PERSONALITY	Xan is a very cheerful and charming person. He is a ladies man and always knows how to have a good time. He is very smart but the normal school setting does annoy him because of all the visual aspects he cant see. Xan is a loyal friend and would be the first to jump into an adventure. He gets very defensive when people try to be overly helpful or sympathetic because of being blind. He wants to be treated just like every other member of society. He knows he is disabled but that doesn't stop him. He wants people to be open and joke with him despite the little things. He loves his family. He has no problem being friends and no problems being enemies with someone. Overall he is a normal person.

HISTORY

Xan was born blind but that never seemed to hinder him. He was just like all kids, eager and always exploring. His parents were very supportive and did everything they could for their son. When Xan was five his parents decided to home school him till they could send him to a school that would better accommodate his disability. His grand mother moved in with them at that point. She had lost her husband when Xan was three and since her husband was also blind she knew how to take care of Xan. Xan was taught by his father when he came home from work and during the day he learned life lessons from his grandma. She taught him how to memorize his surroundings to get around without the cane in the house. She taught him how to cook, be charming and a true gentlemen. Xan was ten when he went to public school. It was hard on him at first. Making friends was no issue but the classroom setting was difficult. His father helped him the best he could and Xan was a good student when he was able to get the right help. For the most part though his life was nice and happy. Xan was thirteen when his powers manifested. He had just helped his grandma bake a batch of cookies and went to grab one fresh out of the oven without burning himself. His grandma freaked thinking that he had hurt himself but when she realized that the cookie was cool and nothing was wrong with Xan she calmed down. His parents didn't freak out, much, and for the next year they helped him gain control of his ability. He could sense temperatures around him making moving around without his cane possible. He was able to uses it with cooking a lot and could cook faster and keep temps regulated. It only helped his cooking skills.  His family was approached by a recruiter to send him to Ashford. At first his parents didn't feel the need to send their son to a school for troubled kids since he wasn't troubled but once they learned that it was for people with abilities like Xan they left the choice up to him. Xan decided to go. He figured it would be a cool experience. And he was right. He has loved every year of school.

POWER	Thermal Manipulation
POWER DESCRIPTION	Xan can sense and manipulate temperatures around him. He can feel in a sense heat and coll temps from people and objects allowing him to almost see his surroundings. This is just natural and doesn't shut off. If there are too many of the same temperatures around him he can't always differentiate between the objects. Manipulating temperatures takes focus and he can hold a temp for up to three hours as long as it doesn't exceed -20F point or 300F. Anything past that the length he can keep it up differs. He doesn't have to be in physical contact with what ever he is working with but does have to be withing three feet of it. He can heat up a 10ft radius of water as long as he is in the water. It seems that if he is in contact with water he can make the heat or cool temps travel further. If he is not concentrating it doesn't work and there is the chance of getting too hold or cold that it will burn or freeze him only when the temp is at a more extreme. Also it is stronger if he is in physical contact with the object.
SPECIAL ITEMS	He always carries his white cane in his bag or back pocket when not in use. No matter how much he hates his cane it is the one few thing that helps him stayed focused on using his ability His cellphone is always with him.
