Gemini hadn't been thrilled about the dorm reassignment, he wasn't a fan of having a roommate in the first place but he had lucked out with Virgil. Now he was rooming with some guy he didn't really know. On the bright side his roommate wasn't there, so it gave him some time to himself to do whatever he wanted. Unfortunately, what he wanted was to not be stuck in the dorm. Deciding he'd go crazy if he sat around playing another game of solitaire on his laptop, Gemini opened Itunes, turned on 'Often' by The Weekend and turned the volume up as loud as his laptop would allow. He didn't care if it was too loud, for as many country music as there were at this school it was about time they learned good music sounded like even if it was through the walls. He dug his phone from his pocket and shot Ryan a text while he got ready maybe he'd be down to hang out. After he'd managed a Tom Cruise risky business slide across the floor, gotten dressed and checked his hair for the 5th time to make sure it had the perfect amount of swoop, he grabbed his car keys off his desk and headed for the door. He was in the process of stepping out the door when he realized his lap top was still blasting music. Raelynn woke up uncharacteristically early that morning and found herself sweating in her sheets. The bed was soaked through and all that told Rae was that the sun was shining and the summer was finally upon them, at least it almost was. Smiling, Raelynn threw her windows open and smiling brightly. It was sunny and hot. Crickets were singing across the lawn and Raelynn knew exactly what she was going to do with her time that morning. With her iPhone in hand, and her bathing suit top tight and showing off her midriff, Raelynn found herself camped out in a lawn chair by the swimming pool listening to top 40 hits and drinking whatever happened to be in her freezer before she left the dorm. But it had been hours since she had laid herself out in the sun. Her stomach rumbled beneath her new tanned glow as she packed up her tings and shimmied into her denim shorts to go back to the dorm. Out of habit, Raelynn yanked the door to Page Hall open and was halfway up the stairs before she remembered that she had moved to the university building in the last few days. Sighing, she turned around and headed back toward her new dorm just as Whip/Nae Nae began to play loudly through the speaker on her phone. A girl giggled and Nae Nae'd in the lobby of Aldrich Hall. Raelynn pointed at her and started up the stairs backwards, smiling. If she remembered correctly, her room was the first on the left. Just as she reached her door, she noticed that the people across the hall had left their door open. Well, what better time to meet the neighbors than right now? She stepped up to the door just as the music inside shut off. It made her jump slightly, like when you pick up your phone a split second before it goes off. She smiled and finally peered into the room, letting out a gasp when she saw Gemini leaned over a laptop. Maybe she should leave now. This was weird, right? But if he had heard her gasp it might be weird too. Sighing, she plastered a slightly fake smile on her face and knocked on the frame of the door and waved, " Well hey neighbor." She laughed, putting her hand on her hip; the feeling of her skin beneath her hand suddenly reminding her that she was wearing a bathing suit top as a shirt. |

Gemini was leaning over his desk one hand pressed down against while the other navigated the computer in front of him, as he closed out the itunes window. When he heard a knock at the door and a familiar voice he had to resist his natural reflexes to spin around. No, it couldn't be..but it was. He closed the top of the laptop slowly, not turning around immediately. Finally he turned around,his eyebrows raised when he saw Raelynn standing there in the red bikini top, his eyes lingering on it before they found her face. Gemini leaned back on the desk while his fingers held on to the edge. What it do girl? he said cooly with a head nod. Is this the traditional neighbor greeting attire, or am I just special? She said, winking, " When I met the guy in 207 I wasn't wearing anything at all." With a giggled, Raelynn added, " You're lucky I bothered to put on clothes." Gemini pressed his lips together, his eyes narrowing as he debated how to best answer her statement, sometimes he struggled with the right appropriate answer from a guy who was technically in a relationship. Alright, if he was being honest it was always and he never chose right. His green eyes twinkled mischievously I'm trying to figure out how I'm lucky in this scenario? He glanced over in the direction of his bed, which was made neatly except for a Guardians of the Galaxy throw blanket that had been left. A couple posters hung on the wall, one of the the Seahawks Cheerleaders another of a red headed girl posed on top of the hood of a car that looked similar to his. He shrugged Eh, I do what I can with what I have to work with. He turned his attention back to her, doing his best to keep his eyes focused on her face instead of moving else where. Smirking, Rae wasn't sure exactly what she was supposed to say. That thing, that undefined weird thing, was always there with them. Whether she tried to keep him at arm's length, or tried to be chummy with Gemini, they always had this weird connection she couldn't shake. She frowned at the thought and decided to ignore his comment. She wanted, more than anything, to not be that girl. She used to be a bitch and this time last year shouldn't have given convincing him to cheat a second thought, but she wanted...needed....to be better than that now. Raelynn laughed and shook her head quickly, holding up her hands, " Hey, I don't know the first thing about decorations. Most of my childhood was in complete darkness, remember?" She shrugged off the sad truth like it was one of those fun facts you say when you're playing two truths and a lie. |

