With the sun sinking low in the distance, and the sky burning a bright pink-purple haze across the river basis 300 feet below them, the Lower Falls were more beautiful than he had ever seen them before. There were no other people around, with was odd for the generally crowded platform, but he figured it was because of how late it was. He found that, when they thought a Black Bear would jump out and attack them, people tended to retreat indoors for the evening.
He grinned and looked at the girl, her face shadowed by the darkening sky above them, "I thought there was no way a hydrokinetic wouldn't want to play here." He explained, bending down to place the palm of his hand on the ground, "And if you promise not to tell anyone, I'll show you something even better."

and I don't know how it gets better than this
Becca hadn't even thought about using her powers, not outside of Calloway or the school. No one seemed to be out there at this time of day and the view was breathtaking. Almost out of reflex, she held her hand out to call out a small stream of water, hovering it over her palm with an amazed smile.
When he reached down to the ground and held his hand there, her eyebrows raised in question, but she didn't ask. Whatever he was going to do, she would see it soon enough anyways. "My lips are sealed." Becca assured him before moving so that she could see a little better.

Her words, for some reason, assured him. He never, never, NEVER would have done this for anyone else, but something about her...The words didn't even actually register in his mind so he just shook it off. A nonchalant grin appeared on Liam's face as he willed the plants to grow. From the gravel about four inches away from his finger tips small vines started to twist and wind their way to the edge of the falls like little snakes. It was so dark, he could hardly see them, but he could feel them, dancing and weaving their way down the rocks that were dripping with the water of Lower Falls.
Suddenly, he pulled his fingers back and shook them. The tips of the vines had twisted and grown their way to the base of the river valley and plunged into the cold water below, making a shiver run up his arm. By tomorrow, the vines would be basically dead and washed away, but the point was right now. Standing up, he looked at the girl and directed her to the railing along the edge of the platform so she could see the falls better, "Ready?" He inquired, holding his hand out over the drop off and grinned. With a snap of his fingers, numerous flowers began to bud and bloom all the way down the vines. They were a rare South American bloom that glowed purple when there was no moon. Lucky for him, they sprang to life giving the entire falls the feeling of glitter and shine.
The glowing flowers began to released pollen with a rustle of the wind and the floating purple firefly like seeds dancing on the wind and circled the falls before drifting away towards the distant lights of Gardiner, Montana to the North.

The light continued to fade as Becca watched the vines twist and weave down the falls until she couldn't see them clearly anymore. It was fascinating to watch, but she was slightly confused by what he was doing until he snapped his fingers.
Purple flowers sprouted out from the vines and the rest of the show left her even more amazed than the falls had. "This looks like something out of a fairytale, but ten times better." She whispered, her voice full of awe as she found herself leaning over the rail to get a better look. It wasn't like she was afraid of falling. All she would have to do is channel enough water to catch herself and then move to solid ground again.

With the lights still bouncing on the wind and swirling around them like lightening bugs, Liam put a serious look on him face and arched a brow at her, "Hold your horses, Princess. Don't forget that this is our secret." He motioned to the falls, glittering with purple lights, "Not. A. Soul." He couldn't keep a straight face as he looked at her face, glowing in the purple light of the flowers.

She almost laughed until she saw the look on his face. Instead she nodded as an idea crossed her mind. "Fine." Becca shrugged. The railing in front of her wasn't very high, but she wasn't tall enough to just swing her legs over it. Placing one foot on the lowest rail, she lifted herself up and then jumped in to the water. Most people would have went under or at the least gotten wet, but she seemed to float on top of it as she concentrated on the water immediately below her.
"It's your turn to trust me though." She declared with a mischievous smile, motioning for him to join her on the water. "It's fine, I promise. Just try not to move your feet suddenly and I've got it under control." Most of the time she only did things like this on still water, but the rushing tides weren't giving her the problems that she had anticipated. One day she'd try it again by herself, but right now...practice was not on her to do list.

