Ralph's powers are actually that of Animal Morphing but he has yet to actually fully morph so it seems like its mere mimicry.  Ralph had to admit that one of his favorite places to go was Calloway park, he loved the outdoors, the warmth on his back and the gentle breeze that was blowing through the fairly quiet park. He only came to park though when he was up for facing a sensory overload, to most people the park was just a park but to Ralph it was a lot more. He could smell the grass, he could smell the rain that hung in the air, threatening to fall any moment. He could smell every other canine visitor that had been there in the last week, he'd slowly been making his way around the park leaving his own scent. He had been warned about marking his territory by urination and he'd been told it shouldn't be done especially in a public place, so he simply rubs himself against anything solid much like a cat would. He wasn't doing that at this moment in time, rather he was sat on the grass, his legs behind him in an odd 'v' shape. He'd been sat in the park for quiet a while with no explaination other than he wanted some peace, sure it wasn't particularly peaceful in the park, there was the odd family about and quiet a few dogs but Ralph found the sounds of footsteps on the grass to be quiet than when they pounded down on the concrete within the town. Moments earlier Ralph had been running, but had to stop as sharp pains ran up both his legs and into the base of his spine. He didn't know what they were but he was pretty sure he'd pass out if they didn't stop. His current position is the only one that seemed to settle the pains. He realized how odd he must've looked sat in the park alone, but Ralph was a silent protector and he found that sitting and just watching people whether human or not managed to keep him grounded or at least settled his instincts ever so slightly. Danielle tried to spend as little time out and about in Calloway as possible. It was too small for the city girl and reminded her of how far away from home she was. Still, whenever her friends had decided that a shopping trip in the sleepy little town was necessary she had tagged along, more because she felt obligated to than because she wanted to. Most people took extreme comfort in having so many SPBs in a small radius, but Dani wasn't most people. It sounded like a recipe for disaster, like the muggers and bullies had better tricks than they had back home.
An hour was all it took for her to get bored of watching the other try on shiny clothes and coo over accessories that she couldn't see herself ever wearing. The original plan was for her to find a restaurant to hide out in until the twits were done, but she had gotten lost in the unfamiliar town and ended up at the park instead. Oh well, it was as good of a place as any to mess around. Coming out from behind the tall bushes, she was startled to find someone already there, enough so that she actually moved to defend herself before realizing that the guy probably didn't even know she was there.
"Sorry, didn't see you." It was a weak apology, but it wasn't like she had actually done anything wrong. It was a public place after all.

Ralph had caught scent of the female long before she actually appeared from the behind the bushes, he could hear her footsteps too. He also quickly picked up on the fact that she wasn't a threat, he demeanor was all wrong for her to be a serious threat so Ralph had remained where he was having no need to defend himself. Although not threatening the female was definitely not happy. There was a moment that he sensed she became defensive but it soon disappeared so he didn't bother with it. He heard her apology and shrugged, "Its a free country " was his response. It was true though he was in a public space and while he hated people on his territory he knew that the park realistically didn't belong to him and he couldn't expect people not to invade it, despite the fact that he'd left his scent in quiet a lot of the park. Obviously the female couldn't actually distinguish his scent from the rest of the park smell you get. Ralph willed himself to stay put but it didn't really work to stop him standing to his full 6f 2 height and walking a circle around the female, while his sensitive nose was taking in her scent and what he could tell about her, she'd been around other people a little earlier, she was about sixteen years old the same age as his little sister. Once he looped around the female taking in her scent a couple of times he stood in front her and looked directly in her eyes willing her to break eye contact as the Wolf side of him started the battle for dominance. Her first instinct was to straighten up from her normally slouched position even though she was still almost a foot shorter than him. Dani wasn't a stranger when it came to the macho types trying to show their dominance, but she wasn't bluffing either. Years on the city streets and in foster homes had toughened her up enough that she would try anyone at least once if they gave her a reason to. Most fights she won, some she lost, but none of them mattered when the newest player stepped in the ring. "Alright big guy, if you're going to try me, get it over with. I don't have all day. " she was practically growling, her voice low and her guard up as her hand hovered over the piece of chain loosely wrapped around her waist with her belt. It wasn't a great weapon, but it was something.

