His ability works best through contact. He can negate others abilities if they are within three yards of him but it doesn't last very long and it takes more energy to do that. It is almost like a negating field. However if he is in contact with that person their powers are useless if he chooses. He can turn the power on and off at will. He can keep this up for a few hours. Granted he has to be touching the person. It does take energy to use the ability so if he is tiered or run down it doesn't work as well and sometimes not at all. If he uses it too long it can cause severe headaches and make him sick.

INNATE CAPABILITY |
For Addison, her ability was not difficult to master. The nature of Innate Capability is just that, after all. Mastering things. By watching things, Addison can learn how to do almost anything. For example, Addison became a successful and talents gymnast in her final year of middle school just by watching the Olympics.
There are a few limitations in this ability, making it less perfect than it sounds. Addison has to SEE something happen, be it in real life or in a video. In real life, she is limited based on distance, lighting, clarity, etc. If she is watching something in a video, there are many more reasons why something may not register including but not limited to camera angles changing too quickly, bad quality of video, movements too fast, video cutting away for artistic reasons, etc.

So obviously they take adorable pictures together as faces. I also think they could have a super interesting dynamic. Addison came to visit Calloway a lot as a kid but pretty much stopped when she went to college when she was fourteen. What if, as children they really didn't like each other? She was gawky and weird and annoying and he was...well...Richard? That would set them up to dislike each other when they are reunited as Graduate students at Ashford for the first time. The reason behind this set up, I think, is because I see them being one of those couples that starts as like a frenemy kind of thing. Like they swear they hate each other and fight all the time but would totally throw down for each other. And there is that whole, "Haven't seen each other since they stopped being teenagers and suddenly got hot" sort of thing.
So as for a thread idea, I think we should play them seeing each other for the first time in the dorm. They both live in Aldrich and Addi happens to live in the room just below Rich's. I'm not sure what he would be doing but what he was making a ton of noise doing it? Like maybe he's sleeping with someone or stopping around mad about something or arguing with Melanie about the wedding (that of course Addison hasn't heard about yet) and she gets mad and runs upstairs to confront her noisy upstairs neighbor?
We also sort of talked about Rich and Addi hooking up as a result of the mixed power of the Sin Inducer and Ecstasy Manipulator at the family dinner, which I think should be AFTER they have met the first time after her return.

Wow so many plot ideas lol. So I love the idea of them hating each other as kids and then growing to like each other but in total denial. It would be very interesting to play with. And the thread with the noise complaint would be great. I can see it being more like he was in an argument with either Mel or on the phone or something. That would give them more things to talk about during the dinner before the whole Scandal.
