Ralph's powers are actually that of Animal Morphing but he has yet to actually fully morph so it seems like its mere mimicry. Currently his abilities mean he has heightened senses, sight, hearing and scent.He also is highly sensitive to emotions and feelings (you've guessed it, yes be can smell fear). His powers are in the process of development and he's soon going to do the full morph. He's obviously very hairy from the power and he's also got many Wolf like quirks for example he will fight to gain dominance and if you win he is submissive. He sleeps curled up and will chase a ball if thrown to him. Another note is that Ralph is a carnivore and he eats ten times more than any eighteen year old does, he won't eat vegetables willingly. Also he's not allowed to have raw meat even slightly under cooked because it risks making him feral. He's also stronger than most eighteen years old and fitter with sharper reflexes but he's fairly easy to defeat when necessary, tranquilizers work very well.

Ralph hadn't seen Raven after she'd dissappeared for two weeks and he was definitely missing his best friend. He also felt like he'd let Raven down by not finding her sooner and not being there with her. That's why he shot her a text and asked her if she wanted to meet up in the library. He knew she loved reading, so even if she didn't want to talk about whatever happened at least she could read and he could be there for company. It hadn't taken him long to put on some jeans, a shirt and to fix his hair before he went into the library, when he thought about it Him and Raven had spent a lot of time in the library, usually just talking and sometimes if one of them was studying the other would just be there as silent company. Ashford Academy Library had some great memories for Ralph, mainly those with Raven. Ralph found a quiet part of the library, settling himself down onto one of the couches as he waited for Raven to come. THE SIMPLER THE COMMAND THE EASIER IT IS TO CONTROL THE ANIMALS. RAVEN PREFERS TO JUST ASK THE ANIMAL IF THEY ARE WILLING TO DO SOMETHING RATHER THAN CONTROL THEM. It wasn't like that was a bad thing, it kept her active with the same routine. However it gave her plenty of time to be lost in her own mind. She didn't like that part. Raven knew she needed to talk to someone about what was going on but she still couldn't bring herself to say anything really. It was overly frustrating. She couldn't talk to her brother about her past since he wouldn't really understand and she didn't want to burden someone else with her problems. Everyone had something to worry about she didn't want to become one of those. However, the more she kept everything in the more she lashed out, and acted well like her family. That was the one things she swore she would never do, was be like them. And it was what she was turning into.
So when she saw the text from her best friend a smile lit up on her face. She hated not contacting him the moment she got back but things were just all over the place, with the whole room relocation and breaking things off with Seth. Not to mention getting all her schoolwork caught up with. Raven didn't waste a moment getting together and heading towards the library. She had spent many hours there and her favorite ones were spent with her best friend. Ralph was always a great support in her life. She really missed him. She remembered when she first met him and loving the whole animal aspect of his ability from the start. She walked into the library. It didn't take long for her to find him lounging in one of the couches. "Ralph!" She said with a large smile as she walked over to him, making sure to keep her voice somewhat down.

Ralph was also lost in his own thoughts, thoughts of his best friend, Gem, Dani and all the other people that he had grown close to while here at Ashford. It wasn't like he was reclusive or withdrawn before just not as social and generally making friends wasn't easy. They were his closest friends up until a point and suddenly it felt like everyone had just dissappeared. He hadn't seen anyone for a long time and simply spending time with them hadn't happened in a long time either. Ralph didn't like not being surrounded people he was after all half wolf and wolves were definitely pack animals. Those that he had grown close too were part of his own little pack whether they liked it or not.
His best friend understood it, she was after all the only one that actually communicates with the Wolf side of him. It was almost like the universe deliberately threw the animal manipulator and the animal Morpher together to become best friends. Of course Ralph heard Raven approach long before she was actually in the Library and then he caught her scent as she approached. A huge smile broke out in his face as he walked over to the girl and pulled her into a fierce hug, he had missed her dearly and he hugged her tight not really wanting to let go. When he finally pulled away, he gave her a quick once over she looked good or better than he expected given everything that occurred. "I've missed you baby bird." Ralph said with a big smile on face. "I have something for you."

