Nathan has the ability to manipulate a person's health. In general this is limited to small wounds such as a minor stab or cut, some broken bones, and minor illnesses. However, if he concentrates extremely hard and is willing to lose quite a bit of energy, Nathan can some times heal mortal injuries, such as a gun shot.
He cannot bring someone back from the brink of death, as it would deplete him completely of his own energy and most likely kill him. The best he could do at that point is close the wounds that he could and then fix everything else the old fashioned way.
As far as illnesses go, he can in general shave off a few days or hours, depending on the illness. He cannot make it go completely away.

 The fall morning was crisp and bright, something that Nathan enjoyed. It was the perfect weather to don his black and grey track suit, wake his dog Max up early, and then head out for a run. It didn't take him long to leave his own lakeside property and end up on the grounds of Ashford Academy. This part of the premise was technically open to the public because of the park, but the large school tended to deter any tourists from venturing too close to this section. Luckily for him, he was neither a tourist or a stranger. Calloway was his home. Normally he would have stuck to his own private space, but lately he had been more restless than usual. Aria would have turned seventeen on her last birthday and the twins would be close on her heels, turning seventeen their selves in a few short weeks. Maybe having kids so close in age had been another factor in Jessia deciding to leave. Not that she mattered anymore, just that it had been another year. Another long, lonely year without his kids. Dismissing the thought, Nathan grabbed a tennis ball out of his pocket once they reached a still unoccupied stretch of the beach to play fetch with Max. The large chocolate lab bounded towards him with a happy bark before he threw the ball, landing a few yards away. With a contented laugh, Nathan whistled, signalling for the dog to return the ball so that they could go again. |

 "I'm not a ladies' man,
I'm a land mine." Ever since being in foster care Fin had been a early riser, he would go to bed early to hide away from the other kids and that resulted in waking up early. This had sort of continued as the years went by except he'd go to bed later and later every passing year. The nightmares didn't help him sleep either so inevitably he was up and out before most of his class mates. He usually used these early mornings for a run. He loved running, it cleared his mind and set him up for the day ahead of him. His trainers and teachers saw the positive affect running had on the potentially violent student and encouraged him to continue to do it before class. He usually ran around the lake before heading back to his dorm to get showered and ready for the day. That wasn't happening today, while his run had been enjoyable as always it did very little to help his troubled mind and calm his thoughts of recent events. In specific reuniting with Dani, his twin he'd not see in two years and he couldn't even talk to her. This bothered Finley more than he let on, had the two of them been separated to long to ever repair their once strong relationship. Finley hoped that this wasn't true but he knew that thing between him and Dani needed time. He'd taken to walking along the shore his bare feet in the shallow water. It wouldn't be long before he and Dani turned 17, he wished he could turn back the time and not let Ashford take her away at fourteen. Finley continued to walk not acknowledging the other man who had clearly thought an early morning run was a good idea. He did stop when a ball landed in the shallow water directly in front of him followed by a gorgeous chocolate Labrador. The dog followed the ball into the water that barely reached Fin's ankles before bounding out again, managing to splash a fair amount of water on Finley. It wasn't enough to soak him but he was definitely wet. Finley frowned at the dog as it ran off, continuing to walk along the shore but further away from the water this time. Nathan sighed and jogged to catch up with Max so that he could apologize to the boy. It seems that his high spirited pup had attempted to make a friend and failed. "Sorry about that. He's a little high strung in the mornings, hence the runs. " leaning down to put the dog, he replaced the leash and smiled up at the stranger. At least Nathan was in a good mood, considering how close it was to the Twins' birthday. This year he'd be able to hire a PI to find his Aria, but he'd have to wait one more year to find his babies. The two little ones he barely got to know.
"This is a great spot for a run. Unfortunately it seems like I've invaded your space. " a kid after his own heart, running instead of playing video games. That was a rare find these days.

