 CAUSE WE LOST IT ALL, NOTHING LASTS FOREVER The sound of rustling behind her brought Kaelyn from her inner dialogue. Her head snapped up so she could see who had intruded on her private space. It was one of the Juniors. She actually didn't remember the girl's name, which was bothering her because she felt like it was significant for some reason.
She sucked in a deep breath and pulled herself out of the sitting position the other girl, "It's fine. I don't take up much space." She said in a flat, respectful voice. I'M SORRY I CAN'T BE PERFECT |

The ability to summon weapons allows Danielle to take any weapon within her line of sight, barring complications such as super strength or another more powerful telumkinetic. She is limited to only two weapons at a time, though she only usually takes one unless she's going for a bow and arrows. They always land safely in her palm with no chances of impalement, even if she turns around or moves her hand. The only way for this to injure another person is if they step in to the path of an incoming weapon before it switches directions. Her definition of the word weapon can be pretty broad, as she can summon anything that she has the intent to use as a weapon or that she has seen used as a weapon before, such as a belt.

Weapons, traditional ones at least, were always fun to practice with. The other room was too crowded today though, so Dani found her way to an unfamiliar room to practice with more mundane things like belts and pencils. Even though most people wouldn't consider them weapons, a few creative souls and a nifty power quirk let her use them as well.
Room 14 seemed to be completely unoccupied from where she looked through the window, making it the perfect spot. Dani stopped short after opening the door whenever Kaelyn came in to view. " Page. Didn't see you there. Danielle nodded and took out her favorite item to practice with, her belt. Finley had bought it for her about a year before she left for Ashford, but it had been too big for her then. She had grown in to it over the years and loved to wear it simply because it reminded her of her brother.
Without even acknowledging the other girl again, Dani tried the technique that one of the trainers had suggested for expanding her powers. Instead of pulling on the string that basically allowed her to take a weapon, she was pushing on it, attempting to slide the belt across the floor. On her first attempt she was met with the normal reaction where it simply flipped over once and then stopped. The second time it slid across the floor and right over in the middle of Kaelyn's stuff. Great, now she definitely looked like an ass.
Dani's first instinct was to just summon it back, but it might mess with Kaelyn's objects if she hit them just right. So instead she walked over to the girl and stood there for a second, not sure how to proceed with the whole encounter.

CAUSE WE LOST IT ALL, NOTHING LASTS FOREVER Kaelyn had returned calmly to her practice. She had picked up a pencil and then carefully replaced it on the floor after it failed to tell her anything more interesting than a phone number for a suicide hot line. She let of a frustrated breathe and, although she was trying to ignore the other girl in the room, found that the more physical practice her power required was immensely distracting.
In fact, Kaelyn was considering a break from practice when a belt slid into her pile of things, making pens roll across the floor and crinkling a waded up papers she had tossed in with them earlier. Biting her lip, Kaelyn leaned across her legs and grabbed the belt, fully intending on returning it to the dark hair intruder. But then, when she least expected it to, a vision flashed in her vision. It was a boy the dark-haired girl cared for deeply giving her the belt, It had been a gift or something. Kaelyn dropped the belt to try and remove the image from her sight and the sound of the leather hitting the floor helping jar her back to reality. She looked up and the other girl and smiled politely, "I'm sorry...Dani?" The boy in the image had called her that, right? She picked up the belt and handed it across to the other girl. Dani reached across the small space that remained between them to grab her belt back. It wasn't something that she liked having out of her possession for very long because of the sentimental value. That, and she couldn't replace it from the lack of funds. "Right, Dani. How did you know that? I mean, all of the RA's have written me up for something once or twice, but you all generally go with the full name. 'Danielle Rockefellar, report to god knows who this week for detention.'" Her tone was slightly mocking, but why bother? School was out and she wasn't doing anything wrong.
Dani and authority figures had never gotten along well other than a few of the power trainers. Case workers? Nope. Foster parents? Double nope. If she had actually been with her parents, they would've been driven insane right now. Not because she was completely certain of anything, or because she thought that it would change anything, but because she was just surprised. Not that she should be, after all, it would have made sense that any other children of her biological parents would possess powers and attend Ashford. She just had never truly thought about it too hard before.
After a moment, Kaelyn regained her composure and stood up tall, looking at the other girl carefully. She had dark hair and blue eyes, just like Kaelyn. Looking closely, she actually thought she could see a little family resemblance, but then against there was every chance that she was completely wrong and her mind was playing tricks on her too. Not that it really mattered, she knew that no matter what she needed to at least ask, "Rockefeller?" She said in a shaky voice, very unlike herself as she nervously fidgeted with the hem of her Nike shorts, "That's your last name?"

When the Page girl stood up to look her over, Dani couldn't decide whether to go with the bored or defensive approach. Defensive would probably get her written up for sure and she didn't want this to interfere with the trip she was heading out on later that day. Instead she went for the softer approach and just ignored Kaelyn altogether.
Well, she that was up until the RA began to speak again. The normal composure that people usually seemed to associate with the girl was gone and it almost scared Dani. Was it something she said? She shook her head and tried to throw on her usual fake smile but something was really shaking her confidence right now. She stood up tall and ran her fingers through her dark hair before saying, "It's nothing. I'm sorry." She smiled and she started walking for the door, "I have to go. It was nice seeing you." She started to rush toward the door so quickly, she didn't pay attention to how close to Dani's arm she was brushing. Without meaning to trigger her power, Kaelyn gasped and stepped back, grabbing at Dani's arm for support as she tried to keep herself from falling down as the vision of adoption papers flashed across the vision.

Dani barely had time to react to Kaelyn bumping in to her before some sort of vision entered her mind. The sensation was disorienting and subconsciously she realized that she was now holding on to Kaelyn's arm, gripping it hard as the vision passed. Adoption papers with the same names her records held filled her vision. Jessia Rockefellar and Nathan Kotney were Kaelyn's parents too if those were her papers. The sister they had lost was here the enter time.
Despite what she saw, Dani needed to hear it straight from Kaelyn in case she was wrong. "What the hell was that? Where did you see those?" She demanded, her hand still wrapped around Kaelyn's arm. This was beyond insanity.