She hugged him back tightly, instantly feeling better. She didn't really want him to let go but accepted it anyway. She looked at her best friend knowing the right things to say back in the situation but she couldn't. Raven could feel the tightness in her chest getting worse and her hands starting to shake slightly. "Sorry" Was all she could manage. She still had a smile but she did fell bad for not telling Ralph what was going on and being overly distant. She knew how important his friends were to him and how he viewed everyone as part of his pack. She felt bad for causing any problems. Raven looked down at her feet for a moment before looking back up at Ralph when he mentioned having something for her. She gave him a quizzical look. "You didn't have to do that" She said as she tilted her head slightly. She was always looking up at Ralph because of his height. Not that she minded, it did make her feel small next to him at times, but also safe at others. She figured it depended on the situation. Ralph could see Raven's hands begin to shake and he took both of Raven's hands in his. "Don't apologize." Ralph said giving her an encouraging smile. He understood Raven wanting to get away from the Drama, both her own internal Drama and that of her friends including himself. He wasn't upset about her being distant either just really concerned for his best friend, "You know if you ever want to talk I'm an excellent listener." Ralph said. It was an open invitation and he said it so that Raven didn't feel pressurized into talking to him if she didn't want to. Ralph smiled at her quizzical look, she looked a little like a lost puppy and it amused him. He slung his arm over Raven's shoulders, her shorter height made it an easy task. "I just saw it and thought of you." Ralph said. He walked back over to where he was sat, where he'd left his bag and shuffled through it to retrieve a small box. She really missed the little moments like this. He always knew how to make her feel better. It really was the best part of having Ralph as a friend. "Thanks" She was glad he never tried to make her say what was going on. As silly as she found not talking about everything going on in her head she never had the courage to do so. "I do need to talk soon though. Apparently keeping everything in causes laps in judgement and makes people disappear for weeks on end" She was half joking. Part of the main reason for her taking off was just that that night with her drunk roommate was the last straw that broke her. She took a seat down on the couch, leaving enough room for Ralph to also sit down as she played with the box in her hand curious as to what was inside. Ralph was glad the shaking had stopped, he could still sense that she still wasn't feeling all the way better. A little better was good though. "I'm sorry. I guess I've had a lot of stuff to work out too." Ralph apologized to her half joking, he had vanished and he honestly felt bad for not being there. "Well as I've said before I'm a great listener so whenever your ready." he added. He could be there for her now if he couldn't earlier. Ralph sat down next to Raven as she played with the box. Not everything needed an answer and some statements were best left open ended. Raven focused on the box and opened it. She pulled out the pendant with a large smile forming on her face. She traced over the snake around the key. It was quite beautiful. "Thank you! I love it!" She exclaimed. Raven gave Ralph a quick hug before looking over the pendant more. She had a couple chains at home to make it into a necklace that or she could make it into a bookmark. She did need a new one of those. That way she would always use it. Raven figured that was the best use for it. She instinctively leaned in closer to Ralph. She always felt better when around him and it just seemed right. She was too focused on the gift to really notice that she was resting her head on his shoulder. Ralph didn't need an answer, he never needed one.The beauty of their friendship is that they never needed to answer one another unless they wanted to. In fact him and Raven could sit in silence and still be best friends. He watched as she opened the box and he hugged her back when she hugged him. "I saw it and thought of you...and Onyx." Ralph said with a laugh. It reminded him of Raven for other reasons than just the snake. It was the fact that it was so simple yet so complex all at once, just like Raven was and he loved her for it. He smiled when she rested her head on his shoulder, he brought his arms around her and pulled her closer to him. He couldn't describe why but she fit just so well into his arms, it just felt right to be holding her like she belonged there. "Raven, you're probably my favourite little bird in the world." Ralph said resting his chin on top of her head, he was glad to have his friend back.

CONTROLLING IS A BIT DIFFERENT. IT ISN'T A SPOKEN COMMAND IT IS MORE OF A MENTAL ONE. IT TAKES TOTAL CONCENTRATION AND SHE CAN'T CONTROL AN ANIMAL FOR MORE THAN AN HOUR, NOT THAT SHE WANTS TO. ANY LONGER AND IT CAUSES MASSIVE HEADACHES, NOSE BLEEDS AND IN SOME CASES SHE WILL PASS OUT BUT THAT DOESN'T HAPPEN TILL THE TWO HOUR MARK. THE SIMPLER THE COMMAND THE EASIER IT IS TO CONTROL THE ANIMALS. RAVEN PREFERS TO JUST ASK THE ANIMAL IF THEY ARE WILLING TO DO SOMETHING RATHER THAN CONTROL THEM. IF HER CONCENTRATION IS BROKEN SHE LOOSES CONTROL.

