Ralph let out a huff of air as Dani asked if this would change the way he'd train. He didn't know if it would and he sure hoped he'd be back to his human form before then. He moved his muzzle gently so it was touching her cheek, he wanted to ask her what love life she meant but of course he couldn't. Their relationship was a complicated one before this and now it was ten times worse. Ralph let out another yawn as he snuggled close to Dani, right now all he wanted to do was sleep maybe he'd be back to normal in the morning. He didn't know what Dani would do but whatever she did it would be fine.  every step you take

Maybe the yawn was a good sign. If he went to sleep, he might shift back on his own. Besides, it was late and she was exhausted. It wouldn't be the first time she had slept outside, probably not the last, and Ralph was warmer than usual. Dani could just curl up against him and hopefully he wouldn't abandon her in the middle of the night to the coyotes or wolves....or whatever else was hanging around Yellowstone this time of year.
Making sure that her head stayed up by the wolf's muzzle, Dani repositioned herself so that she was out of the cool wind and closer to the radiating warmth from his body. "Good night big guy." She whispered, burying her face as best as she could in to his as she tried to will herself to sleep.

Ralph curled around Dani, more to keep her warm than him and it didn't take long before he fell asleep. He wasn't sure what was going but he'd figure it out after he had some sleep. While he slept his Wolf form dissappered and was replaced by the normal human Ralph in only his boxers. Waking up in a cold park wasn't fun, Ralph blinked as the early morning sun woke him up. He saw that his arms were wrapped around Dani and this only led to more confusion. He sat up carefully sliding his arms out from around the sleeping girl, he had no idea why he was in the park and not in his dorm. He gently shook Dani awake, the crisp morning air was cold and he didn't want her to freeze. "Dani! Dani wake up." She'd probably know why they were in the park asleep. "Did Gem get me drunk again?"(( I time skipped.)) every step you take

The night spent beside Ralph was more comfortable than she had imagined. He had picked a soft spot to lay in, plus his heat kept her warm and his size blocked most of the wind. When a human hand shook her awake, she wasn't ready to join the living just yet. "Five more minutes Ralph." She grumbled, trying to roll over so that she was up against him this time. Only now, where there had been a giant wolf earlier, was human Ralph, mostly unclothed and freezing. Crap.
"Hey there big guy. No, Gem didn't get you drunk. You shifted. Why did you tell me you were a mimic whenever you aren't?" Now that he was human and not trying to bite her, that was definitely a question she needed answered. If he hadn't known then fine, but if he did...well, then he would've put her at risk willingly. That just wasn't going to work. |

Ralph chuckled at Dani clearly not ready to wake up but she had to. They needed to figure out why he was in his boxers in the park. Her next comment answered it. "Shifter? What? I'm a mimic or at least I was until last night." Ralph said the confusion clear in his feature. He shivered a little and he remembered he was still in just his boxers. "Can we continue this somewhere warm." Ralph said, he noticed the dead rabbit that wasn't far from them and groaned slightly, that was disgusting. "Come on." Ralph said standing up and offering his hand to Dani to help her up. every step you take

Dani took his outreached hand, standing up to wrap an arm around his waist. Luckily she had borrowed a car to come in to town, otherwise they would have to walk in the crisp morning air with Ralph in nothing but his boxers. "Sorry big guy, if I thought you weren't wearing any clothes I would've tried to get you closer to campus. Really I was just trying to keep you from eating me, but hey. I could've worked a little harder."
Pulling closer to him in an attempt to help keep her...well, whatever Ralph was to her... warm, Dani kissed his shoulder while they walked. That had been a terrifying experience, one that she never wanted to go through again. Hopefully Kale wouldn't say anything if her fear of losing her independence manifested in the form of a large wolf next time. "You scared me back there big guy. Are you okay?" |

Ralph looked down at Dani and wrapped his arm around Dani's shoulders as they walked. "I was definitely wearing clothes when I left my dorm." Ralph said, why he'd woken up in the park without them was beyond him but having Dani there made up for it. "Wait it tried to eat you?" Ralph remembered something along those lines but he didn't think he'd ever do something like that. Ralph also pulled Dani closer, he was slightly warmer than when she wasn't so close. Ralph was still very confused by the events of the previous night but he didn't say anything. "I think so." Ralph said but his stomach said otherwise as it churned and lurched. "It wasn't you Ralph. I mean it was, but it wasn't at the same time. I could tell when you had a conscious amount of control and most of the time...you just didn't. It snapped at me and then stopped when I backed down and started acting submissive, that's all it took. Well, as much as she was willing to talk about at least. Dani hated being backed in to a corner like that, but what was she supposed to do? Ralph had needed her there, or so she thought. He might have been better off if she had just left him alone to do his thing.
In regards to if he ate, Dani nodded, trying to find the words. Human Ralph was not going to be pleased with this part at all and she already knew it. "There was a rabbit in your mouth whenever you found me. I think you had been out hunting them and ended up in the park. I'm just glad I found you instead of someone else. That could have been tragic." A feral SPB was all they needed right now. If he hadn't woken up human, what would've happened to Ralph? The thought made her shiver from something more than the cold as she huddled closer to him. |

