Since the Weather is Nice (Open)

The startled look on Charlie's face had Gemini about to apologize up until she smiled. Oh Wow, That's really cool Charlie. I'm sorry about your grandmother though..That must have been hard. Gemini didn't have a lot of experience with loss the way a lot of other people around him seemed to, which made it hard for him to relate to. Stay longer..? Is that a power limit or do they just stop showing up? He gave Charlie an apologetic smile when he realized he should probably stop firing questions at her Eh, Sorry. I just think your power is really fascinating. He admitted.

Leaning forward slightly he handed back her notebook That's really amazing Charlie, seriously. It's a beautiful drawing He said sincerely. My mom's an artist. Unfortunately I didn't inherit the skill, I can draw a dope stick figure though, triangle dress and all

"It's fine! I don't mind the questions. I've never really had anyone to talk to about it." Charlie was quick to say. She didn't want to scare off the first friend she had made since arriving. She was flattered to think anyone found her ability interesting and not in a 'run the other way' way. "I think it's dependent on the ghost for how long they stay? Although sometimes if I try I can make them stay longer or even try and summon a specific one. I've been working on getting better at that."

Charlie took back her sketchbook and let it rest on her lap again. She was intrigued when he said his mother was an artist. She also managed to not blush at the compliments this time. She figured eventually she might get used to them at the rate Gemini seemed to give them. She wasn't used to the attention and was a bit flustered trying to figure out what to say next. She settled on laughing before responding "Then the only place to go is up for your drawing skills!"

Gemini watched her as she talked, listening carefully to in her in a way that seemed like he was hanging on every word she said. Summoning ghosts? Do you want demons..because I'm pretty sure that's how you get demons. He said a small smile turning up the corners of his mouth. Though he was pretty sure he'd watched enough horror movies to know that summoning spirits was normally a horrible idea.

Gem grinned at her I like your optimism, maybe you can give me a lesson sometime. Then when I'm a famous artist one day...Which, you know is going to happen. I'll only have you to thank. He leaned back in the grass, putting most of his weight on his hands and wrists. So, how does the whole summoning thing work? Like do you need tarot cards? candles? Say a chant?

Charlie couldn't help but laugh again. This time feeling slightly less self-conscious about the gesture. When she first discovered her ability she can remember renting every ghost movie she could get her hands on in the hopes that they all couldn't be wrong. She had found that almost all of them were. "I've yet to meet a demon, but if I do I'll make sure to politely ask him to leave."

"With a few lessons I'm sure you will be the next Monet." She responded before considering his next question. The idea of tarot cards and candles suddenly conjured the image of herself wearing a pointy black hat and speaking strange words over a pentagram. It was so silly she smiled again, shaking her head. "Nothing like that. Usually I just need something personal of theirs and I can concentrate on that."

Gemini laughed at her response I don't think that's how it works girl..I don't think you can just be like... He cleared his throat like he was about to say something important. Excuse me sir, I summoned you by mistake, terribly sorry, If you'd kindly return to the fiery pits of Hell or wherever you've journeyed from... Well that would be just great. Thank You. Again, Sorry for any inconveniences Gem couldn't help but to continue to laugh as images of the scenario flashed through his head and the demon is all frickin' scary, because it's. a. demon. but he looks all confused but then a bit sad When Gem finally managed to get it together, he ran his fingers through his hair as if it'd somehow bring back his 'cool guy' attitude Man, I'm hilarious.

He gave her a blank look before his eyes narrowed while he tried to figure out who she was talking about, a look of realization came over his face and he nodded Monet.. right, right the french dude and the sunrise painting....? The last part came out more like a question than an actual statement. He knew little about art, and he was now sure Charlie assumed he was just another dumb jock, which well, didn't most people? Nice, I like it. Clean, simple. He said with a nod That is a really cool power.

Charlie tried to look offended by his lack of belief that she could politely deal with a demon, but gave up in favor of laughing as he described the situation he could picture. She put her face in her hands instinctively to smother some of the giggles escaping and tried to get her mirth under control before responding. "I don't know, I've always pictured demons to be more corporate looking than beast like. They're so obsessed with contracts that they seem more bloodthirsty lawyer than boogeyman." She now could see in her own mind a very put off looking clean cut man in a suit with small horns and sharp teeth. "I don't suppose they would just sue you for breach of contract though. Probably just go straight to dragging you into hellfire and all that."

When he made a stab at who Monet was Charlie just smiled. "That's right!" Her expression never wavered into one of judgement. She had always been under the impression that just because someone isn't as familiar as her about one thing doesn't mean they aren't great and knowing about something else. Who was she to judge someone for a lack of art knowledge. If he asked her about something like space or politics she would be completely lost. So she simply grinned and moved on. "I actually enjoy my ability most of the time. Although it probably isn't as useful as yours must be."
