Noticing her rubbing her arms he held the hoodie out to her again Are you sure you don't want the hoodie? Heading back in the direction of the truck he walked at a slow pace so that she could keep up with him. Why was he making her so mad? She felt the fire in her gut start to boil and bubble under the surface like it always did when she was furious. It almost felt like she was being targeted for no good reason. Why did she ALWAYS feel that way? Deep down, Raelynn knew she wasn't mad at Ryan. She was mad at herself for being upset about all of this. Maybe she would feel better if Gemini would just apologize, or if her sister was in town. But neither of those things were likely to happen. She glared furiously at Ryan, fire brightening her eyes to a blazing orange glow that made her ball her hands into fists, "Why did you have to be his best friend?" She shouted, swinging her arm downward, a ball of fire spreading across the ground at her feet and instantly melt away the ice coating the sidewalk, "I have no friends that are just mine. I have NO ONE. And any chance I had of being with someone that didn't care more about that...Gah! All of that ended the moment I fell for you." She pushed him, feeling a little guilty for the hand prints she left on his leather jacket as the material was singed.

He assumed most people would have been afraid of Raelynn's outburst. The flaming glow in her eyes or the fireball on the ground would have had any other person backing away out of fear of being burned. He stood in place, crossing his arms over his chest an emotionless look on his face the way a parent might look at a child throwing a tantrum. The only emotion he showed was when his eyes turned from their deep blue to fiery orange as the smell of singed leather filled the air when she pushed him. He wanted to be angrier and yell at her but he couldn't help feeling sorry for her, he knew all too well the feeling of being alone at least for the three years. Ryan fished the pack of cigarettes out of his jacket pocket. There was no way he was going to make it through this he'd need some serious nicotine, or at least something to do with his hands. He placed the cigarette against his lips. His thumb sparked up into a flame which he used to light the end of the cigarette. He took a deep inhale off the cigarette staring at the ground as Raelynn talked. He wasn't quite sure how he felt about the 'fall for him' except that it made him smile, even if it was just a small one that tugged at one corner of his mouth. I don't think anyone's falling all over him. Ryan said exhaling a puff of smoke. He held the pack of cigarettes out to her in the interest of being polite. He felt really bad about Dani, and if I remember right things wouldn't have been like that if it wasn't for your sister. Ryan couldn't contain the eye roll over the petty high school drama. I don't know about the drugs and your mom and all that. Coop doesn't handle emotions well, I'm not saying that it's an excuse and I'm actually surprised He wasn't there more after your stabbing. I'm just saying that's probably why. Ryan looked away taking another quick inhale, blowing the smoke out slowly watching it dissipate into the the cool winter air. When I told him about our date a few days afterward his exact words were "Hm That's chill bro, Sounds like a blasty blast." I ran into him in the hallway on the way out to meet you for the concert." She said, looking concerned, "He basically told me I'm a fickle bitch and to stay away from you." Sure those may not have been his exact words, but it's the take away that matters, right? She continued, "And Becca apologized. She regretted what she did and tried to make amends. I'm not saying He's excused I'm just trying to prove a point as to why I don't hate him. There was a clear frustration in his voice as he closed the door with an eye roll. Walking around to the other side of the truck. He opened the drivers door and climbed in, tossing the hoodie he was still holding in the back seat. He started up the truck and adjusted the heater knowing she had to be cold without a jacket. He wasn't quite sure what to say her to her as he pulled onto the road back toward the school.
