antagonize and play with, but in reality, he loved and cared for his each and every one of his sisters. He'd have them over a messy brother any day. Kimmy would have the least memories of her parents, as they passed on when she was at such a young, tender age, Vincent himself being twelve. The couple had been on their way home from a vacation as the children stayed with their grandparents. Before they could get home, they met head on with an intoxicated driver. Reggie passed on in the collision, while Vincent's mother would fall into a coma, only to wake up later in a vegetative state. It wasn't long until the crew moved in with their grandparents. With their father gone, and a mother who couldn't provide in the slightest, the family began to slowly drown in hospital fees. His grandparents weren't home as often, working as much as they could. At the age of twelve, Vincent's life had been turned upside down. Responsibility felt heavy on his shoulders as he tended to his younger sisters. However, a part of him is thankful for that time. The bonds he has now with his sisters is unbreakable. Things changed as he hit his thirteenth birthday, puberty rearing its head. A confusing time already, it wasn't long before Vincent found some sort of liquid dripping down from his fingertips and eating away at the floor. He kept it secret for a few months, yet one day, as he played with his sister, Naomi, the teen experienced extreme rage, all thanks to his sister taking a bratty tone that day. Soon, Vincent found himself clasping his sister's hand, only to have his acid corrode it. Naomi, nor the rest of his family does not remember how this occurred, and they believe it was something she was born with. A faculty member from Ashford had appeared soon after the incident, and memories had been altered. Still holding guilt over the situation, he does not talk about it openly. Either way, it wasn't long before he, like a common SPB child, was sent off to the academy. Here, he has been studying hard, hoping to enter into a decent career field and to return to his family. Vincent's years at Ashford have been uneventful, and secretly, the seventeen year old is praying something worthwhile happens this year. He yearns for something, someone, to disrupt his dull days at school. |
ALL THE SMALL THINGS
POWER | Acid Generation |
POWER DESCRIPTION | Vincent was handed the ability of Acidic Generation. He can generate acid and manipulate just how corrosive that very acid is as it secrets from his hand. He can cause a slightly burning sensation or burning through tough materials. Like many of the teens attending Ashford, Vincent can really struggle at times from keeping it from going completely haywire, or doing something he had no intention of playing out in the first place. The more acid he secretes, the likelihood of accidents rises as he exhausts from the usage, fainting from producing too much acid at once is common, or after excessive usage. More than a couple times a day. There have been times, when he experiences intense emotion, that acid drops from his fingertips unknowingly, not of his will. While Vincent has vast control over the strength of his acid, entering the stage of fatigue, it ultimately starts to become weaker. |
SPECIAL ITEMS | Vincent does not have any special items other than your basic electronics. He does, however, have a picture of his sisters tucked in his wallet, one he looks at often. |
