can't take the kid from the fighttake the fight from the kid ✥ ✥ ✥ ✥ ✥ ✥ ✥ ✥ ✥ ✥ Math would be the death of her. When Tally died, her gravestone would read "Hear lies Tallulah, killed by polynomials." She was sure of it. Letting a frustrated sigh slip from her chapped lips, Tally resisted the urge to throw her pencil across the field in frustration. Her math career had gone downhill the moment they introduced the alphabet into it. The numbers and letters that littered her summer homework danced in before her mockingly, and she closed her eyes, as if when she opened them the math homework would be gone. Alas, they were still there when she opened them.
Groaning, she rolled over in defeat, staring up at the wide, cloudless sky that stretched above her, practically swallowing her in its grandeur. I bet math is used as a torture instrument. she thought crossly, raising a gloved hand above her to block out the summer sun. She only had a few more days to finish the math problems, but she didn't see how she could possibly finish the damned things when she had no clue how to solve them.
"I HATE MATH!" Tally shouted, her voice laced with frustration. She flung her pencil across the lawn, something she immediately regretted; now she would have to go hunt for the pencil. She didn't get up to do so. Instead, she continued to lie in the grass, wallowing in academic misery. Despite it being midday, the temperature was pleasantly in the mid-60's, and Tally enjoyed the feel of the cool air on her face, trying to ignore the fact that there were unfinished math problems begging to be solved right next to her.

You know I'm not one to break promises So short.. it sucks. Sorry
Well that was it, he just couldn't solve the damn problems and there was nothing he could do about it. There was no point in struggling, why learn all those things when he could just... do something else? „ Damn it” He murmured under his breath narrowing his eyes, he suddenly felt the urge to burn his notebooks... But he couldn't do that. Instead, he placed the pencil between his lips now trying to concentrate. After several minutes of staring at the words in his notebook, he shrugged . A sigh escaped his lips while he closed the notebook, there was no way he could solve everything no matter how hard he tried to understand. He easily got up grabbing the books from the ground and analyzing the surroundings with his light green gaze, not many people were around still the weather was great. He started walking in the direction of the dorms when someone shouted that she hated math, well... everyone had a weakness. Right? But now he was rather curious so he turned on his heels and started walking in that direction raising his eyebrows as he grabbed the pencil from the ground „ You hate math, huh?” He asked with a rather amused voice the corners of his mouth curling, a smile across his lips The truth be told the girl looked rather annoyed, something that Mike found extremely hilarious. From his point of view math was simple.. but most of the people hated it. And now he found himself sitting near her and looking over the problems „ Well this is easy.” He said with a rather calm voice nodding and taking the pencil in one hand. He just wrote something here and something there and that was it. The problem was solved. |

can't take the kid from the fighttake the fight from the kid ✥ ✥ ✥ ✥ ✥ ✥ ✥ ✥ ✥ ✥ Tally hadn't anticipated that her shouting would draw the attention of others, but she probably should have assumed that outcome. She was covering her eyes with her hands when she heard a male voice speak from a few steps away. "You hate math, huh?" She took her hands off of her face to look up at her company. A tall boy a couple years older than her with an impressive collection of tattoos stood above her, looking at her math homework with an amused expression. "Well this is easy."
She narrowed her eyes as he crouched down and finished the math problem she was stuck on with ease. Tally sat up, looking at him with a cross expression, "Well what are you, a senior? You've probably already taken this math class." she muttered irritably, looking at the problem he had finished and trying to see how he had completed it. To her exasperation, she had absolutely no idea. She couldn't follow all the numbers and letter that he had written, and couldn't see the connection between the problem in the answer.
Tally was much too proud to admit her confusion, though, and was even more against the idea of asking for him to explain, though it was tempting. "If you're so good at math, why don't you go ahead and do them all? It would save me a whole lot of frustration." She was only half-serious, figuring he would probably say no and that he had better things to do than finish a freshman's summer homework, but she couldn't resist suggesting it anyways.

You know I'm not one to break promises Short x.x
A laugh escaped his lips as he left his body fall on the grass while she got up, was she serious? He knew she was probably confused and couldn't understand anything but he was not going to say anything else, if she wanted to know how to solve the problem she had to ask like any other person stuck at a math problem. It was no secret he was a senior and he already took those math classes but the truth be told he was good at math. So it didn't matter anyway. "Right" Mike said with an amused voice his light deep green gaze fixed on the blonde girl as she watched him annoyed " I did. But I am good at math. That's all" He explained with a low voice before he srugged and placed a hand near his head trying to block the sun. At the confused look at his face a chuckle escaped his lips before he easily got up and raised his eyebrows " Need any help with that?" The question was of course just rhetorical, the puzzled look on her face was the answer to his question. When she mentioned the summer homework a sigh escaped his lips while he narrowed his eyes " I'd help you but I have my own homework. And really, unless you know science.. I can't help you" He mumbled nodding, it was true, he had to concentrate on his own summer homework and helping someone else with it.. Was not an option. He was way too busy for that. " I'm Mike" He simply said while he watched the girl with curious. |

can't take the kid from the fighttake the fight from the kid ✥ ✥ ✥ ✥ ✥ ✥ ✥ ✥ ✥ ✥ It was clear that her confusion was amusing to the boy, which just annoyed Tally even further. She exhaled sharply, scowling at him as he took a seat next to her in the grass. If only she was good at math; truth be told, even if she had already taken the class, she still probably wouldn't be able to do the problems. She was woefully incapable of focusing on math, and had a tendency to daydream during class. It confused her and was incredibly dull, in her opinion, and she just couldn't stay attentive in class. It didn't help that the past few years had been spent in Vegas where she hadn't even really gotten an education, so she was even further behind. She had managed to keep her grades passing at a C average, but she wasn't even entirely sure that she would be able to swing that, what with her current knowledge and incapability of staying in the zone for more than a few minutes at a time.
Glancing back at the math problems with burning contempt, Tally pushed a lock of blonde hair out of her face; she had pulled her hair into a side ponytail, but there were a few stray strands that were proving stubborn. She knew that she would need to ask him for help, but she was too proud. She'd rather not finish the homework than admit that she needed help.
The mention of science, however, piqued her interest. "Science I'm good at. What type is it? I'll help you with science in exchange for math." She outstretched a gloved hand for him to shake, "I'm Tallulah, but you can call me Tally." ✥ ✥ ✥ ✥ ✥ ✥ ✥ ✥ TAG: @mike WORDS: 280 NOTES: it's okay, mine are short too >.< OUTFIT: here!
