Liam was sitting on the tailgate of his truck waiting for Becca. He had gone on a temporary work detail in Montana for the last two weeks and was finally back. He was secretly hoping that she would remember he was coming back today, but he would never verbally admit something so effeminate. Looking at the ground, he started watching a clump of flowers grow out to give her. It wasn't untiil that moment that he wondered if flowers lost their effect if the girl knew he hadn't purchased them. He decided to dismiss the thought. It wasn't like Becca to care about that.

When you find everything you've looked for

Becca had been in the middle of doing an assignment whenever her phone alerted her that today was the day. Liam was finally coming home and she was beyond excited. Her new car couldn't drive fast enough, especially when she got close to the falls. He was never going to be allowed to leave her again, ever.

As soon as she could see him, she parked the car and jumped out, trying to contain her excitement. Liam! She practically squealed, throwing her arms around him in a tight embrace as soon as she was close enough. I missed you so much. Don't do that again, okay? He might not have been able to understand her words, muffled against his shirt. It didn't matter though. He was home.

When she pulled up, he jumped off the back on his truck and waited for her. Her hug, basically being a tackle, knocked the flowers from his hands but that didn't matter to him. He grinned brightly and wrapped his arms around her dainty waist, pulling her close, "Becca." He said in a low voice, burying his face in her hair. She smelled just the same as he remembered and it almost immediately made him calm. She had that effect on him, "I promise  won't. I have some news." He said, pulling away from her so that they could have a proper conversation."

Good. She grinned, letting go of him long enough to hop on the tailgate of his truck, her legs dangling down over the side. She was too short for this some times. As soon as she was settled in and wasn't worried about slipping off the edge, she reached out to grab his hand again, at least.I like news, as long as it's good. Then again, how could it be bad if it meant he wasn't going away anymore. Maybe he had found a full time job or something.

Grinning, he moved to help her sit on the tailgate of his truck, lifting her off the ground easily and setting her back down like she was fragile of precious, "Well, one of the guys on this last job..." He started, joining her on the tailgate, "...was talking about how much high school sucked and of course all the guys decided to start talking about the man and the system and all that reason why stupid people don't usually graduate from high school." He explained, "Then one guy, Beau was his name I think, said that he just got his GED and it was basically the same thing."

Liam had considered taking the GED before but had never actually gotten around to it, "After talking to him for a while, he signed me up for the nearest GED in the area." He whipped out a piece of simple looking paper, "I am a high school graduate!" He hoped she would be proud of him, since she knew how much he had a problem with authority in the classroom, "Want to help me apply to Ashford University?"

Good. She had listened quietly all the way through his story, up until he took the piece of paper our and showed it to her. A look of shock mixed with pride crossed her features as she stared at it. He had really went and got his GED. Liam, that's amazing! I mean, I knew you could do it in your sleep, but I'm still. This is great.

The part about college threw her for a little bit of a loop though. He hated classes, even if he was smarter than she was. Would he really be happy in that environment? Hopefully, at least college courses left a little more room for interpretation than high school did, so he'd get to voice his opinions more. Of course! If that's what you want, then let's do it. Like...well, not right this minute. But today. Alright, she was being a little selfish, but he had just gotten home. Besides, who wanted to be shacked up with the laptop writing an essay about why the university should let him in mid semester when it was so pretty outside in the autumn air.

Liam grinned and nodded, "Well of course not right now." He wrapped his arms around her and pulled her into a tight hug, "I think we should just lay out here for a while." Liam dragged her up into the bed of his truck with him and laid down so that they were looking up toward the sky. The sunshine was filtering through red and yellow leaves and there was a slight chill on the air threatening for winter to come down on them, like it was right on the brink of just being winter for the rest of forever. But he held on to that last bit of autumn. Liam didn't appreciate or like the winter months. Plants and winter never did get along too well. He leaned down and kissed the top of Rebecca's head, "I missed you, Becca." He sighed, holding her tightly.

Becca buried her head against his chest, listening to the rustling leaves and the rushing water not far away from them. It was the most relaxing thing in the world, next to Liam's heart beat. I missed you too. Seriously. Never again. I might just have to drop out and go with you. after all of the craziness back at the dorms with Rae, Gem, Dani, and even Aurora....she needed him. He was what made her happy and nice. Sure she tended to be the all American small town girl, but all of those seemed to have an awesome guy behind her and without hers...she was lost. Oh, Rae is back. I can't remember if I told you that or not. She just kinda showed up and things have been a little hectic ever since.

"Oh yeah?" He asked, watching her carefully like he didn't want to miss a second of her, "Do tell." Liam insisted, looking back up at the sky for a moment and thinking to himself how perfect that moment was.

Yea...she just kind of showed up, which is super awesome because without both of you for like that week and a half I almost died of boredom and loneliness.Her tone was dramatic, letting him know she was teasing as she tilted her head up to kiss him on the cheek. There were only so many times that she was going to legitimately tease him about leaving, because she knew he didn't like it any more than she did. Maybe they really should go fill out that application so that he didn't have to anymore. Anyways, so she's back for five minutes and falls in love with Gemini, right after he and Aurora rekindled their little feud. Of course, he has to start a real relationship for the first time since, well, me. Now Rae is a mess and all the wants is for Gem to realize he's in love with her and not his best friend. Being an older sister is rough. She wasn't sure if she should tell him what she had done yet or leave it alone. She wasn't in the habit of keeping him in the dark though, so she probably would sooner rather than later.

Liam raised his eye brows and shook his head, "Your relationship with you sister, though..." He sighed and looked down at her, expecting her to continue talking. When she didn't, he frowned a little, "And? What have you done for the Raelynn/Gemini effort?" She asked, knowing that this was something Rebecca wouldn't be able to just leave alone.

Becca looked away from Liam when he asked the dreaded question. He knew her way too well. "I'd tell you but you would judge me and I can only handle so many people thinkin I'm a bad person at once." She knew Liam though and she doubted that he was going to just let something like that go though. With her head still down and avoiding eye contact she mumbled put, " I sent dani a picture of them kissing on the lawn." Before burying her face in his chest.

Yep, there it was. He knew she couldn't have known about Raelynn's feelings, and been so close to Gemini, and not do anything for the cause, "Don't worry babe," He starting, putting his hand on top of her head and trying to sooth her, "I'm not gunna judge you." He smiled at Becca and leaned his cheek on top of her head.

I shouldn't have done it and I knew that...but Dani deserves to know right? Like...even if she's hurt it'll be better for her in the long run and then maybe, just maybe...Rae will be happy too. Ever since Rae had come in to her life, Becca felt guilty for being happy. Sure, her life wasn't picture perfect, but it was a good one and she had come to appreciate it. She had Liam and the rest of her family for starters, an awesome twin...yes, Rae deserved to be happy too. Hey babe...can we talk about something else. I don't want to ruin your day back with stupid drama.

Liam nodded, "It wasn't ruining my day." He insisted, but he did have other things he wanted to talk to her about, "So,what do you think of my whole college thing? I am wondering if it is a good idea considering the fact that I don't really care for the institution of education. But it would help me get a steady job and not have to travel so much."
