Welcome to Los Angeles, CA, where dreams come true, more or less. People usually come to California for a fresh start, to chase after their dreams, but dreams don't always have a happy ending, do they?
After the loss of her child, Steffy left Liam to go to Paris and work at the Forrester Headquarters there and had promised she would never return but a year later, Steffy is called into town and decides to stay. Only thing is, she's not really Steffy. While she was in Paris, a demon, the demon we all know by the name of Ruby, possessed her. How is she alive you ask? Well, as it turns out, Lucifer helped to bring her back once more due to her loyalty and a promise to get him back out once more and it couldn't have come at a more perfect time now that Dean has acquired the Mark of Cain, died, then came back as a demon himself.
Bringing Lucifer back isn't Ruby's only objective. There is, in fact, a reason she decided to stay in LA and why it was Steffy that she decided to possess. With Steffy back in town and Rick stepping down from CEO, Steffy is now in charge of the company alongside her Father, who has no idea she is possessed. Ruby is in tune of Steffy's natural behavior, whose personality seems to be similar so it hasn't been that hard to fool everyone. Now in charge of a company, Ruby is able to brainwash the people of the world which, in turn, will lead to her success in opening the cage once more.
Her first objective? A new fashion line that will attract people from all over the world to LA which includes everyone from Genoa City to come to town. It is only a matter of time before her plan comes into action and she is able to free Lucifer yet again and this time, no one can stop her with Dean as a demon.
