Running. Raelynn was bad at it. She hated running more than she hated being in the woods and that was a ton. But she did it anyway. Like maybe somehow running back home would keep her from crying like a giant, stupid baby in a pretty public place. It almost worked for her. In fact, it wasn't until she tripped over the stairs and stumbled on to the landing between the first and second floors that she really starting crying. And by the time she reached her door, the first one of the left, her body was shaking with full on sobs she could hardly control. She fumbled for the doorknob but couldn't find the keyhole through her blurry tears. Eventually she gave up, slamming her forehead against the hard wood of the door and yelling, "Becca!" As loud as she could. AND IF YOU GIVE ME WHAT I WANT

The math homework was threatening to eat her alive again whenever Becca heard frantic noises outside the door. Whoever it was, they didn't seem to be able to get in. Maybe it was the wrong room. Or that's what she thought until she heard Raelynn's voice coming through the door. Jumping out of her chair, she rushed over to the door and wrenched it open.Rae? Oh my god are you okay? Get in here. Wrapping her arms around Rae's shoulders, she drug her inside and walked over to the nearest bed, hers, to sit down. Rae what happened? It looked like her leg was bleeding and she was crying hard. Did she need a doctor? What was going on with her twin?

Oh honey.Becca whispered as the nature of the situation set in. Her poor little sister had gone and fallen in love, but it didn't seem like things were going well at all. If he doesn't love you already he's an idiot, but Rae... come on. Come tell me all about it and we'll work on it together. Part of her wanted to say that you couldn't make someone love you, but that wasn't going to help Rae right now. She needed advice and a shoulder to cry on. Between sobs Raelynn bit her lip and nodded, taking in deep, slow breaths and trying to calm down. This sucked, " Why would anyone ever WANT to feel this way?" She said, covering her face and laying back so she was sprawled across her sister's bed, " It's the worst thing I have ever felt and I was literally locked in a basement for eight years." She complained. Now is the time, stupid. Tell her... And so Raelynn began telling her sister about everything. How they met. How frustrating it was always being mistaken for Becca. At some point during Rae's story, Becca moved so that she was sitting at the head of the bed, her back against the wall. With every word, Becca became a little more frustrated by the situation. Out of all the guy sin the world, why did Rae have to fall for Gemini Cooper? It was bad enough that he was her ex, but he was also a playboy and an asshole. He'd hurt Rae worse than he had hurt her, and then she'd have to kill him. Before she could respond to anything, a bottle of water beside her exploded from her not watching her temper and her power at the same time. Luckily she caught it fast enough to keep anything from getting wet and just threw it down on top of a pile of dirty clothes. They needed washed anyways, right?
You don't get to choose who you love, but rae...be careful. I know how Gem appears to most people but he is destructive and cruel when things break down. Reaching over, she started running her hands through her twin's short hair. This was harder to explain than she though. I won't tell you to go or to not follow your heart, but if he hurts you... She left the threat unfinished, even though she meant it. No one was allowed to hurt her sister anymore, ever.

She wasn't crying anymore. But that feeling of puffy eyes made her face feel tight and it was one of the worst parts of crying. Turning to her side so she could face Rebecca, Raelynn propped her head up on her palm and frowned, " You say that, but I don't think he is cruel." Raelynn said, sighing, " An idiot. Impulsive. Selfish." She shook her head and smiled to herself, " He is those things. Even a little destructive. But I think it is mostly self destruction and it's not out of malice or cruelty." She looked at her twin sadly and nodded, it was like Raelynn almost understood him on a different level than the one Rebecca was describing and Rae wondered if it as because of her feelings or because she was the exact same way. I hope you are right, and you probably are. I've told him more than once that he belonged with you. Once on the night that they had watched movies together, then again whenever they had the accident. Even if he wasn't the kind of guy she wanted for her sister, Rae was the girl that was right for Gemini. What are you going to do now? I mean, he's dating someone now right? For the first time in like two years. That's pretty serious, even for Gem. But...hold on, I have an idea. Her mean girl streak was going to get the best of her, probably get her in trouble in more ways than one...but luckily for them both a friend of hers had been blowing up her phone wanting to know why she was kissing Gemini on Zellner lawn, complete with pictures. Dani was not going to be happy about this, and her little insecurity issues...yea, this was going to be bad. Maybe she wouldn't tell Rae exactly what she had just done.