He knew that most people didn't get that and most people in this place walked with their head down anyway so there wasn't a need to challenge them. He had been told that he should learn to establish his leadership in other ways. The growl was what alerted Danielle that something was off about the guy in front of her. Sure, her own had been low and coarse, but that was like a legitimate dog growling. It hyper focused her, allowing her to finally notice his features for the first time. From the looks of it he was some sort of shifter, probably animal morphing if he was walking around in public like that. At least she had a reason for why he was acting this way. He was literally trying to dominate her. Stupid alpha instincts. "I know what you are trying to do and it won't work with me buddy. I'm not one of your pack to claim, I'm my own alpha." In her relatively small experience with things like this, things were either going to go two ways. He was going to get super ticked and the fight would be on or his instincts would switch and allow him to recognize the presence of an alpha female. Then again, it had only ever happened to her twice, so maybe he would just go on ahead and suprise her.

Ralph although generally spending time alone he wasn't a loner, he had to have people in close proximity to him. He'd never heard of anyone being their own Alpha, but then most people weren't half Wolf with pointed ears and sharp teeth. He had indeed been trying to dominate her. It seemed clear that this woman wasn't going to be dominated by him and clearly he recognized that as his eye gaze dropped the floor, finally breaking that eye contact and accepting her as Alpha Female. "Sorry." it was an honest apology for trying to dominate the female in the first place. "I'm Ralph by the way." he said, settling into a calmer more submissive stance. "You aren't the first, you won't be the last." Danielle replied coolly, walking over to a nearby bench and sitting down before looking up at him. Part of her was almost disappointed. That could have been an awesome fight, but she wouldn't push it. She never did. "I'm Danielle, call me Dani." With the danger averted, she took the opportunity to look him over from a distance. Even with the pointy ears and the few other quirks she could notice, he wasn't bad looking. If she actually allowed herself to be attracted to anyone, it would probably be to a guy like him. "So, what brings you to the most boring place in an already snooze worthy town?"

Ralph kept his eyes on the woman as she sat down on a bench, he gave her a small smile as she looked up at him introducing herself. "Pleasure to meet you." Ralph responded. He still averted his eye gaze away from hers as he sat next to her, with quiet a lot of space between them. "It's quiet here and it smells nice." Ralph responded to her question. Danielle didn't respond right off as she tried to figure out what was different about the smell of the park from anywhere else in Yellowstone. Maybe the gardens made the place more pleasant, but that was all she could think of. "Well, I guess if that's what your looking for then it's great. A little tame though, isn't it? You could do the same thing at the Rapids or the beach and at least get a rush out of it." Okay, so Dani was a bit of an adrenaline junky, but that was besides the point. She was used to fast moving, big cities and a twin brother to keep her busy. They needed a theme park or something around here, stat.

Ralph thought about what she said, she was probably right but Ralph hated water and predominantly that is what was found on Rapids and a beach. "I'm not a fan of water." was his response, the only form of water he liked was the rain but that was as far as it went. Ralph was used to a slow paced life, he'd grown up in a small town and his family couldn't ever afford the luxury of theme parks and he'd never actually been to a massive city. Dani shot Ralph a puzzled look whenever he said that he didn't like the water. Maybe he just needed to be shown a good time more than anything. "Fine, no water. What do you do for kicks around here then? Other than intimidate strangers in the park. She was teasing, of course, especially since he was acting so subdued ever since their little standoff had stopped. "Dude, don't take it so personal. You don't need to be submissive around me now, just chill out with the posturing. I get it, it's a guy thing or maybe more for you, but we can be friends without it." With a slight smirk, she turned to face him slightly before adding one last almost joke. "Besides, you're cute when you're being bossy."

Ralph of course found her teasing amusing and be smirked a little at her comments. He did have a habit of intimidating strangers but usually they were in close proximity to him much like Dani was. "I love being outside, I love to run and hunt." he said. He did enjoy doing many outdoorsy things, not swimming though. He loved walking in the early hours of the morning or running late into the day. "I can't help it. Instincts are a force to be reckoned with." Ralph replied to her but he'd visibly brightened at the idea that they were equals, he had the biggest grin on his face and if he had a tail it would be wagging. "Friends? I like that. " Truth was Ralph had very few friends and to have someone say they could be friends made him feel good. " Uh..thanks I guess." Dani couldn't help it one bit when she started laughing at Ralph's reaction. " I just don't know what to do with you big guy. I'm sure I'll figure something out." With a wink, she stood up and offered her hand to him. She wasn't sure how long she had been sitting there talking to him, but surely her friends were getting worried by now and that never boded well. " Wanna walk with me for a little bit?
