 After the incident with Ralph, Dani made her way back in to the party so that she could find a quiet place to think. Sure, she felt a little bad that she had goaded him enough to unleash the wolf, but she meant every word she said. One of the rooms was completely empty with only the dim lights normally used during a movie flipped on. Climbing the stairs most of the way to the top, she found a section that had a half wall separating it from the rest of the theater. It looked like a special box of some sort. Once she was settled in, Dani used her jacket as a bit of a pillow, closing her eyes and trying to focus. It wasn't like she really cared, right? Ralph had left her and she was moving on tonight one way or the other. Either Seth was taking her home or she'd end up back at Gem's, but Ralph wasn't an option anymore. Not after tonight. |

This was going to be a party to remember. Everything was overwhelming. Not that it was a bad thing. The drinks, music and the people. It was nice, in its own way. She wasn't expecting to have to face the wolf tonight but that happened. Also so did an interesting conversation with the wolf. She figured Dani didn't hear her and she highly doubted Ralph would remember but it was quite interesting. She always thought Dani and Ralph were great together and she now had to bring them back together. It was a nearly impossible thing but she had full respect for animals and really wanted to see her two friends happy. The way for that to really happen was to bring them together. Animal relationships were so much easier to handle than people ones.
After making sure Ralph was alright she figured she should find Dani to check up on her. She didn't see her right away and decided to best way to find someone who didn't want to be found was to send Onyx. She let the snake loose and followed him to a more secluded part of the theater. She was a little nervous. What if Dani didn't want to talk with her because of the whole spending time with Ralph thing. She put the thought in the back of her mind and decided to see her friend. She walked over to where onyx had stopped and curled up. She thanked the snake and took a seat across from Dani, letting Onyx slither into her lap. "Hey, we need to talk" Her voice was kind as always but it had that underlining seriousness.

The black snake almost got kicked out of reflex when it came in to her line of sight, but then she remembered that Onyx was there as part of Raven's costume. That might not have been a good idea, even if it was a survival instinct. Raven would never have forgiven her if anything happened to the little guy. " Hey Onyx. I'm about to get invaded, aren't I?" Great, now she was talking to animals and they couldn't even respond to her. Maybe it was time to spend some time away from Raven for her own sanity. It didn't take long at all for the roommate in question to show up, possibly only seconds. " If your here to yell at me for goading ralph, the incident has been noted and it won't happen again. I won't be around him after tonight, even if I have to request alternative classes. It's not worth it." Whether she meant the heartache or the giant wolf, Dani wasn't sure. Still, the decision held. There was no way she could be around her ex person, possibly ever. |

Raven shook her head "No that is not why I am here" She had no intention of yelling or scolding. She thought what Dani did was justified. "You had every right to have reacted the way you did. And there is no need to go though all that hassle just to avoid someone" She really needed to hear Dani's side to see what work she had cut out for her. Sure she could say hey the wolf thinks you guys are mates so you know you should give him a chance. Yeah like that would work. No she had to make sure Ralph wasn't afraid of hurting anyone with the wolf and had to get Dani to forgive Ralph. This wasn't going to be easy.
"I want you you to tell me what is going on. I know we aren't really that close but you are my friend Dani and I care. Call it a birthday present. But I need to hear it from you" Raven was playing with Onyx with her hand as she focused on Dani. She didn't know how Dani would react to what she asked. Sure she wasn't expecting the girl to tell her everything but she really wanted to hear what was going on in her roommates mind.

I stayed with him for hours that first night and he didn't even let me walk him back to his dorm." Her hands were shaking slightly and for a moment she considered trying out the therapy pet thing. How did one go about asking to hold a snake to see if it would help calm them down? No, not the appropriate time. " It doesn't matter now. If he wants me gone, I'm gone. I can't do this anymore. I've never fallen for a guy like I did him, never made the first move, never held on so hard. And he just left like I was nothing. It's one thing to break up with someone, but this is ridiculous." There was no way she would ever be able to completely forgive him for this, not now. If he had loved her, the time to say so was long gone. |

She listened closely to Dani and realized that she needed to beat some manners into Ralph. She wasn't sure what to tell Dani now. "Why are human relationships so complicated" She didn't mean to say it out loud but it just came out. "I didn't mean that in a bad way. It is just confusing. Ralph still cares for you. I am not going to speak for him or say his actions were right" She couldn't say that. She knew that he was still worried but he could at least call her or something. She really could understand some aspects of it but she still didn't know exactly how her roommate felt. To finally trust someone like that and then be thrown away. She could only imagine even if she had a very good idea about it.
"You are absolutely right. But I can't help but wonder, even with all the hate and anguish that there still isn't that feeling that will not go away. Maybe it's the reason you are still angry" It was kind of risky to infer that she was angry because she was still in love with Ralph but It doesn't matter now. But she needed to hear it. "Do you want to hold him?" She was referring to Onyx. She noticed the girls hands shaking and wondered if maybe Onyx would be able to help her out. If anything it would help sooth over to a different topic.

