I'm a land mine." Finley had heard about this party from one of the students he'd passed earlier in the day. It was a birthday bash for Raven, the girl he met at the boathouse a little while back. That probably wasn't what convinced Finley to stop hiding in his dorm room and face the world, it was more the rumors of Alcohol and plenty of it that had Finley deciding on an outfit and actually turning up. He did like Raven but they had only really spoke once and Fin was rather withdrawn so made no real attempts to contact the girl. Actually he hadn't really spoken to anyone but Danielle at the school and he was pretty sure there were rumors flying around that he was mute. He didn't really care though, what people thought was entirely up to them and he couldn't give two hoots about peoples opinions. Finley had been hanging around the venue for a while when Dani walked in. Her costume was amazing and it made Finley see that she wasn't the fourteen year old girl that he'd let go of four years ago now. He could also see the roaming eyes of some of the other male guests at the party and this angered him just a little bit. Who did they think they were looking at his sister like that? He buried his anger though before it got out of control, if he brought the cinema down then he'd definitely not forgive himself. Fin downed the rest of his drink put on a smile and walked over to Dani. "Hey loser." Finley said his greeting was one he'd used often when they were kids, he hoped it would help give some sense of familiarity that he knew was lacking between the two. "Weirdo! Dani shot back out of reflex, turning on her heels to hug her brother. The person she had been talking to disappeared in to the crowd, which was probably for the best. The last thing she wanted to deal with was someone hitting on her brother right now. Not that he wouldn't have to try and do crowd control on the guys tonight judging by the look on his face and some of the surrounding party goers, but that wasn't really her problem at the moment. "I'm surprised you came! I mean, I know you've met Raven, but parties didn't seem like your thing" Things had changed though, so maybe he was a big partier like her. At least they'd have that in common.

Finley couldn't help but smile when his sister hugged him and he returned the hug. It finally felt like things between them were getting better. "I think you'll find you're the weird one." Fin shot back. Fin spotted some guys undressing his sister with their eyes and he shot them a look that clearly told them to back off. He downed the rest of his drink he'd got earlier. "People aren't my thing but Alcohol and Music is." Fin said simply in response. He didn't like the social aspects of parties but he liked to drink and listen to music.

Dani laughed at the death glare her brother aimed at a few of her not so secret admirers and hugged him tightly again. Not that she had ever really let go, she had just moved to his side instead. "Come on now Fin, if no one gets to look then what's the fun of the costume?" She giggled, pulling him towards a table with some harder liquor. Whatever he was drinking, it wasn't strong enough. "Besides, no I have Zorro to protect me from the dredges of society. Oh wait, that's us. "

"I have many things to say about that particular costumes choice." Fin said. He wasn't going into it now though, it was a party and he wasn't about to make a scene. "Come on baby brother. Lighten up and party with me." She laughed, filling her glass up with fireball and then topping his off. This is what she had been missing for so long. Being able to laugh with her twin and actually enjoy his company. what now? We can go dancing, there's a horror movie playing around here somewhere....or I can try to hook you up with someone. All up to you boo boo. sure her twin was generally quiet, but she'd break him of that in no time. This was high school and they were almost seventeen. Time to live for a while.

Finley smiled at his Sister, it seemed things between them had improved quiet alot recently. It was almost like it had been before, except they were older and not necessarily wiser. "boo boo. Really?" Finley rolled his eyes as the nickname, hoping it wouldn't catch on. "Don't try and hook me up that usually ends badly." Fin was horrible in any social situation but anything where a girl was involved was the worst. "I don't know Sister. You want me to lighten up I'm leaving it to you." he said drinking some of the Whiskey.

Linking her arm with Finley's, she dragged him in the direction of the room where people were currently dancing. If she could, she'd find a quieter corner so that maybe he wouldn't clam up and be embarrased. There was nothing wrong with dancing with your sister, but she knew how Finley could get. "Alright, Fin, show me what you've got." She teased.

Finley wasn't scared of Snakes but he wasn't the biggest fan either, he rather they stayed far away if he was being honest. "I can't dance." Finley said with a smile to Dani, it was an excuse Fin used to avoid dancing. It wasn't dancing with his sister that was the problem it was more that he usually stayed out the way and lived his life on the sidelines rather than being amongst people doing things that could potentially draw attention to himself. Psssh, come on baby brother. I've seen you dance before. Grabbing Finley's arms, she pulled him as close as she would let her brother. Any more and it would be awkward. With his hand in hers, she started swinging them around and acting like a complete idiot, hoping he would join in. They needed a good laugh and new memories to make things better between them. Anything to get her twin back to the way things used to be. Dance, Fin. You know you want to and no one is paying attention but me.

"Yeah like ten years ago." It was an exaggeration and he had danced since he was seven but not in public like this. Fin laughed as Dani pulled him close enough to dance without it being awkward and she started acting like a fool swinging them around and such. Fin joined in with the dancing then, this was good. They needed to spend time just being themselves around each other, he wanted things to be normal with his twin again too but it wasn't easy at all.