That was the part she liked best about being around Ralph, she didn't have to be nervous or put up an act. She was just her. Raven liked that part the most about their relationship. She always had to put up an act but here, she could just be herself. It was nice. She chuckled when he said she was his favorite bird. "So that means there are other 'little birds in your life'. Should I be concerned" She teased. Raven knew she really had nothing to worry about their friendship.
"So I might go back home this upcoming break, there are a couple annual events that the family attends but I haven't been in a few years. Sal, Rich, thinks it would be a good idea" Raven stated out of the blue. She never wanted to be around her family but her brother said there were some important matters to attend to before she made any rash decisions. After the whole New York thing and him telling her that on the way back, she started to think it might be a good idea. That didn't make it any less nerve-racking. She needed to face her past though and get past everything that did happen. Ralph's powers are actually that of Animal Morphing but he has yet to actually fully morph so it seems like its mere mimicry. Currently his abilities mean he has heightened senses, sight, hearing and scent.He also is highly sensitive to emotions and feelings (you've guessed it, yes be can smell fear). His powers are in the process of development and he's soon going to do the full morph. He's obviously very hairy from the power and he's also got many Wolf like quirks for example he will fight to gain dominance and if you win he is submissive. He sleeps curled up and will chase a ball if thrown to him. Another note is that Ralph is a carnivore and he eats ten times more than any eighteen year old does, he won't eat vegetables willingly. Also he's not allowed to have raw meat even slightly under cooked because it risks making him feral. He's also stronger than most eighteen years old and fitter with sharper reflexes but he's fairly easy to defeat when necessary, tranquilizers work very well.

Ralph always liked the fact that Raven didn't feel the need to put up a front for him and the same went for him. Raven had seen him at his best and at his most vulnerable whether his Wolf side liked it or not. "Just a little Robin that sits in the tree across from my dorm, but he's jealous because he wants you all to himself." Ralph teased back. There was in fact a Robin that was usually in the tree across from his window, it always started to sing early in the morning. He would just lay there and listen to its sound wondering what he was singing about.
Ralph sat up a little but kept his arms around Raven. "Thats good right." Ralph said with an encouraging tone. He knew that things between Raven and her family weren't great and if she was going home it was a big step for her. "You need company? " Ralph asked his hand subconsciously rubbing gentle circles on the girls back. Going home would be good for Raven it will help her take steps forward and move on.

She thought about his question. She had finally convinced herself that it was a good thing. Even if she was just going to just to see her mothers reaction when she realized that she had no control over her daughter, that was all she needed. Maybe she needed it more for herself than anything. Her family was the cause for many of her issues and facing them wouldn't make those go away but it would allow Raven to face her fears and fully move on. "It will be a good thing" She finally said.
She felt really relaxed with Ralph rubbing her back that she almost forgot what he other question was. "Not sure yet. But I will let you know" Company would be nice but she didn't know if that would be too much for this trip. "I do know that I want to get that tattoo before going" She smiled "We should do that today before anything else crazy happens" She suddenly jumped up excited by the whole thing. "No but he looks at me like he's plotting my death." Ralph laughed. "Maybe you need it more than you realize." He didn't know exactly what went on between Raven and her family but he did know it left a ridge between Raven and those that should've been looking out for her. Something he could never understand. He had pack instincts and would protect the people he loved to the death so why a parent wouldn't didn't make any sense to him.
"Well you know where I am of you do." Ralph said about company. He'd understand if she decide she didn't want company it was already a big thing for her and that might make it a lot worse. Ralph was a little disappointed when Raven got up, he was rather enjoying the closeness even if he'd never admit it but his friends excitement was infectious and he sat up as well. "I'm all for it! Let's do this!." Ralph agreed standing up and offering his hand to help her up.

She wanted the tattoo to stretch from her right shoulder to her neck so needed to wear a shirt that didn't cover that area. She had a few of those so it wasn't that big of a deal. She figured she would just go to the tattoo parlor in Yellowstone. She had heard some good things from there and didn't really want to go too far for a tattoo. "Car is parked near the dorm anyway" She said with a smile as she stood.
Raven was really excited about getting the tattoo. It was the only thing on her bucket list that she could come up with. But considering everything that had happened in just the past few months she really didn't need the whole bucket list thing. Her life was already starting to become interesting. "Lets go" She said pointing to the exit as if they were going on a grand quest, her hand still in his. Ralph smiled at Raven as she stood. "Yeah sure." he didn't mind waiting for Raven to change. He himself didn't feel the need to change so he'd wait outside her dorm. He didn't mind going to the Yellowstone Tattoo place either, he hadn't heard anything bad from the parlour so it should be okay. "Okay."
His idea to help her have an interesting summer wasn't needed in the end, after all the drama Raven was involved in she must've had a super interesting summer. He chuckled at Raven pointing to the exit as if they were starting on a great journey. He didn't let go of her hand, in fact he liked holding it. "You know what you're getting done right?" he asked as they left the Library, he was merely curious since she wasn't sure when it had come up before.