Could she still be in love with him? The simple answer was yes, but that wasn't necessarily true either. How would Ralph, or Raven for that matter, react if they knew the truth? " Yea, if Onyx doesn't mind, that is." This was going to be harder than she realized, but maybe if Raven knew it would be better for everyone. " I could be, but I don't think I am. I told him that I was going to move on and I did. We aren't an official thing yet, but I know he loves me and he's the only person in the world I've ever been able to rely on." Petting the snake, Dani tried to find a way to say the last few words that would set the truth free. She'd made up her mind to put thing in motion tonight whenever she'd left Seth, much less after Ralph. All she needed was to calm down enough to go and do it. " Raven, I slept with Gem and I liked it." She whispered after a long minute, Onyx's cool scales giving her something to concentrate on more than the blush creeping up her cheeks. |

Onyx was slightly hesitant to move but Raven coaxed him into it. She really hoped he could help some and she figured she was right when Dani started telling her something interesting. Very interesting. Moving on was different from being over someone. Raven didn't believe Dani was truly over Ralph. The other thing did shock her. Dani and Gem? Them sleeping together was really going to throw her off. Unless that act was really just something simple. She analysed the situation in her head and was quiet for a moment.
"It makes sense" Raven said a little to seriously. She shook her head and smiled. "I mean you Love Gem that is obvious by how you worry about him. You were upset, needed someone to not leave you and he was there. You are always going to need him. I guess you will just have to figure out which type of Love you feel for Gem" She explained wondering if it made any sense. It was on Dani to figure it out but Raven was confident that it was just a friend love, a strong unbreakable bond, but still not one corresponding to the love of a mate. Well significant other.

Shaking her head, Dani tried to focus on the snake resting partially against her arm and partially in her lap. She didn't want to mess with Onyx too much, because that couldn't be comfortable. Not only was she stressed beyond belief, but she was a stranger too. " No, I think this has been a long time coming. I love Gem and this...it feels right. Every time I was around Ralph I had to worry about his instincts getting in the way of me being myself, but with Gem. It's different." That was it. if she hadn't been sure before, then she was now. She was going home with Gem tonight and that was the end of the discussion with herself on that matter. |

It wasn't exactly what Raven wanted to hear. She had her work cut out for her but she wasn't going to force information on Dani now. It would be too much and completely push her away. She would sound crazy anyway. No she needed to work with Ralph and then confront Dani. "Trust your heart" It was such a cliche thing to say but Raven meant every words. She could see Onyx glaring at her. The snake knew what the wolf had said and figured Raven would repeat it. "Do what feels right for you Dani. That is the only advice I can give. And I am sorry about all of this" She wasn't exactly apologizing for Ralph or anything like that. She was just apologizing in general for how insane everything had been lately.

Dont worry about it Raven. For the first time since Ralph left, I feel like I'm seeing things clearly. everything was looking up. Fin was coming around, Gem was back. Only Ralph coming to his senses could have made things better, but that wasn't going to happen. More and more she wasn't sure she wanted him to. Thanks for showing up tonight. The wolf scares me some times because I can't fight it. I mean, I could try, but I don't want to hurt Ralph for the thing's actions. thing wasn't meant as a disrespect, but more because she didn't know what to call Ralph's alter ego. Did it have another name?

Yes Raven was happy that Dani was alright but she couldn't help think about what the wolf had said and the whole mate thing. Now wasn't the time. She figured Dani needed time to sort through everything and she was going to give her some space. "I'm going to head back to the party. If you need anything you have my number" Raven smiled and motioned for Onyx. She let the snake slither back up her arm to his favorite resting spot around her neck.

The ability to summon weapons allows Danielle to take any weapon within her line of sight, barring complications such as super strength or another more powerful telumkinetic. She is limited to only two weapons at a time, though she only usually takes one unless she's going for a bow and arrows. They always land safely in her palm with no chances of impalement, even if she turns around or moves her hand. The only way for this to injure another person is if they step in to the path of an incoming weapon before it switches directions. Her definition of the word weapon can be pretty broad, as she can summon anything that she has the intent to use as a weapon or that she has seen used as a weapon before, such as a belt.

"Sounds like a plan birthday girl. Sorry for messing up your night. I'll see you back at the room." Dani apologized, standing up to try and hug her roommate around the snake. That turned out a little more awkward than she had hoped. "And Raven?" She started, unsure how to broach what could be a touchy subject. "If you and Ralph want to be a thing, it doesn't bother me. I just wish he'd be honest with himself about why he's doing this. It's plain as day to everyone but him that he prefers you over me. Just be happy yourself, alright?" Picking up the drink she had grabbed on the way in, Dani moved to walk down the stairs between her and Raven so that she could go find some alcohol and her best friend.
