i say ya kill your heroes and fly As Leo pulled himself up to sit on the edge of the pool, he was reminded by a slight breeze that sent goosebumps crawling across the skin of his upper body that it was almost too late in the year for outdoor swimming. Though fall had only just begun, already the air was getting cold. But the indoor swimming pool wasn't open for free swimming at 10 in the morning, so - until it closed for winter, as Leo suspected it would - he would ignore the way the way the water helped the cool air make him shiver.
After a few chilly moments of rest on the edge of the pool, Leo slid back in and started off on a crawl stroke. He's always liked swimming, but he hadn't been able to do it often - approximately once a month or so - back home, leaving a lot to be desired in his form and tiring him out faster than it would if he were more streamlined and putting the right amount of power behind his strokes.
Reaching the other side, Leo spun in an underwater flip and pushed off the wall, switching to backstroke as he came back across the pool, stopping on the other side to catch his breath. being out of practice, combined with having been swimming for nearly an hour left him a bit winded, though this time he stayed in the warm water and held onto the edge to catch his breath. word count: 247 tags: n/a notes: I don't know why I kinda don't like the way this sounds but I'm too lazy to retype it to sound nicer.

we shall continue nowwith our piano interlude ✥ ✥ ✥ ✥ ✥ ✥ ✥ ✥ ✥ ✥ When it came to mornings, Tallulah certainly was not a fan. She much preferred sleeping through them, but now that she was back at school and on somewhat of a schedule, she was forced to awaken before noon. Tally was by no means a morning person, so despite the fact that she was out of bed, she was still half asleep and occasionally bumping into things due to her sleepy weariness. She glared at the clock crossly, as if it was the one at fault for her being awake so early. 9:47 was not a time she wanted to be up, but she had class at 10 .
Or, so she thought. When Tally checked her schedule to see what classroom she had to go to, she saw that she had been mistaken; her 10 AM class was tomorrow, not today. Dismayed yet relieved, she glanced back at her bed, contemplating returning to sleep. But she was up, and she'd have to wake up in an hour or so anyways, so there wasn't really any point. Muttering grumpily to herself, she contemplated on what to do. She hadn't been to the pool during the day time, and swimming would certainly wake her up. She pulled on her bathing suits and slipped a sweater and shorts over it; she didn't bother with shoes or leggings or anything, since she would be in the pool. Besides, the chances of someone accidentally touching her legs for more than a second was slim to none.
Tally walked across the campus to the pool, pulling her long blonde hair into a pony tail as she walked. She still was getting used to her new environment, and she still didn't recognize many people at the school, so she passed by multiple unfamiliar faces as she walked. Pushing the gate open, she saw that the pool wasn't very crowded. The cool weather probably attributed to that; a significant nip in the air hinted at the coming autumn weather. The water would be cold, but Tally always welcomed lower temperatures, since she was so accustomed to blistering heat. A few people wandered around, either swimming lackadaisically in the water or lounging on the chairs and chatting.
Tally stopped at a chair to take off her sweater and shorts before approaching the waters edge. There was a boy holding onto the edge of the pool, clearly catching his breath. Figuring she might as well try to meet new people, she walked over. She took a seat on the edge, dangling her legs over the edge so the water reached her upper calf, and looked at the boy curiously before speaking. "Hi." she greeted, in a rather blunt introduction. ✥ ✥ ✥ ✥ ✥ ✥ ✥ ✥ TAG: @leonardo NOTES: C: WORDS: 449 OUTFIT: here! TUNES: Intermission by Panic! at the Disco

i say ya kill your heroes and fly Leo noticed the girl walking over. He recognized her, barley. She was also a freshman, though trying to remember anything more, such as a name, wasn't working out. He was still settling into the school and rush of people he'd met in the last few weeks was overwhelming. When she sat down he was lowering his shoulders back into the water so that the surface encircled his neck and his fingers gripped the edge. He was going to slide back beneath the surface, maybe swim another lap, when she spoke.
Leo looked up towards her. He didn't doubt that she was speaking to him, after all she had come over here. He hoped that he wasn't supposed to remember her - it was possible they had conversed and he'd just forgotten. He was still getting to know people and adapting to the time zone change. But he was sure - or at least mostly sure - that he didn't know her. Hopefully she wouldn't know his name and put him in the ever-awkward position of having to ask for name and feeling like a bad person all the way through.
His response was maybe 4 or 5 seconds after she'd spoken. He grinned at her and said, cheerily, "Hey!" He pushed his head under the water and swam back a few feet into the pool. "The air's a bit chilly, but it's not too bad in the water, if you're getting in." word count: 240 tags: @simplicity notes: leo: everyone at this school looks like movie stars, it's hard to tell them apart! fourth wall: *sweats nervously*
