Ralph's powers are actually that of Animal Morphing but he has yet to actually fully morph so it seems like its mere mimicry. Currently his abilities mean he has heightened senses, sight, hearing and scent.He also is highly sensitive to emotions and feelings (you've guessed it, yes be can smell fear). His powers are in the process of development and he's soon going to do the full morph. He's obviously very hairy from the power and he's also got many Wolf like quirks for example he will fight to gain dominance and if you win he is submissive. He sleeps curled up and will chase a ball if thrown to him. Another note is that Ralph is a carnivore and he eats ten times more than any eighteen year old does, he won't eat vegetables willingly. Also he's not allowed to have raw meat even slightly under cooked because it risks making him feral. He's also stronger than most eighteen years old and fitter with sharper reflexes but he's fairly easy to defeat when necessary, tranquilizers work very well.

Roads Ralph had been told about Raven's birthday party a few days back and since then he'd been gift hunting and since it was a costume party he had to go find one of those too. He settled for a police cop costume. It looked alright and since the trousers were actually shorts he wouldn't get to hot. Ralph wandered around the cinema that someone had rented for the party, for most the lighting would be dark and visibility would be reduced. Not for him, in fact he was currently seeing better than he would in daylight, he now knew this was part of his morphing, because wolves could see in the dark. His life currently felt like one of those horror movies that some of the many costumes originated from, he was like the real life American Werewolf and it bothered him. Although he wasn't a werewolf, just a Wolf and a human merged. Ralph didn't know how often he'd shifted since the day he'd broken it off with Dani but he could guess, only by the remains of whatever prey his Wolf side had eaten threw up the next morning. He never felt like eating much afterwards.
He'd already seen Raven that evening and he had to admit, his best friend had looked amazing in her costume. As did the other ladies that had turned up for the night, even if some were just a little scary. There was one in particular he kept looking back to and although he'd broken it off with Dani he still didn't know if he'd done the right thing. He had been spending a lot of time with Raven lately and his best friend was a great distraction but when he was alone in his dorm at night his mind always went back to Dani and what could've been. Ralph shook these thoughts from his mind as he looked away from her, he was stood in a darkened corner of the room and honestly he didn't feel like partying.

She is limited to only two weapons at a time, though she only usually takes one unless she's going for a bow and arrows. The night was going amazing and Dani had been enjoying herself for the first time in a while. Maybe it was the dim light or the alcohol, maybe even the mask and revealing costume that one of the gir,s had helped her pick out, but the party made her feel alive. She had even found a guy that she had every intention of going home with later. Even though she said she wouldn't, Dani had waited for Ralph much longer than intended and it was finally time to work on moving on for a little while. Besides, she wasn't stupid. Her roommate was gone more and more, all signs pointing towards her hanging out with Ralph. Ravens power would allow her to control the beast, so maybe it was just a better fit. Dani would never be able to do that for him and that still killed her, even now.
With the song she had been dancing to over and her drink empty, Dani waved goodbye to the group she was with and moved to leave the room in search of the refreshments. The very person she had just been thinking about had been in the room earlier, but now she couldn't see him. Had he left? The thought had barely crossed her mind as she walked towards the edge of the room to find the door. She didn't get much farther than the dark lit areas before the carpet snagged her boot, sending her tumbling towards the ground.

Sail Ralph was watching Dani dance, in her amazing outfit that Ralph thought looked amazing on her. She looked happy at least on the outside but Dani was always good at hiding her true feelings. Who was he too judge he was horrible with the whole emotions thing considering he was ruled by instincts. Ralph sighed a little, by the look of Dani she was ready to move and it seemed tonight she would.
Besides, she wasn't stupid. Her roommate was gone more and more, all signs pointing towards her hanging out with Ralph. Ravens power would allow her to control the beast, so maybe it was just a better fit. Dani would never be able to do that for him and that still killed her, even now. Ralph hadn't drank at all since Vegas, in case it triggered a shift but he might make an exception tonight since he was shifting anyway and he needed to loosen up a little after all this was Raven's party and he didn't want to drag her down with his bad mood.
Ralph had started towards where he knew the refreshments were coming from when he saw Dani leave her group and head in a similar direction, he lingered behind preferring not to interact with her but he wasn't very far away from exactly that. Just as he was turning around to head back in the opposite direction he saw Dani's boot hook onto the carpet and she began to fall. Ralph moved fast and caught Dani just as she was about to impact the floor, he stood her back up on her feet. "Are you okay?"

Right as she braced herself for the inevitable impact, familiar hands pulled her up again. Of course it would be Ralph that saved her, not Fin or Gem. Her heart sank as she turned to face him, unsure whether she should just simply thank him or walk away. It had been forever since that night she had stayed with him just so that he could leave the next morning.She felt like a bad one night stand, or worse. That was why she had avoided him like that plague, among other reasons. "I'm fine. Thanks I guess. She grinned sheepishly, grasping the cup in her hand a little tighter. Even if she was facing him, there was no way she was going to look at him right now.