I'm a land mine." Finley saw what looked to be the dogs coming towards the Labrador. Finley didn't mind dogs and this one seemed friendly enough, Finley just wasn't the friendly type. "It's fine." Finley said, he couldn't help but smile at the dog, who seemed very content and happy. Finley looked at the stranger, there was something vaguely familiar about him but he couldn't put his finger on it. He wasn't one of those tutors that had tried to get Finely into training sessions and in fact he was sure he hadn't seen him at school at all. Finley shrugged, "Its a free country." it wasn't his space and although he hadn't expected anyone to be out this early, it was hardly a surprise. As for invading his space, Fin was used to that too. "So, student or citizen?" It was a fairly common question around the area. Occasionally non super powered people would move in to town for a while before they inevitably got run off by one of the bigger families in power. The more normal people, the more chances there were that the existence of the school and it's special students would be exposed and then they could no longer defend their little safe haven. From the looks of the kid, he would be about Finley's age, but he couldn't be sure. "Sorry, just moved back and I'm still trying to figure out who's who around here again."

"Student." Fin replied he was fairly used to that question being asked. He was a new face to most after all. He himself was still trying to get used to the place, the people and of course his powers. Things had been very complicated for him over the last few weeks especially since his meeting with Dani went so badly. "You and me both buddy." Finley replied, he wasn't one for formalities or respect and calling anyone buddy was acceptable even of they were older than him or may not like it. He patted the dogs head gently. He was still trying to figure out why the guy was familiar.

Nathan shook his head and chuckled at the boy. He reminded him of himself at that age, quiet and a little headstrong. He'd be crazy to say that he didn't sense a little familiarity with him, but he couldn't quite place it. "Its been a long time since I've been here. They didn't even have the school up and running back then. Nathan observed. After a long moment, his conversation with the older gentleman at the bar reminded him of the reason why he had been coming closer and closer to campus on his runs. His kids could be there. Maybe this one could give him a hint. My kids would be around your age, I think. I'm not sure if they ended up out here or not, but maybe you'll run across them some day.

Finley gave the man a small smile, although adults and Fin didn't usually mix well, this guy seemed more laid back than most of the adults he'd met. "Hes a nice dog. My friend would love him." Finley said. Raven loved animals and Fin was pretty sure she would love the dog that had splashed him wet. None of the foster homes Fin had been in ever owned a dog, he actually thought he'd be great with a dog, he loved the outdoors and running after all. He petted the dog again for a moment as the man spoje about his sister. "Not likely. I'm not really the social type so rarely do i meet people. Although my sister might, she gets around quiet a bit." Danielle was definitely the more social of the two and most of the people Finley actually conversed with already knew Dani.

That's a shame. It's been a long, long time since I've seen them. Their mother took them away, you see, when they were very small. Been looking for them ever since, but the legal system in this country... Nathan shook his head at the thought, realizing that this kid probably didn't want to hear his sob story. He probably had problems of his own to deal with more than that anyways. Calling Max back over towards him, he smiled at the kid. So how's the training going? I heard it's a little strict up here.

"Well if I see them I'll tell them their father came looking for them." Fin said. When he was growing up he'd always hoped his own father would come looking for them and stop the bouncing between homes and finally let them have a proper family. As he grew older though he stopped dreaming as reality set in. He wasn't about to tell this to the stranger though, he simply flopped down into the sand. He shrugged at the guys question, "I wouldn't know, I don't go." he had heard that some of the staff were strict while others were down right scary, he didn't know though since he'd yet to turn up to a training session.

Nathan nodded even though he hadn't said their names. I hope someone does, or that someone has at least told them that I love them very much. I never would've left them if I had a choice and I know how unbelievable that will be when they finally reach the age where I can go find them myself. It was a weak excuse for most men, but he had an entire town of SPBs to protect, not to mention the children themselves. If they were lucky, they had taken after their mother and would never have to worry about something like this happening to their own children. What's your power? Practice isn't always necessary. No harm, no foul.

Fin didn't ask for the names of the guys kids, he would more than likely never meet them and even if he did, there was no way he was going to try and convince them with the guys sob story he'd just told Fin. Maybe he did genuinely love his kids, but Fin found it hard to believe. "You're right about it being unbelievable." he said staring out into the distance for a moment before looking at the man again. He wondered if maybe he'd seen the guy around town, maybe in the entertainment district. Finley knew he'd never actually met the guy but the over-whelming senseHB f of familiarity. Fin knew that when it came to his Geokinesis he needed all the help he could get "Geokinesis, I've got a good handle on my power. " he told the guy, even though he actually had very little control over his powers