Smiling at her twin, Becca locked the phone and set it back down on the table. Making things not so serious. All you need to know is I know the competition better than you do and I want you to be happy. So if this is what you want, then it's what I want for you. Even though the thought of Gemini cooper makes me gag and I hate him with a fiery passion. If she didn't love her twin so much, she'd probably just drown the guy and get it over with. Nothing. but. trouble. come on, let's rent a movie or something and get some ice cream. it'll make things better. I'll even let you drive my car. She didn't even know if Rae had a license or not, but oh well. it wasn't like they couldn't afford the ticket if she got pulled over.

She begged, looking at Rebecca with a pouty face, "My favorite twin will come with me right? We will buy the DJ and he will play OUR music and it will be SO MUCH FUN!" Raelynn paused for a moment, "I'll even give you my old fake ID!" She jumped out of the bed and raced across the room, pulling open a jewelry box. Inside there were fake IDs from various states. Well...Liam is still out of town, so might as well. Walking over to the closet, she started pulling out some of the nicer clothes she had bought since the last time Raelynn was in town. And for the record, I'm your only twin unless something really strange is going on. Finally settling on a navy polka dotted dress and a matching pair of high heels, she threw them on the bed to start going through her jewelry. RAE!!! We should do karaoke. Like right now. Hurry up. This had to be a thing, immediately. She never thought that she was a good singer, but she knew Rae was and it could be fun, just the two of them.

    Raelynn stood up like she was at attention, "Karaoke? Hell yes!" She ran across the room and leaned across her vanity, inspecting her completely destroyed make up, "Sweet god, Bex, why didn't you tell me I looked like a cast member from the Walking Dead?" She started to rub at the mascara stains beneath her eyes and down her cheeks. Her eye liner was smudged and barely there anymore, and her eyes were so red she would really need to remove all of her make up and start from complete scratch. She stepped into the bathroom and dug around in the medicine cabinet until he found the make-up remover. It didn't take long for her face to be perfect again, and glowing from the fresh crying fit.
Next item on the agenda, finding an outfit. There was a special place in Raelynn's closet, close to the back, where she kept all of those dresses and outfits that were specifically meant to break guys hearts. Tonight was a night to be chased and then turn the guy down after they provided the alcohol for the evening. She knew it and, ultimately, the guy would know it too. She pulled out a little black dress with a glitterly golden bust. She yanked out her matching Golden Louboutins and held it up for Rebecca's inspection, "Thoughts?" (click the clothes link)  |

Becca was happy that Rae had been too focused on her make up to hear the whole Gem debacle going on outside the door. That probably wouldn't have ended well and then she really would have had to drown the idiot. Some day, but not today. That is gorgeous. Maybe I should pick something a little more...flashy? I don't know. What do you think? Unlike Rae she wasn't going out to find a guy or anything like that. She had a perfectly good one here. All she wanted to do was spend some time with her sister, sing a little karaoke, and hopefully cheer Raelynn up a little bit. So far, so good...as long as Gem and Dani didn't show back up for round two.

Raelynn ducked into the bathroom again, with the intention of changing clothes. She slipped her feet into the sparkly golden boots and smoothed out the dress with the palms of her hands. When she started touching up her make-up again, Raelynn poked at her phone to turn on some music. She was swinging her hips to the beat of the music, humming along as she adjusted her eye liner and mascara. Her started to run a brush through her shorter blonde hair and made sure that it was straight and perfect before she exited the bathroom, swinging the door open dramatically like she was entering the catwalk or something.
Noticing what Becca was planning on wearing, Raelynn slumped a little bit, "Come on Bex! Glitter! We need all the glitter!" She demanded, tossing herself into her sister's closet without even asking for permission, "If you don't have glitter, I have plenty!"