Sail When Ralph saw Dani, he felt worse than ever for just ending it like he did but he did it to protect because his Alter-ego was I predicable and had already tried to eat her once and he couldn't have that. "You're welcome I guess." Ralph shrugged, he had wanted to avoid exactly this, the awkwardness of actually having to interact after you broke it off. "How have you been?" Ralph asked. He was concerned for Dani ever since he'd left her, she was definitely avoiding him but who could blame her when her when he ended it. He felt like an idiot for days after.

"Just peachy. Training, hanging out with Gem, and spending time in the room by myself takes up all my time." There was venom in her voice, something she couldn't decide if she was okay with or not. Until she had been face to face with Ralph she had simply been sad, but now she was pissed. Besides, the implication was there. Had he really left her for Raven? "You know, if you didn't want to see me all you had to do was say it. I mean come on, I'm too fragile to be around you because of the big bad wolf, but you'll spend all of your time around my roommate who can barely defend herself? What kind of shit is that?" A small part of her wanted to walk away without letting him answer, but that wasn't her style. Maybe she should give it a try some time, but tonight it just wasn't going to happen. |

The venom in Dani's voice had Ralph recoiling, shoving his hands in his pockets. He frowned at her taking a step back. He should've expected it though, they could've had a good thing had he not screwed it up. Ralph was fine with Dani being annoyed at him he deserved it but Dani questioning his reasons for breaking it off was not something he was happy about. He felt his reasons were good ones. "Raven is the only one that could possibly control this thing." Ralph explained, he'd been talking to Raven about whether she could control the Wolf with her powers and it seemed like a possibility. That was his reasons for hanging around with Raven. "Just don't start with me." Ralph said, really not in the mood to have this conversation now but it needed to be done.

 Normally Dani managed to keep her temper in decent check, but the stress from recent events just wasn't going to let that happen. Her left hand somehow let go of the cup and before she knew it, a loud slap echoed in their little corner of the room. Her hand stung from the force of it as her face started to turn red with anger. " It wasn't Raven who stayed with you that night and calmed you down until things got better. She didn't drive your ass home when it was over. But you want me to not start?" Her voice was rising and she knew it, so she turned to walk away from the person she used to be in love with. Maybe some fresh air would do her some good. |

Ralph hadn't expected her to slap him, but by the looks of her face he should've. A growl formed in the back of his throat that he quickly suppressed since it wouldn't do any good. What she said was definitely true though, she had stayed with her that night despite the fear he could smell rolling of her and he owed her that. He was more concerned about making sure that she wasn't torn to shreds to worry about that. "Raven wasn't one that my shitty Wolf Alter-ego was going to tear to shreds." Ralph said. Ralph grabbed her wrist so that she couldn't walk away, she'd started this and he wasn't about to let her walk away from him. "This isn't about Raven so leave her out of this." Ralph stated. Ralph sighed, "Look you don't get it. Grabbing her wrist was a bad move on Ralph's behalf, but she wasn't going to do anything about it just yet. They were standing in a room full of innocent people and as much as she wanted to kick his ass and his alter ego's, she would have to wait until she could get them outside. You want to know what love is? Do you? Staying even when you know you could get hurt. You took that choice away from me, sent me away like every other fucking person in my life has, because all you see me as is some fragile girl. Wrenching her wrist from his grasp, Dani looked him over for a minute to see if there was anything she could use to pull him along. It looked like his costume might have a belt, but there was a chance that it wouldn't work the way she needed it to. Stupid costumes and their plastic remakes. The part about not being able to control it made her laugh more than it should have though. It was almost maniacal, but Halloween was the time for that right? You. Didn't. Try. You say you can't outrun it or control it, but I SAW YOU. I was there. You can do it and I'm the only person who knows that. So you keep hiding behind that excuse instead of training. I have a useless power that can't hurt anyone and I train with it two to three times a day. You can't even see yourself to a gym without your new side piece. Or maybe that was it. I didn't put out so you took the opening to leave as soon as you go it? Poor Ralph. Now that, that was a low blow. Not that she cared, but it was. Maybe it was time to text Gem to see if he was in the building or not because if Ralph didn't let her out of this room soon, things were going to get nasty. Fin could be a little more effective though and she knew he was here somewhere. |

"Bloody he Dani you're no fragile girl and I've never ever thought of you like that. You know that." Ralph ran a hand through his hair, her words cut him deeply and he knew they were true. "You shouldn't have to make that sort of choice Dani. You should be with someone that you know you can trust never to hurt you." Ralph said he was frustrated and the vast amount of movement from the people around him was beginning to work on his nerves. Ralph didn't want to argue with Dani but things had quickly escalated.
Dani's laughing didn't bother Ralph, he was less amused though.
"I don't remember! So whatever you saw I can't remember. I might've stopped the evil Wolf eating you but I can't remember how!" Ralph responded to her. "Your power could seriously hurt someone and you know it." he added although that was irrelevant. Her next words made him frown "I said leave Raven out of this." he first pointed out getting more and more wound up. "Oh yeah sure Dani thats why I broke it off." He was very sarcastic, that sort of thing wasn't even on his mind and it really was a low blow on her part. "If thats the type of person you see me as then maybe it's a good think I stopped this." he signalled between him and her.