Right...Dark childhood. TV. Crazy Mom. He said rubbing at the back of his neck. The memory of Raelynn huddled up with tears running down her face in the dark elevator they'd gotten stuck in while in Vegas resurfaced in his mind before switching to the one of her crazy mother before she got stabbed. How he'd managed to keep it together in the moment but how horrified he'd actually been when he wasn't sure they'd be able to save her. He gave a strained smile as he resisted the urge to hug her, maybe for his own comfort over hers. I feel like I need to help you redo your childhood or something...You know like take you to toys r us and buy you a doll, or Disneyland. Disneyland fixes everything. She walked across the room and sat on what was obviously Gemini's bed, because there is no way Gemini would have a poster of a Ford truck hanging over his dresser like his new roommate did. She cringed outwardly and laughed, " All it is to me is my cue to get some headphones." She sighed, shifting her weight to make it skwak lously under her weight, " Yeah, I'll always know when Dani is here." She said, actually bringing up Dani's existence for the first time in conversation since they had started talking again. The minute her name fell from her lips Raelynn got quiet and felt weird laying in his bed wearing a bathing suit top. She proceeded to get off the bed so he wasn't sitting quite so close to her and back away, " I was heading for food so..." She said, pointing her thumb over her shoulder in a way that made it painfully obvious she was trying to escape. |

Gemini bit his lip looking up at the ceiling for a minute, unsure of what to say. He usually didn't find himself in situations feeling awkward at least not until Raelynn brought up Dani. I'm not sure how much of that will be happening.. Y'know room mate and all. He said nodding his head in the direction of Taze's bed. He shifted his body slightly so she had more room to get up without coming into too close of contact with him. He might have offered to buy her lunch since Ryan was being lame if it wasn't so painfully obvious she was trying to get away from him. He sighed trying to ignore it. Raelynn stood silently in the doorway for a moment, not laughing as he teased her about food. All of that work, all of that effort she put in to forgetting about him and trying to move forward and here she was, all butt hurt because he didn't seem the least bit phased by her presence. Letting out a heavy sigh, she tried to find the words to say to make herself feel better, and to make it seem less like she was completely crazy, but all she could do was nod as she turned and started to unlock the door to room 202. She stepped inside, leaving the door open as she started rummaging through her closet to find something to wear. Should she ask him to eat with her? Raelynn pulled a Slim Shady top over her head and bit her lower lip, glad that she was less exposed now, " I guess I would let you buy me food." She finally choked out, even though she was sure it came across like she felt obligated to say so. |

When she moved from the door way he followed, stepping into the hall and pulling the door shut behind him. He glanced over his shoulder seeing She had left the door open.He stepped across the hall and leaned against the door frame just as she was tugging the shirt down over her head, reading the letters across it he smiled. He was about to tell her how much he liked her shirt when she spoke. Gem rolled his eyes at her tone Well damn Raelynn don't make me twist your arm or anything. She said in a more harsh voice than sh meant to, " But I don't know if it's a good idea. I mean, we have a weird kind of awkward history as it is, and I can't imagine that your girlfriend would be okay with you eating out with me." She explained, not sure if it was rude to assume that Dani wouldn't like it, or if it was presumptuous to assume he cared. |

Gemini recoiled a bit at her harsh tone, taking a small step backwards so that his body was more in the hallway than her dorm room. She had a point about the awkward history thing, even if awkward wasn't the word he'd use to describe it and if he was being honest he wasn't sure how Dani felt about the time he spent with Raelynn, not that Gemini was about to text her and ask. I don't know if she'd be okay with it and I won't say I don't care because I do... though I hardly think grabbing a slice of pizza with a girl is punishable, especially all things considered. He and Dani had spent how long in an open relationship? He stared down at the ground, pursing his lip together for a second before speaking I'm trying to keep you in my life. He pushed off from the door frame But,I'm not the kind of guy whose going to beg. So it's whatevez. He said cooly as he disappeared from the door way, trying to decide if he was just going to retreat back to his room or if he was going to leave to go find something to do.