Ralph listened as Dani spoke, he didn't remember any of it and it just frustrated him a little bit. "Oh? I don't remember. " Ralph said with a shrug. He was glad Dani was there, what would've happened if he'd wandered too far and Ralph ended up waking up somewhere he wasn't familiar with. It could've been a lot worse he supposed, he could've eaten Dani, that wouldn't have been a good thing for any of them. "At least you knew what to do. I don't know how I'd feel if I'd hurt you." Ralph responded.
Ralph pulled his face into one of disgust, "urg that's gross." he commented. "I'm glad you found me too." he felt Dani shiver for a moment and he pulled her really close to him, it was more for himself to know that she was okay and he hadn't hurt her. |

"Lets get you back to the dorms and warmed up." Part of her was almost sad that he didn't remember certain pieces of it, like when she had broken down and called him babe, something that she would probably never do again. It didn't matter though. The car was close by and she was ready to get it on and heat it up. Then Ralph wouldn't be so exposed and vulnerable anymore. Unlocking the doors, she left his side long enough to get in and start it. "I'm so sorry big guy. I know this can't be good for you. We'll get through it together though, okay? She started with a small smile, leaning over to kiss him on the cheek. He had genuinely scared her last night, but only because she was worried about the fallout this morning. Her poor big guy deserved more than this.
"Though I have to admit, the most entertaining part was how confused you looked when I mentioned that the whole wolf thing was going to put a damper on our love life. I know we haven't put a label on it yet, but geeze Ralph." She teased, reaching for his hand as she backed the car out of the lot and drove towards campus. |

"That's a really good idea, babe." Ralph said with a cheeky grin on his face, he'd started to shiver just a little but he was more concerned for Dani being out in the cold since she had been with him all night. A night which he mostly didn't remember but the odd few things slipped through and he was pretty sure if he tried hard enough the other lost memories would return at some point. Once the car was unlocked Ralph slid into the passenger side. "Thanks, for you know staying." Ralph smiled as Dani kissed him on the cheek. He smiled, he was glad Dani had found him and decided to stay with him. He didn't want to think what might've happened had somebody else found him. Ralph laughed at her teasing before he turned to face her for a moment. Ralph took her hand and smiled at her. "Seriously though, is there anything to put a damper on?" Ralph simply asked. They were pretty close to campus, but Dani pulled off on the side of the road anyways to look at Ralph for a second. Their hands were still clasped together and he looked cute in that lost puppy kind of way he generally had when they started talking about things like this. I don't know, big guy. You tell me. There are only so many first moves you can expect a girl to make before its your turn. squeezing his hand, she smiled at him gently before moving to start the car again. Their love life really didn't matter in the grand scheme of things. What did was getting Ralph warmed up and some clothes.

Ralph didn't know how to answer. "We had something, definitely. I've just never done this before I'm not like Gem, I don't know what girls want and how to make them happy." Ralph's voice trailed of slightly as he looked at their clasped hands. "This changes things though right?" he asked moving his hand to signal to himself, or more his shifting rather than his current barely clothed state. Ralph felt her squeeze his hand and he smiled sadly back at her. He knew this would change things, truth was his Wolf side was definitely dominant even in his human form meaning they were barely working before. "So this is it." She finally managed to say as she pulled in to the parking lot and stopped the car. She didn't jump out or raise her voice like she normally would, because he was right. There was no way this was going to work unless he somehow got control over his wolf side and that probably wasn't coming any time soon. "We aren't even going to try? Everything is just ending here." Her hand was limp in his when she remembered to pull it away and get out of the car.
Before she turned to walk away, Dani looked back one more time and walked over to the only guy she had let that far in besides her best friend and her brother. "If you ever get him under control...call me. I would like another chance for this to work. Leaning up, she wrapped her arms around Ralph's neck and kissed him softly one more time.

Ralph felt her hand go limp and he squeezed it gently, "I want to try Dani, really I do." Ralph said as he exited the car right after Danielle. He didn't know how to express himself or his thoughts. "I don't want him to hurt you, I couldn't live with that." Ralph said as she turned around, in reference to his Alter Ego. "Danielle, I really wish this could've worked." Ralph said as he pulled her close to him, he kissed her back gently. "I fell for you. I fell for you hard." Ralph said not wanting to let go. "It's not just me and you now though it is." Ralph said kissing her again. His Alter-ego was messing with his life in more ways than one. "I want to try this again." Ralph said, he might have to speak to Raven about control. every step you take