The last thing she needed was some idiot getting hurt because she got a rise out of Ralph. Maybe she should just stop and leave. "What else was I supposed to think, huh? You didn't even let me walk you in. You never called, or even text to see if I was okay. Not once. " Her voice lowered slightly as the reason why she was so mad seeped through. Hurt and betrayal mixed with the bitterness as she took a step back in hopes that he would either leave her alone or follow her outside. "you threw me away like a two bit whore and never looked back. What would picking up the phone hurt, or has he learned how to teleport too?"

Ralph felt little guilty because Danielle's words were true. Ralph was growing more and more annoyed and suddenly the noise in the room was too much. Then the headache started and the familiar tingling pain took over making Ralph grunt in pain for a moment. "Danielle we need to take this outside now!" Ralph said as the headache became more intense. He didn't wait for Danielle to respond as he headed for the door, he need to get out as soon as possible. Once outside he took a couple of deep breaths to try and ride out the pain but if wasn't long and his nose started bleeding before he passed out. Once he was conscious again Ralph could see the world in black and white and he knew that he'd shifted again.

" Fine." she stated, following him out the door. On their way out she had the forethought to grab a freshman and tell them to grab RAVENNA SILVAN GAUNT. By the looks of things Ralph wasn't doing too well and things might have gone too far. Not that she cared. Everything she had said was true and it was coming out eventually. " What, what now?" she questioned right before he hit the ground. It only took her a minute to register that he was down, but before she could crouch down beside him, the wolf was there in his place. " Oh, great. You again. " she seethed, hoping that Raven would show up before she was forced to do something stupid. |

HER POWER TO TALK WITH ANIMALS IS MORE OF THE ABILITY TO UNDERSTAND THEM. ANIMALS SEEMS TO UNDERSTAND HUMAN SPEECH AND HER MIND CAN TRANSLATE ANIMAL SPEECH TO SOMETHING SHE CAN UNDERSTAND. IT JUST HAPPENS AUTOMATICALLY AND SHE CAN'T EXACTLY CUT IT OFF BUT JUST LIKE TALKING WITH A PERSON SHE HAS TO BE WITHIN EARSHOT TO UNDERSTAND THE CREATURES. SHE CAN GET VERY CONFUSED ON WHO SHE IS TALKING WITH OR WHERE A CONVERSATION IS COMING FROM IF SHE HAPPENS TO BE IN EARSHOT OF SOME ANIMAL.
CONTROLLING IS A BIT DIFFERENT. IT ISN'T A SPOKEN COMMAND IT IS MORE OF A MENTAL ONE. IT TAKES TOTAL CONCENTRATION AND SHE CAN'T CONTROL AN ANIMAL FOR MORE THAN AN HOUR, NOT THAT SHE WANTS TO. ANY LONGER AND IT CAUSES MASSIVE HEADACHES, NOSE BLEEDS AND IN SOME CASES SHE WILL PASS OUT BUT THAT DOESN'T HAPPEN TILL THE TWO HOUR MARK. THE SIMPLER THE COMMAND THE EASIER IT IS TO CONTROL THE ANIMALS. RAVEN PREFERS TO JUST ASK THE ANIMAL IF THEY ARE WILLING TO DO SOMETHING RATHER THAN CONTROL THEM. IF HER CONCENTRATION IS BROKEN SHE LOOSES CONTROL.

Somebody shine a light i'm frozen by the fear in me
Having the freshmen she didn't know run up to her telling her Dani needed her outside she feared the worst. Dani never asked for help unless it was really dire. She really hoped this wasn't the time. Maybe Dani just wanted to talk or vent. She didn't delay or grab her cloak as she headed outside. Onyx was suddenly alert and in a slight strike position on her shoulder the moment. She noticed why. In front of her was Dani and a wolf that she could only conclude was Ralph. Well that was a good reason to call her.
She looked at Dani and could tell she was angry. "Hey Dani I need you to calm down, take deep breaths Wolves can tell when people are semi hostile so just try to even your heart rate" She told Dani in a hushed kind voice. She didn't want to sound commanding but she needed to make sure everyone was calm. She was acing overly calm. She then knelt down in front of the wolf. She lowered her head slightly she show she was not challenging the alpha. She had learned the methods when working with wolves with professional animal rescuers. She calmed down Onyx then addressed the wolf. "Hey Ralph. Can you tell me what is going on?" She asked the Wolf in a very low soft voice.