If there was only one word to describe Liam, it was the word fearless. He didn't hesitate to swing his legs over the railing and landed on the strange, almost spongy feeling water she had summoned up to them. He was standing very close to her, which would have normally been uncomfortable but the thought of falling the 350 feet to the river valley.
He wasn't sure what exactly got into him, but suddenly being over five feet away from solid ground make him sick to his stomach. Looking down, he realized he hadn't quite kicked that irrational fear of heights just yet, and in order to keep himself from breaking down like a little girl and crying, he chose to stare at the blond very closely while subconsciously building a vine net below them, in case they fall, "Whoa." He said, trying to keep him voice from reflecting how uncomfortable he felt.

and I don't know how it gets better than this
The purple lights reflected off the surface of the water, creating slivers of color everywhere they touched like streaks of lightning, but Becca was barely aware of them as the guy joined her in the water. There was something different about how it felt to be completely in control of another person and their well being. Sure, she had done this with friends before, but that had been out in the lake in shallow water. Here, they could drown or worse if her control slipped which was both terrifying and exhilarating at the same time.
A slight breeze found her hair, blowing it softly in to her face. In hindsight, Becca might have wanted to put her hair up, but it wasn't like this was her plan for the day. Quickly pushing the majority of it back out of her eyes, she was suddenly aware of how close they were and how oddly okay she was with it. She smiled up at him for a second before reaching out towards him, almost grabbing his hand before deciding against it and taking a few steps away from him. "I'm going farther out.You coming?" She asked, heading towards the center of the falls where the water was deeper.
Oranges and reds streaked the sky as the sun set in front of them. Becca actually found herself sitting down in the middle of the raging water. It was like having a front row seat on the edge of the world, with only herself and a stranger to share it with.

There was no force on Earth that could make Liam follow a random chick out further into the grasp of unsupported heights, balanced on the edge of power success and failure. Nope. No way. No how. He grinned, though, and flicked his finger quickly. The vine net he was created sprang upwards and tied itself between two trees on either side of the bank, creating a large hammock. He raised his eyes brows and fell backwards into it, looking completely bad ass while somehow glad he didn't scream like a teenage girl at a Justin Beiber concert from the fear, "I think I'm just gunna relax." He said, smiling at the girl and waving her on.

Becca rolled her eyes at his decision to sit this out, but still stood up and moved closer to him. Whoever this guy was, he was interesting at the least. "So, is this something you do with all the random girls you meet, or is this a special occasion?" She asked off handedly, staring at the water beneath her. Why did she care, anyways? He was just some guy she met at her cousin's bar. Still, she was worried that he was like the other ones. A smooth talking player who she'd get way too close to before getting burned. The last thing she needed or wanted was another heartache.

Liam arched a brow at her and swung his arms behind he head, looking at the star spangled sky and grinning, "Oh yeah, I show all the girls in town my stupid power and then tell them to keep it a secret." Looking at her like she said something completely dumb he laughed, "This is definitely not normal for me, is it for you? Do you normally climb into a stranger's truck and let then convince you to jump off the highest railing in Yellowstone?"

"Definitely not." She agreed, laughing at herself for a minute before she realized that her control had slipped slightly. Becca had only moved a few inches, but it did cause her heart to race just slightly faster than it had been a moment before. "I'm pretty sure this is the single most impulsive and reckless thing I've ever done in my entire life." Hopefully this guy didn't wait until they were out of the water to turn out to be crazy or something.

He didn't know what he was going to say in response, but whatever it was flitted away the moment her control slipped. His eyes went wide and he leaned forward in his vine hammock, a little freaked out by her near death experience, "Do you not have control over your power or something? Seems way more reckless to dangle yourself off a cliff without control than it would be to climb into my truck."

Even though she knew that things were well under control, Becca Still stood up and walked towards the hammock until she could reach out and grab it. The vines were more like a safety net at this point than anything else to keep her from slipping up again. "I'm fine. I just have to concentrate harder on moving water and sitting down plus laughing made me slip up for just a second." He was right though, she really should get out of the water. Her range was limited as it was, she couldn't afford a slip up at this point, especially if she intended to stay on the water for an extended amount of time. She'd go in to power exhaustion doing things like that.

He relaxed a little when she moved closer to his hammock. From that distance, he was able to quietly wrap vines up under the water that would jump up and catch her if she were to fall or something. Knowing he had control of the situation, he was able to lean back and watch the stars again, "You know you can come up here. I have perfect control of MY powers." He was kind of bragging and he knew it.
